FYI... I noticed the Fate Stay Night section has been rebadged Type moon... Great, glad was done, and it makes far more sense...


One issue... on the main page the links under it are labeled TM Ideas, TM Previews, TM Talk... those same names are used for the Tenchi Muyo area... as far as I know the links direct properly and are not crossed, but it is a but odd looking.

How about we work it sort of like the lemon section?

Naruto
Bleach
whatever


That would just require moving the forums into their category. So we would have the anime section, with its subsections. But we would also have dead animes within the general anime section, like in the lemon section. These would branch off into their own subsections.


Might get a bit annoying to use actually, now that I think about it.

Oh well, just a thought.

Sorry, I derped and somehow ended up posting by pressing space, so I couldn't get the whole idea out. Had to go and edit it in.


Of course, I still think that the graveyard idea would have been best. I mean, I don't really feel that navigating the site as it is now is a chore. I'd just like to move the old out so we can get the new in.

It's a little confusing if you hit the "View New Posts" page and see all the topics in the TM Previews, TM Talk and so on. Is there really a need to abbreviate it, considering that there are other forums with much longer names? I'd rather have them expanded, unless it really helps with the mobile devices. Same with HP and LH.

You mean other than 'Dual Parallel Trouble' and 'Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari'?

Dual Parallel Trouble was actually ok, but is only at best indirectly related to Tenchi and can even be taken on its own. A direct Tenchi franchise with robots does not remotely sound appealing.

Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari was IMHO good only if one can ignore the slavery crap...

If you mean something else... as a direct franchise extension... Not interested.

Look at the rest of the sub-forums: The only ones that aren't shortened are one-word titles. It's entirely in keeping with the standard.

(Besides, Tenchi isn't going to last the week...*cough*)

Hawk's various forums would just get thrown into the Graveyard.
The different Rants would be merged into General's Rants subforum, with General Rants itself becoming general talk, because that's basically what it is.
Ogame and World of Darkness would be merged into RPG.

tl;dr: Minimize the shit you don't care about, have the stuff you do! Thoughts?

I can get behind this idea. I like it quite a bit. There are forums that I don't even go *into* anymore. It'll be nice to have them handy should I desire to visit, though.

Remove the talk subforum and use the main forums for it. Why do we have that as a subforum if we never use the main one in the first place I don't know. Rename the main forums by removing the word 'fanfiction' because that's already their category.

Can we still do that? There were main forums on oTFF where you could post outside of the three sub-forums but they either don't exist here or need to be added.

Souffle, this isn't a thread for posting your ideas, this is a thread for the idea on the first page. Also, I disagree with your idea anyway.

to knight504: I already fixed all that when I was admin, except for the general forum, since there was too many posts in it, all of which needed to be distributed between talk/previews/ideas.

Seriously people, read the goddamn OP. There's an actual damn good idea here.


...And don't +rep me for the idea, post here and say that you approve. The admins aren't going to be checking reps to see if people like the idea :p

Honestly, I quite like this revised layout. Sections and fandoms are clearly defined and easily collapsible, with the boards receiving the highest traffic getting their own limelight. Me likey, Mikey!

I like it. I don't know about calling it the big three though. Maybe Biggun's :p. That way the number of them won't matter, and we can use a Married with Children reference.
