What they did with SAO was stop translations when the announcement came(I think they finished Volume 12 though), only removing what was on the page this month. I'd expect them to do the same in regard to Index.

Well that sucks. Guess we won't be finding out what happen in the newest volume for a couple of years now...

JS06 will still be translating. It just wont be put up on BT.

If/when it comes down to it, I'll post links to the relevant places.

So Baka-Tsuki takes down all the novels and stops translating? Is that how this works? :ph43r:
Legal issues and stuff. The company will probably ask BT to take down the translations, which they will do because no one likes to get sued, which doesn't mean the translations won't exist in some shape in the internet. It'll just be one harder to find.

I'm just hoping it won't play out like Shakugan no Shana. SnS got licensed, and BT got a cease-and-desist letter for translating Shakugan no Shana. Then they only release two novels and sit on the license ever since.

No big loss.

I liked the writer's Valkyrie Goddess LN much more than I do his To Aru series. Damn shame that BT only has one volume of it.

... There isn't.

That is why I said it was a shame. Index is too big of a cow for the writer.

Heavy Object is also, IMO, better than the Index series. I like the characters in Index, but the setting is so asinine sometimes I just can't get into it.

So the situation for TAMNI on Baka-Tsuki right now is that they're removing the first four volumes, one per month, starting September. I have no idea if they're planning to continue translating the series, and NT10.

What does that even mean?
It means there is only one volume of Waltraute's Marriage because Kamachi, the author, has been focusing on Toaru Majutsu no Index.

Which isn't strictly true considering Kamachi has released 2 volumes of Heavy Object, 2 volumes of Intellectual Village and A Simple Monitoring since WM was released.

Admittedly, he's written 5 volumes of Index since as well.

So about half and half.

Which reminds me.

Kamachi is starting a new series.

I think I heard that it'd be a "traditional high school story", but I can't find the source for that at the moment.

Kamachi lies though, so whatever,

Hey is the Infinite Stratos LN worth a look at?

If you enjoy stupidly dense MCs, then yes.

Though admittedly, he is a bit better in the novels...

Dense MC's are a strike but does he develop competence in the novels? So much that the anime sucks in comparison?

I stopped after the first few volumes so I can't really be a judge for that...

Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou is complete and fully translated. Not that I had a clue what was going on by the end of it. -_-

Been reading the No Game No Life novels on BT. The ending of chapter 5's prologue...

Did theirs parents really just leave them? Or did Sora...

Come to think of it, would they really just give up on a genius and abandon Shiro?

Shiro was left by her mother in hands of pants on head retarded morons the moment she spoke and freaked her out, 3 years later she picked her up to bring her to the new man she met, and his son, and then their parents went to explore their "young" love and left them behind.

I don't even know if they married first before leaving them, but Sora decided and Shiro agreed that they would live on their own and used their talents to manage that.

I know that.

But still, prologue of novel 5 has Clammy show a memory of Sora that seems to indicate he killed before. So I cannot help but wonder..

Just finished read Mondaiji volume six, and I am seriously interested in Izayoi's ability now. "His Highness" says that he's "Another candidate for Origin", so I really want to know what that means. Although volume seven seems like it's going to be full of awesome once it's translated.

Is it just me or has Baka-Tsuki's update rate got a major boost over the last couple months?
