Just a thought on how Diana might see things here...
"Bruce is getting what?" Diana of Themyscira, better known to the public as Wonder Woman, demanded as she stared at one of her few truly close friends in Patriach's World.
"Married, apparently," Clark Kent, also known as Superman replied with a shrug.
"But...Bruce? Really? How... no who. Who is this Tsuruko Aoyama, Kal?" Diana sputtered still in shock as she looked at her invitation as if it were about to attack her.
Clark smiled reassuringly as he responded, "She's an old friend of Bruce's from when he was still learning all he needed to learn to become Batman. They trained together extensively for a time before Bruce moved on to the next leg of his journey. He met up with her again while on business in Japan and things just... clicked."
"Things do not just "click" for the Batman, Kal. There must be some kind of ulterior motive here for one or the other," Diana insisted. Granted, Bruce held a place of esteem in her heart much like Kal-El himself did and she did not begrudge him any happiness, but it was nigh unto impossible to picture him settling down like this with someone.
"Well you have to admit that she's a step up from the likes of Catwoman or the Demon's Daughter," Clark responded with a chuckle.
Diana's face grew pensive as she conceded, "True enough. You are certain she is not a villain in disguise or trying to merely latch on to his wealth and power within Gotham?"
Clark put a reassuring hand on Diana's shoulder as he replied, "He acts like himself with her, Diana. Not the Fop or the Bat. Just Bruce. Trust me, it's real."
"Speaking of that, is she aware of Bruce's... night job?" Diana asked with a sidelong glance.
Clark smiled wryly as he replied, "They were still arguing over whether or not it was a good idea for her to join him and Dick on patrols the last I heard. So far the only reason she hasn't, I think, is a lack of a costume persona and the fact that a new hero showing up as the media is watching 'Bruce Wayne's mysterious fiancee' might raise a few red flags in the wrong circles."
"So he is really sharing everything with her, then. He trusts her," Diana mused. "Then this is truly a joyous thing to hear. I will have to visit Gotham to congratulate him personally," she concluded with a relieved smile.
Clark returned her grin with another of his own as he respodned, "I think you'll get along well with her."
