John Hughes, writer/producer/director of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", "Home Alone", and a bunch of other stuff, has died. He was 59.
I think he was talking about Les Paul there, Juubi. I haven't heard of him either.
But apparently he's the guy who invented the electric guitar, which earns him my respect, since without electric guitars my vast music library would look very, very different right now. Hell, it might even be empty.
On the bright side, he died much older than any of the other famous people who've died in the last four or five months.

I didn't know him either. Hell, the only celeb who died that I knew jack shit about was Michael Jackson, and that's just because he's an alleged child-molester. All I know is that celebrities are dying left, right, above, below, and center. That shit doesn't seem coincidental to me.....but I may be thinking to much into it. :huh.:

My brother, who actually is in a band for fun, knew almst instantly who he was, I only had to mention the name and guitars...
However, I myself only listen to a very small collection of music, most going from alternative to what used to be called 'light rock' to country... Electric guitars... while certainly present, are not as key to the music as normal traditional guitars and stringed intruments, and synthesizers.
