I agree about the lack of them being great, however the problem is that we need someone for the more dodgey trollers if Hawk is unable to be here. TFF is a lot of work for one person to handle and its unreasonable to expect him to constantly be here to stop an evil troll from behaving like a complete dick head and landing us all in bother with the authorities.
On another point, my contribution above is in no way meant to be a self nomination. I definitely wouldn't be an ideal candidate because of
1) my short time on the site.
2) my tendency to rage on and sadistically flame shit fics for other's amusement as well as my own.
I just felt that those were points that needed to be considered when nominating users because the best mini mods we can get would be ones from the site. People who understand just how we work here.

I got banned because MageOhki is a bastard-child who I would love nothing more then to kick in the teeth if I ever met him IRL.
I can't be certain that him reporting me over the last shitstorm in the BvS section was what got me, but it's the only thing that makes sense. The fact that I got banned for it was a travesty, that section and furthermore, that game is a cancer and a blight upon the internet and I wish a pox upon thee.
Also that's horrific logic Shirotsume. I've always found that line of reasoning to be rock-stupid. People who apply for positions of power (Particularly the unrewarding position of an unpaid Forum Moderator) aren't necessarily out for bloody vengeance fueled rampages, and in fact I dare say those are a severe minority.

'Seriously' though, there are Christian Anarchists. We can have our worship of a distant shadowy figure of benevolence* and still retain the only form of government completely void of corruption and over-exersion of power by a single individual, elected or not.
* Confusingly represented by a Hawk which, as everyone knows, is associated with the bourgeoisie and their penchant towards falconry.
Seriously, seriously; anyone who gets made moderator will have to find it within themselves to step outside of arguments and present an unbiased view towards all parties. Something I consider impossible for anyone who regularly visits the Naruto section to do having already embroiled themselves within the relationship/conflicts established there. Except maybe Juopunumies who comes across, in my opinion, as more neutral than the Maybe Party of Switzerland.

As for me, I'm stating right here and now that I have no interest in being a mod, so not only am I not nominating myself, I urge everyone else to not even bother nominating me, assuming they are insane enough to do so anyway
Work and gaming leave too little time for me to do much more than daily check for new accounts to authorize and glance at new posts, and I am also an user, so I'd want to post myself rather than spend all that time modding new posts.
It'd be different if this was my forum, as I'd effectively be the admin, but as things are, I'm not interested.
Just an advance warning for anyone crazy enough to entertain ideas of nominating me.
