Counter Review: Between Worlds
In my opinion, the writing isn't that bad. It does seem to move somewhat slowly.
He's there for a month before having a drunken bang with a pony, which is quick as hell, but you could also think he's sorta realizing his life as a pony is a damn sight better than his life as a human or a wizard, and even seems to start referring to himself mentally as Somber rather than his human name.
And his interest in returning to his home world seems to be barely mentioned, he actually seems more like he's trying to understand what the blue hell happened to bring him there.
I'm not saying it's the greatest thing, but it's definitely not the worst.
My rating: 6.25/10 It is what it is. Not bad, not great, but an alright story to read.
:Reason: While it has some interesting elements and ideas, it's pacing seems slow and, while not awful, the writing also isn't anything stellar. Characterization does seem somewhat off and, while most of the ponies are OC's, which means they can be however the writer wants them to be, in parts for Harry/Somber, it kinda stands out some.
