Plan B

Plan A is a wonderfully complex thing of beauty, perfect and sure to work. But thanks to incompetent minions, well meaning allies or dumb luck it's a no go. So what do you do? Move on to PLAN B.

Plan B might be the strategic application of force (more dakka), the direct approach (coming out and confessing your feelings), using simple distractions (look behind you, a three headed monkey!) or diving in without a plan.

This is a chance for great humor; mentions of Plan A and why it became unfeasible are a must, as is the fallout when Plan B goes through. Do note that as Plan B is the backup plan, things should always go wrong. It's up to you how hilariously/badly.

I have a quick question, for you. I'm not sure what the size of an army platoon is, but if I recall, officer ranks are the same in the AF as in the Army. So... Why is a lowly second lieutenant a platoon commander? Is he just in charge of them for the excercise? Because that would make sense, but if it's the equivalent of a squadron... Well, I'm very much green in the ways of the AF, but the handful of squadrons that I know the chain of command for have all had lieutenant COLONELs.

Well, pilots in the AF are all officers, I believe, so a squadron would be comprised of officers. Platoons have a about 40-50 enlisted.

Now, I think I may have messed up the rank structure with having only one officer per platoon, with about three or four platoons per company, that would mean that there would be over half a dozen officers in a company. From my review of such sources as Band of Brothers and Generation Kill, the are usually only three or four officers, and one company commander per company.
