Completely. If you think about it, if Hawk really wanted to select moderators from this site then he probably would have done it at some stage today or he would have at least been fairly active in this thread dedicated to the idea of home grown TFF mods.
However, since he has not, therefore we can probably assume that he will not. Ah well! The Hawk man has silently spoken his disapproval.

Both times because I have made reference to the slang most commonly used to describe male masturbation. Funny that.
I shall nominate me.
1 day, 3 day, and 1 week suspensions is the powers I'd want on that score. I'd kick the repeat offenders up to Hawk and let him decide on em.
The ability to edit posts(to remove NSFW crap from the non-lemon section of the forum, and police Rec threads), delete threads(troll threads), lock threads(flamewars, too big threads), and sticky them(Rec threads) would be helpful for when rule-breakers like Troll_Squad starts spamming troll threads.
I'm known to not like LR, but I'd treat him like anyone else. That means I'd hold everyone to the rules, and suspensions would be handed out for violations. Everyone would get a warning, the first time, no matter how long they've been here.

I have a problem with this. I have a problem with the nonsense hysteria around "big threads", namely that it's just nonsense hysteria. Unless invision software was coded by howler monkeys thread size won't have any effect on a forum unless it becomes ludicrously monstrous, and I do mean ludicrous, way, way beyond anything we've got right now.
But apart from that, maybe also the ability to rearrange sections, add them and remove them and what have you, but that might be biting off a bit too much. We have the basics covered for the most part anyway. The only things we've really been itching for are a Digimon and Games - Omniverse section, and LR has said he wanted a personal Rant forum along the lines of the GH, Israfel, Hawk sections.

Mods? Why? Sure a few things here and there could be improved, but to be honest, we've done good so far, so why change? I mean mods could help. Maybe. But Hawk isn't around enough to make sure whoever is appointed doesn't go mad with power or fuck everything up. The only thing I feel we need is some kind of safety-net encase shit goes wrong. Whether it be spam-bots, trollpocalypse, or something going wrong with Invisionfree itself, some kind of fall back board or something to be used. That's it really.
Oh and another just in case thing, some way to actually get Hawks attention is shit does hit the fan and cause a boardpocalypse would be nice. No clue how that could be done though.
All in all, we're probably the best example of some sort of social experiment that involves no real punishment, and that's pretty boss, so lets keep it that way. :sisi:

The problem isn't that there isn't someone. It's actually being able to point at someone and go "This guy."
People act differently when given responsibility like that. Sometimes it's not much, but other times it's drastically different. Like me. I'm always skirting the rules on a regular basis and tend to hold grudges given certain circumstances. But give me power and I become one of the strictest impartial people.
But there's no way to know that I would become that.
And because we haven't had any real control of the board, most people have been known to skirt rules and take sides. So appointing someone becomes a pretty arduous task if you're trying for a fair, impartial mod.

Though to be honest, I'd probably just make a few new forums for a few of the more popular topics and ban a couple of the more obnoxious troll (i.e. the troll person thats been around recently).
But of everyone else.. I'd nominate SotF..
But in the end, its up to Hawk. And if he does decide to make another mod, I hope he chooses wisely.. I like TFF too much to want to see it go up in smoke..
