Damn. Not surprised, but I was kind of hoping...

Here's another one I'd like to see: After fleeing Third Year, Sirius circles around and decides to be Harry's beloved pet dog for the summer. It would be nice to see a story where Sirius sticks around to keep an eye on Harry, and the consequences that creates.

After all, why would Harry Potter keep someone out to murder him as a pet?

As interested as I am in reading this, its such an obvious idea, that I'll be shocked if there isn't such a story out there already.

I remember reading a fic some time ago that had a manipulative Dumbledore and
Harry had somehow managed to vanquish Voldie and all his Horcruxes but
Dumbles is convinced that Harry missed one or more and is trying to persuade
him to accept help in vanquishing the rest.

Harry then somehow manages to neutralize Dumbledore and put away in the
same ward as Lockhart.

I'm looking for a story where Harry is Merlin reborn. There was one Harry/Daphne story that I've already read, but I cant remember if there was a Harry/Hermione version.

Edit: Also, I'm now looking for any story where Harry becomes a teacher while still in school.

It's been a while... But I've been looking for a very specific fic for over a year and so I thought I'd turn to my brothers-in-arms whom I've not spoken to much over the last year +.

The fic I'm looking for his a Harry/Ginny fic... Yes, I know, it's nearly the height of blasphemy here, but we all have our guilty pleasures- though admittedly, I've always been a fan of the pairing myself. Anyways... It's one I read years ago and I've felt like reading it again, but I can't find it anywhere...

Here are the details I remember about it:

It takes place post-DH, DH Complaint (for the most part) though not Epilogue compliant.

The story starts out with Harry having contracted Dragon Pox and was discovered on the brink of death by Ginny, who is at this point a St. Mungos Healer. She isolates herself and Harry to treat him and uses Legilimency to figure out how/where he got the disease so that she can better treat him. Over the course of figuring out how he got sick, she stumbles on memories of her brothers noticing that he has feelings for her prior to her sixth year and them telling Harry to back off for her safety, so he never acts on his feelings for her. It happens again directly after Voldemort was defeated and results in Harry falling into a deep depression and becoming unstable to the point that Tonks, who survived the Second Battle of Hogwarts, names Ron and Hermione Teddy's godparents.

If anyone can remember the title/author etc. it would be greatly appreciated.

Sadly the author has removed all official copies of his/her work wherever it was posted. I think there are folks who saved copies before they were taken down.

Thanks, guys. Does it bug anyone else when authors take down their work for whatever reason? I get it that it's their choice, but still... It's like what happened with Fettucini/Serpent Sannin a few years back... I just don't get how people can get so fed up with either their fandom a or their readership to take down all their works in protest. I also get that people can get sensitive about their older works... Lord know I've come a long way since I wrote "Hero Reborn"... But it's also nice to see where I've been from time to time, despite where I'm going.

I suppose I'm just overly sentimental like that...

It depends on the fandom, I guess. Some fandoms can be pretty toxic, especially when it comes to fanfiction. Harry Potter has one such fandom.

I suppose... The Naruto fandom is like that at times too, but like I said, it's not something really I understand personally.

Even as much as I cringe when I look at my earlier works, I still keep them up because they show me and others how much I've improved. It's why I always reread the early chapters of my drabble fic, "Vault M2J". I understand abandoning a lost cause... Things that happened in my life during '06 made me lose all sorts of inspiration or will to write. By the time I got back into writing, I was so changed that I couldn't even begin how to figure out how I was going to finish "Legend of Potter" or "Cost of War"... My writing and thought processes were just so different back then and they've greatly changed since I began writing again when I started writing "UKG: The Jagan" in '08.

There are times where I get uber nostalgic and reread various fics I haven't heard/thought of/read about for YEARS. Sometimes I look at a fic and think... God, I used to like this!? Other times... It's like... Wow! I can't believe I haven't read this in ages! And sometimes, it's been so long since I've read a fic, that it takes me forever and a day to find it again.

Searching for another fic where Sirius takes his responsibilities towards Harry seriously and uses his position as head of the Black family to get oaths from Tonks, Remus and a few others to put Harry first no matter what Dumbledore's plans are.

Can't recall if it was any good but:

Harry takes off to New Zealand.
Meets an older woman that reminds him of Hermione.
Hermione had set-up her parents in NZ and not Australia.
They'd ended up getting a divorce for some reason, maybe cheating.
Hermione comes to find them and reverse the memory charm.
She learns from her father that they'd been split for a long while.
When she finds her mother she's happily dating Harry.

Looking for this story that was I think a quasi crossover between Harry Potter and Naruto and had a young Harry either learn to use his magic like chakra or his magic created chakra. The one scene that really sticks out is Harry at Hermione's house and Dumbledore was I think there checking on Harry and Harry was demonstrating what he could do with his abilities by running so fast around a park that he was either hard to see or hard to track. I don't think it was Of Wands and Kunai because I'm reading that right now and it doesn't seem like the right story (not to mention I did a quick Crtl + F search through the chapters and it didn't seem right)

Have you heard of this fic? Delenda Est on fanfiction.net. Harry goes back in time, marries Bellatrix, but past that I don't know (haven't finished yet). The story is more or less focused on the politics of the times (and later on...

). I highly recommend reading it.
