After seeing the IMO train wreck in the Recommendation thread I'm reminded of a older HarryxDC cross but I can't remember where it is or its name.

The premise is that Harry is left in Gotham after the Dursleys fail to get a drill deal with Bruce Wayne.? Harry eventually stumbles onto Ivy's hideout, and while she is away he takes care of the plants.? When Ivy gets back she takes him in and makes him her unofficial sidekick.

So any help?

I don't think you'll be all that thankful after you read it.

I've read it before, and no matter the quality it is still the best HP/DC cross I've seen.

Which is kinda sad when I think about it.

Though I would be really happy if someone had better ones to be recommended.

Do either of those fall into one of these three categories?

1. The people from one or the other universe are so uber that they can either solve all the problems of the others, or they make the other people look like jokes? (This is somewhat understandable if it is someone like Dr. Fate, The Specter, or Superman who are designed to be that Uber)

2. Do the DC people when introduced to magic start to describe magic using BS theories that turn out to be right because the author says so which makes them instantly have the awe and praise of the HP people and makes them WTFOMG powerful? Or do they start whipping out inventions that have never even been discussed before to the same results?

3. Do the DC people start throwing out questions/theories that should be obvious or that are blatantly stupid, yet it is revealed that NO-ONE in the history of HP thought of them, and thus they are portrayed as having god-like intelligence because of it?

Well I made it to chapter 6 in Suffecently Advanced Technology before I had to bail.

Rampent OOCness, Robin is some sort of Super Wizard (Or atleast he can learn spells instantly), and also apperently everyone will tell there secrets to others at the drop of the hat, and at times it seemed that they didn't even have to ask to have it revealed.

Also no, unless we went to completly different chemistry classes, potions is not like chemistry. If anything it has a lot more in common with cooking.

I don't know about that, in cooking you just mix things, but they keep their properties, while in chemistry the components react with eachother to form new things. I think potions more like chemistry that way, because many of the ingredients (bad word choice for the argument, I know) are solids. If it were cooking they would still be floating in the water

I'm looking for military oriented stories. Wether it's in the muggle world and he joins the army and is found by magical people. Or the war has a magical army of some sort, or etc... :p

The reactions may be more like chemistry, but the method is more like cooking. You just put a fire and add various things at various times. Like a demanding recipe for stew.

Hmm, and except for the Sueish Hermione, and the Luna portrayal Wizards, Superheroes, and Jackalopes is quite good.

Besides, Batman knows magic users. he's not just going to assume that Hogwarts is anything but magic. He's probably met Tim Hunter. You know, the guy that is literally the next Merlin.

You know Books of Magic's last issue shows Harry Potter as being one of Tim's other selves. I wonder if anyones ever done anything with that?
Also has there ever been any stories involving wizards in space? Crossovers are okay but I'm specifically talking about non-crossover stuff. I'd like to read something where Harry/Hermione/random muggleborn gets pissed off about how much better wizards are to muggles and asks when was the last time a wizard went to the moon.

Funny, I seem to recall something like this.

Basically, either Harry or Hermione commented that man had walked on the moon. Another pureblood (I believe it was Ron but I could be mistaken) said that it was impossible, because somebody had tried to apparate there and was never heard from again.

This was refuted by the fact that 1) the moon is much farther away than it appears so it was stupid to try apparating there in the first place (how many thousands, if not millions of miles is it to the moon? I forget), and 2) even if a wizard did manage to make it there the lack of atmosphere would put a real crimp in his style.

The response to this was a dumb stare.

Yeah I can see that happening. I would still like to read a wizards in space story. Maybe Hermione figures out a way up?

I remember something like that in a Draco is dumber than Draco-bashing fanon story.

Aarrgh! I give up.
For a few weeks now, I've been trying to locate an Azkaban!Harry fic I read once.
Harry escapes the premises with one of the Slytherin non-entities (Davis or Greengrass), and - along with Malfoy - they move to the Bahamas. From there, they rain revenge down on the order and whoever else crosses them. I particularly remember something about them buying all the land surrounding the Burrow, then complaining about all the garden gnomes that the Weasleys throw out onto their lot.

Anyone?

A good Vampire!Harry fic is as elusive as a good Veela fic. Nonexistent.

DLP has a couple of good ones. I can't remember the titles, but they are in the Work by Author subsection.
