You know, at this point I kind of wish they'd just arbitrarily power up all the other characters and make up hax new jutsu for them. Because the sheer difference in scale between the Ultimate techniques of the protagonist and villain characters and everyone else is absolutely hilarious. Six Paths!Naruto fighting basically anyone but Rinnegan!Sasuke, Kaguya, Jinchuuriki!Obito and Madara is like having a death battle between Mr. Satan and Goku. And pretending that Mr. Satan's Dynamite Kick is as powerful as Goku's Super Saiyan God Kamehameha.

Either that, or maybe introduce tiers to the games. So pre-sage mode Naruto can fight any other character, Sage Mode Naruto can fight other S-rank characters like Akatsuki and the Kages, and Six Paths Naruto can only fight other god mode characters.

I hope not. Sarada is way a better character. Boruto is basically a clone of Naruto from an alternate dimension where he was raised as a spoiled rich kid. He's just as loud, annoying, attention-starved and stubborn as Naruto, except he doesn't have a tragic backstory as an ostracized orphan to justify his misbehaviour. On top of that, he's also arrogant, whiny, entitled, tsundere and has daddy issues. He's like the worst traits of both child!Sasuke and child!Naruto rolled into one character. He's a little shithead.

Salada isn't a vengeance-fuelled emotionally-stunted nitwit with severe tunnel vision, so comparing her to her father at the same age is kind of unfair. Most of the time, Fanfic authors turn Naruto into a "Sasuke-esque" archetype because they want to make him superficially "cool and badass," not due to them being actual fans of Sasuke or the Uchiha.


Then again, doesn't a large portion of this board think that the Naruto manga would have been improved immensely if Sasuke had been a girl and the primary love interest? For some reason people seem to find the idea of a female Sasuke far more tolerable than a male version, though I'm not really sure why.

I think H-Man was referring to Bolt, not Salada.
And Salada wasn't mind-raped by her lovely-dovey idolized big bro who also murdered all her family- it's incredible how that helps keeping a healthy psyche.

Part of it is sexism(Sasuke as a male isn't supposed to give in his emotions).
Part is that the homolust between Sasuke and Naruto is very palpable, which combines with the instinctual standardized sex=male+female resolves in everybody thinking they would have given in in their lust->resolving issues were them not both males.

Yeah, I was responding to Yorae Rasante's comment about how everyone wants the focus to be on the Uchiha of the team instead of the title character.

Since so many people do fanfics of Naruto basically being Sasuke instead of himself...

I wouldn't say Boruto is a Konohamaru clone, because he doesn't seem to feel entitled to anything Hokage wise, hell, he hates the office for robbing him of his Father's attention. That's really his driving motivation: to get his dad's attention, which is not exactly out of the blue behavior for a 12 year old. I get the feeling Naruto spent a lot of tie with his kids growing up, so suddenly beging gone all the time is wearing thin on them, and Boruto's acting out is his solution.

So he does pranks, cheats, etc, all to get recognition. Post movie, I think that will change to 'Be the sort of ninja my dad is proud of' as a nindo. I suppose we'll see once the manga starts up again. He seems to be more then willing to get Sarada take the hat in the future, instead positioning himself as her Shikamaru or Sasuke(well, the non murderous one).

I've yet to watch the movie, but I've read the novelization, where it's quite stressed how he suffered the fact his father is Ninja Jesus and his mother is the Hyuuga Heiress, so him being a super-genius is taken as a given.

Which combines with his father "suddenly" spending MUCH less time with him and Himawari once he became Hokage.

He wants to be acknowledged(ESPECIALLY by his father). His nindo is probably going to be "become a great ninja my own way" and his dream to be behind Salada(dat ass)
