You should be saying the reverse, since 'Love Hina' is the older series; that Chizuru looks like Mutsumi. And, I think Mutsumi's design was based on characters Akamatsu drew earlier still.

Since I read Mahou Sensei Negima before i read Love Hina, I'm keeping the names in the same order. Even if Love Hina came first.
