Oh God, cross-dressing Negi again...
I'll take him in a cheerleader uniform over what the trio dressed him in any day.

Also, why the hell is chapter 29 out? WTF?

I can't help but think that there has to be a cache of translated chapters beyond what Onemanga has. Is there anywhere else that's running Neo?

Well, Ubel Blatt has a twenty chapter split, Hayate the Combat Butler has like a fifty+ chapter split, Special A had a twenty chapter or so split for a while, & I have seen numerous manga with a couple missing chapters for weeks at a time, so I think this is par the course. For whatever reason. Mostly likely due to not being power houses like Naruto, Bleach, or Mahou Sensei Negima. Perhaps an age thing?

And once again, a total lack of updates is irritating me. I don't really care if it takes a long time to update. I'm just asking for some consistency. If it takes you forty days to update, that's cool. But I would like an update every 35-45 days.

This inconsistency is killing me.

So is the series dead, or what? I've heard mystical rumors of legendary untranslated raws, but assuming that's even true, why is nobody translating them? Did the series peter off, or are no translating groups actively working on the series anymore?

ANSWERS DAMNIT. I NEED SOME. The suspense of not knowing is brutal. Even if it's a worse-case-scenario, and the series is over with, I'd at least like to know so I can have a sense of closure.

There's an definitely a large number of raws available, I've actually seen a few of them. Thing has several volumes published in Japan right now. Hell, that the Konoka and Setsuna chapter is so far ahead of the others is a pretty big clue. Scanslation groups dropped it however. I would have liked to have had that Mana chapter first, but not my call.

Any given reason for why it was dropped? For all the flaws in the plot (like the speed of story progression), it was still funny and entertaining. I can't imagine it just being up and dropped for no reason.

Hell, as. . . reluctant, as I might be, to use that particular skill, if worst comes to worse, I'll translate them myself. It would take ages, and I'd probably need help, but I could definitely do it.

Because overall Negima is better? The only group doing it disbanded? Hell if I know, there's a lot of reasons groups will drop crap. Since they do it on their own time it's not like it's something that they're literally obligated to do for us. You'd have to check with them to find out. Usually some other group will pick it up when such a thing happens, particularly if there's a demand, but it doesn't appear to be the case here.

Actually the series has been licensed by a certain company, can't remember the name but it has been licensed, I remember seeing it in a bookstore.

I'm not saying they're obliged, I'm asking if there's a known reason for it. "They didn't feel like it" is a reason. Apparently you don't know, though.

So no one is working on it now?

Del Rey of course, same group that does the regular Negima. They're incompetent though.

Hmm? I hear that, after the first few volume shenanigans, they actually got much better (According to the sources, this funnily enough coincided with the genre shift when the manga started getting awesome).

Seeing how no one seems to know anything, I'm just going to assume the answer is 'no.'
