Looking for Harry Potter fics where Voldemort actually dies after the killing curse curse rebounds on him the first time on Halloween when Harry is one. I'm kind of interested in seeing how this would affect Harry's schooling at Hogwarts, it might change a bit without Tommy showing up so much at the school.
I'm looking for a fanfic, but I can't remember (too many) details. I remember that it has characters from the anime: D.N Angel. I actually believe that it was slashly like, but despite that, it was (is) quit a good read.
I am of the opinion that slashy stories CAN be good, if they are built up right. (random example)

I do NOT like fics, where he is doing 18+ things just like 'that' with absolutely no built up.
I think that many of you can agree with this.
Anyway like I said, there isn't much I remember. But I do remember that Draco was abandoned at some point, that daisuke and dark (who are one character in canon) are seperate characters in this story.
They run a gang in the streets of london. krad and his other part (can't remember the name) runs another gang.
You can compare it somewhat to Yugi and the Nameless Pharaoh (Yami) Yugi is the Light,(hikari) While The Pharaoh is Yami (dark)
I hope any of you know what story I'm talking about.

I do not longer receive the update mails when a topic has been updated with a reply. I used to receive at least a dozen or so updates. I figured that something might have been wrong or being fixed in the background, but it's been from january or even earlier than that, since I received ANYTHING at all.
Do any of you still receive updates?

I'm looking for a story which takes place mainly in the first year.
From what I recall, Harry was sorted into Slytherin. The distinguishing scene that I recollect is that in the last chapter I remember reading, it was Christmas and Harry and Daphne rescued a unicorn foal and got it drunk.

Sirius and Remus flee with an infant Harry to raise him againts Dumbledores wishes. He gets the IWC to order an international arrest for them, and when they finally catch them there is a fight where everyone but Harry dies. (i think there was a Japanese witch too, who i think married Sirius).
Harry is angry a threatens Dumbledore, wheile he is in jail, with a feud, when he finally gets to be Head of Potter House.
Fudge and some IWC Members try to help Harry, because they want to use the hunt for harry which made some diplomatic incidents for some leverage against Dumbledore and teh english Ministry. The Japanese Miniytrs of Magic gets somehow involved, but i cant remember exactly how.

Have you read any books by David Edding's? Jeconais' writing reminds me of David Eddings.
Everyone is a cynic with a snappy one-liner, the good guys and the bad guys are clearly defined, all the character's are the same people but with different names, and they manage to say the most cliched over the top shit that you couldn't even think of saying IRL without cringing..
And like David Edding's you can't help but consider it a decent read.
