I'm against any new mods. Period.
Echoed. And Hawk isn't going to make any new ones anyway; thread over, everyone go home.
No. I don't care who it is but a mod is needed.

We may need one but we're never going to get another one so there's no point discussing it.

I figure the odds are on our side.. Sure Hawk most likely won't make another mod.. But I figure, some time in the future, he'll get drunk or something, log onto TFF see our complaining and figure (in his drunken haze) that making another mod would be a good idea..

This really isn't a democracy either.

If the lord of the lands wishes to satisfy the peasants, he will.

I'm not counting on anything. At least he hasn't been asking to sleep with our wives on the night of our nuptials. :ph43r:

Any mod needs to be able to do only these three things: Remove NSFW images from the non-Lemon forums, remove images that would get this forum and everyone on it jailtime and their name on a sex offender registry, and edit or delete threads or posts by trolls to either get them to cool off or step up their game.

Banning anyone should be Hawks' prerogative. Although temporarily taking away someone's ability to post would be fine, though I'm not sure Invision can do that.

I don't want mods at all. But we need some, or this crazy, fucked up, wonderland we all love and hate might just get shut down by someone looking to 'protect the children'.

I doubt that would happen. There are FAR worse threats out there than us.. And we're not exactly known outside of fanfiction circles..

I think what we need is someone with the ability to contact Hawk and have him listen. All we really need is for him to get rid of the serious trolls. You know, the ones who make fake accounts so they can make stupid threads.

The biggest issue is these people.

^ If we had a way to reliably contact him when things go absolutely batshit insane, Problems would be solved.

Does that mean we might accidentally summon <a href='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Vultan' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Prince</a> <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFnmT82yGpk' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Vultan</a>?

Seriously, seriously; anyone who gets made moderator will have to find it within themselves to step outside of arguments and present an unbiased view towards all parties. Something I consider impossible for anyone who regularly visits the Naruto section to do having already embroiled themselves within the relationship/conflicts established there. Except maybe Juopunumies who comes across, in my opinion, as more neutral than the Maybe Party of Switzerland.
Haha, I do try.

But yeah, a mod would be nice to quell the stupid stuff like what The Ero-Sennin and Ghostface are pulling in the Naruto Talk section at the moment.

UGH.

I'm a pretty big fan of free range; I mean, there aren't a lot of things I'd consider problems. I don't care about offtopic as long as its interesting. I'm not so sure that a mod would have to be an "outsider" as long as they could distinguish between "getting in arguments" and "being a mod". Because, mods shouldn't let power get to their heads, and the rest of the community shouldn't allow it.

But sometimes there's detrimental behavior (fukken spamming) that I really want punished.

The Naruto talk section has been having a problem with this the last week or so, first there was the troll-tards and now all these shitty shallow vs. threads, just people posting them without taking ownership, throwing them out there. They're graffiti.

EDIT: AAAAaaand it looks like that problem has solved itself? All's well that ends well I guess.
