It combines various different concept's, it's been getting more concrete recently, after rewatching the first Rebuild and starting another Eva fic kick.
The basic premise is an Elseworlds, where a few thing's are different.
First, Second Impact was both intentional, and an accident, intentionally done by SEELE and accidentally done by Adam.
Second, awakening a White Seed (Adam) on a Black Seed (Lillith) owned World is against The Law, and vice versa (Which will be explained later.).
Third, some Psycholigists and Therapists survived second impact, and Gendo understands the flaw behind giving pet Demi-Gods to fractured teenagers, Shinji is a bit braver and more stable, Asuka (Shikinami, going from Rebuild) is vastly less of a bitch, and is mostly over her mom issues and superiority/inferiority complex, Rei isn't QUITE the doll as in canon, though she's still extremely introverted.
Fourth, the Angels are sapient, there are few more then in canon, and they DON'T truly die when their core is destroyed, They aren't even really enemies of humanity either (with some exceptions), they're more like cops or judge's then anything, simply testing Humanity after they broke an edict to see what level of punishment they receive, second impact was a bit above the minimum sentence, if the Lilim pass all the test's, they get off without further adu, they even get to keep the Eva's.
Fifth, each Angel's test is different, and can be passed without actually beating the Angel, the core just represents an 'I Win' button they can 'press' if they can't figure out what the test is, or, if the test involves battle, the target of the test.
Sixth, The fifteen year waiting period and Humanity getting a hold of the sample's needed to create Eva's was intentional, The Angel's deliberately waited until the Lilim had a fair shot before starting.
Seventh, (This was with 99% certainty taken from CoaEG) When an Angel is beaten, it will select one of the one's that beat it (Eva/Pilot), and bestow it's 'blessing', in other words, it's powers, this blessing can only be bestowed to ONE Eva/Pilot pair, most of the time, this will be the one that struck the killing blow, though Bardiel is a planned exception, giving it's 'blessing' to UNIT-03/Touji after being defeated in apology for using him the way it did, and Israfel... and Israfel, who bestows his blessing on two pilots, minor though it is.
Eighth, When Shinji stumble's and falls, Sachiel lift's him up, then asks him if he would like her to come back in a week or so, considering he obviously wasn't ready for this, then, upon his 'alien invader' accusation, she assumes Human form, teleports him out of the Eva, and calmly has Tea with him while explaining a bit about what the hell is going on, as this was part of her assignment, that being, explaining the test's, she also informs him about the the rules of her test, as one of them is that she must explain them, another is that she is not allowed to intentionally kill anyone unless the Lilim fail.
Ninth, some of the Angel's get upgrade's:
Sachiel: The one's gotten in rebuild, in other word's, it can render it's upper body ripped for a short period, greatly increasing it's strength, it can also fly short distance's, it manifest's a Halo of energy while doing so.
Shamshel: It's whip's are longer, it's has clawed leg's, it's lower thorax is coated in a glowing purple acid, it has poisonous fangs.
Ramiel: Is fucking awesome.
Gaghiel: Can swim through solid surfaces as well as water, though, this should only get seen when it passes straight through the ship UNIT-02 is standing on, can also retract it's 'fins' to make itself into a large torpedo.
Israfel and Israfel: Dance Dance Revolution.
Sandalphon: Other then a sonic attack he can't use in the lava, same as canon, though he DOES have an internal temperature adjustment system, so 'thermal expansion' won't kill him, though, the coolant WILL poison him and give him horrible stomach pain.
Matarael: Acid Spitting Sword Spider.
Sahaquiel: Pretty much the same, though he's not a suicide bomber this time, he has a survival plan.
Iruel: Will NOT die like in canon, I'm going to lightly base him on the Nobody dies version, only vastly less evil and British, his test is about fear, obviously.
Leliel: Her test is about Loyalty, oddly, she's TECHNICALLY, supposed to test all the Pilots, but Shinji destroys her core after taking the test himself.
Bardiel: Oh god Bardiel, body horror to the max.
Zeruel: Has Come, bitches, and he is Badass.
Arael: Psychic Rock Concert.
Armisael: Laser Tentacle Rape.
Tabris: Pilot of UNIT-06. he's technically the liaison for the Angel's and the Lilim, his test is the easiest to pass, his AT Field is the strongest, has a better understanding of Lilim then in canon, enough to know not to call them Lilim if he want's his cover to stay up for one thing, he's also lost a few pounds of Gay, he will be the only pilot to never get a 'blessing'.
The order they come in will be adjusted as well, then there's the non canon Angels, although, most of them will be taken from concept art.
Now, moving on to the extra stuff.
The first Jet Alone will go differently, and earlier, remember, the Angels set it up so that the Lilim would be able to fight back, any facet that would assist with that was facilitated and supported, so the first Jet Alone actually get's to go up against an Angel, a non canon Angel, but an Angel none the less, but it get's type matched to death, goes down, and _______ in UNIT-__ get's the kill, and the 'blessing' it infers.
BUT, the first Jet Alone was the Prototype, the second one will be the second version, the one Jet Alone Prime from Nobody Dies was based on, with it's hammer, this one will be much more functional, the fact it looks like a tall Ganmen is just a bonus.
The second version will, of course, be piloted by Mana Kirishima, after the horrible failure the first suffered due to lack of a human pilot.
Mari Makinami has a place, though she won't be piloting 2 or 5, in fact, TECHNICALLY, she won't actually be piloting anything.
The pilot's will all (excepting Mana, who's mecha can't receive 'blessings' due to being pure machine, Mari, by virtue of not being there to bless, and Kaworu, by virtue of 'coincidentally' not striking any killing blows) have SEVERE problems with their 'Blessings' when they start to show up on their HUMAN bodies.
And finally, none of the Angels go down easy in a fight, none of them, especially Zeruel, anything that fight's him is getting maimed at minimum.
I wanted to get all this down where someone could see it, I need some input before I expand it a bit more.
