Meh. I didn't quite say that it took ten years to culminate to that.

Present
Little Sakura clung to EMIYA's leg, sobbing as she kept her vicegrip on his pants' legs.
Little Rin looked very close to tears herself.
EMIYA sighed, "Sakura, please let go of my leg..."
He tried not groan in annoyance as Little Sakura only shook her head, and clung even tighter. "No! I dun wanna go the creepy old man!"
EMIYA grimaced at this. Said 'creepy old man' was non other than Zouken Makiri, coming to claim a deal made with the Tohsaka family. EMIYA very well knew what this meant, and the future tragedy it would bring.
"Of course not. I'm asking you to let go, so we can make proper preparations to say no."
The girls blinked at this.
Four Days Later
Zouken had to smirk as Sakura soon-to-be Matou walked towards him, while his eight-year old grandson held a sneer at the meek looking girl approaching them.
"Well, child. I hope you finally understood what's best for both families."
Sakura gulped at this, then answered, "I have my answer."
Zouken raised an eyebrow at the strange answer, but didn't give too much thought into it, As he turned around, beckoning her to follow, "Well, come along then. There is much that you need to be educated to be a proper Matou."
He expected her to be hesitant to follow, foolish young child that she was. What he hadn't been expecting was an answer, "But I didn't even say what my answer was."
Before Zouken could react, Little Sakura suddenly dashed towards the two. Then she kneed Shinji in the groin, while kicking Zouken's cane off balance as she ran back towards the Tohsaka household.
Two Matous were on the ground that day. One clutching his crotch, whimpering in pain, while the other was cursing a little girl that she'll rue the day she was born for evoking his wrath, while cursing about his thrown back as well.
On the roof, with a bow and arrow notched, Shirou blinked at the rather unexpected turn of events.
Sakura was supposed to just say no, and run back to the house, then he would shoot the arrow at Zouken's feet to say that Sakura, and by extension him, meant business. He didn't quite expect that.
Nine and a Quarter Years Later
Shirou Emiya smiled as he greeted Sakura, Rin, and their rather stern guardian, Archer. It was virtually routine to have the Tohsaka girls and guardian barge in on his house in the early mornings, but one he appreciated.
Well, except for all the ribbing Big Sis Fuji and Rin gave him about Sakura being Shirou's wife. Even Archer-san smirked in amusement at his expense.
Sakura would just give a dainty little giggle, then began cooking breakfast for the household.
In his mind, Shirou had to admit that he wouldn't mind having Sakura for a wife. She had a great body and personality, and was very sweet to everyone.
Well, sweet to everyone but Shinji Matou, apparently anyway. Sakura, for all her rather chirpy and mildly upbeat personality,, it was particularly jarring when her mood makes a sudden 180 turn whenever she encounters Shinji. It doesn't quite help that the two were very antagonistic towards each other, and would get on rather lengthy, and if some of his classmates and Rin are to be believed, epic pissing matches over something he didn't quite understand.
Worse still when both are present at the Archery Club. Then the general members weren't sure if the two were going to notch an arrow at the target, or at each other.
But overall, Shirou had to admit, with a small blush on his cheeks, that he wouldn't mind having Sakura as a wife.
Unnoticed, Archer gave Rin a smirk, to which she just grumbled, and slipped him a few bills of money.
Stupid horny Shirou, making her lose her bet.
