Alright, on to the next issue, which is raising my Con Stats.

Need to raise the following stats by the following levels so i get the mastery bonus:

Artsinessá 1
Wrangling 2
Rocking 3
Silence 2
Macking 2
Chillaxing 1

What panels/methods are the best way to raise those?á I'm especially interested in Rocking, since I don't think I've seen it.

Especially interested in raising Artsiness since it gives me about 500 extra points
if you already have the other rave skills you didn't list at or above 4 that's more than enough to have a decent shot at 5000 points for the trophy
Besides, Dance is the easiest to level, just grind glowslinging a couple of days and you can easily raise it a couple of levels

Does anyone understand the Billy TV game? I'm a little confused about it. I know we have to allocate awesome, but I'm a little rough on how that correlates to passing the challenges

<s>The part that's unclear/missing in the instructions is that only the highest ranged rolls count.

If you use a 1d4, 2d6, and a 1d20 (too lazy to look up the names) only the 1d20 will count toward the challenge.</s>

Never mind, looks like it was bugged.

That'd be Wildkat Village by the way. No idea why we're at war. Kinda wanna melt them down just for making me dredge up all the info on how to fight a war that was buried in the back of my brain.

I guess Pirates is in this too?

So...shall we begin face-melting?

Seems one of the Vice-Kages of Kitsune decided to be a fail and set his village up the bomb.

Well, I've just started playing this game after... more than four years of absence? Likely more?

In any case, I just started playing it again a few days ago. Joined some random village, and am now looking for tips/suggestions.

At the moment I'm Special Jounin with some low-tier equipment from the Shop or the Arena, most D- and C-Rank allies, and my Reaper sword.

What I'm curious about is two addition to the game; the BillyCon, and RoboFighto.

As far as I'm able to tell, both seem to have little connection with the rest of the game. At the con you might be able to buy some item or another used in the main game, and for the RoboFighto, the main game provides stamina and money for training and participating in tournaments.

So, is there any point to them?

Robo Fighto has little to no connection with the main game itself. The Flux Capacitor may be needed for future content, as it can be "Charged" in r00t fields. Outside of that, just an extra shiny in the Tiny Bee 2.0

BillyCon actually DOES have a point to it (Besides the Trophies). Glowslinging is eventually unlocked in BillyCon, and more plot points are revealed. Several Glowslinging and BillyCon tasks are needed to begin Hero's Quest (currently the high-end of content).

As a beginner though, just take the freebie Con every month and go through things at your own pace. If you want to get a leg up though:

-Level up Cosplay, Posing, and to a lesser extent Combat Sewing if you want to try the Cosplay contest. Getting Cosplay pieces is good too.
-The Videogame tourney requires a better Videogame skill, as well as spending some time Wandering beforehand in order to try and find Cheese.
-Don't bother with the Rave at first. The wiki lists different skills the Rave requires, go level those when deciding which panels to go to.
-Don't mess with Billy Idol for a LONG time. It won't do anything for you except give you some Sleep and disable your Themes.
-If you can buy +Panel XP Things like Giant Foam Hand or Nice Boat, do so. You'll need to buy Cosplay parts too.
-Work on getting the Backstage Pass (from the Convention Wrap-Up panel at the end of the Con).

You won't be able to do very many of these at the same Con. If you work on trying to get money, you may have to skip Main Events, and so on.

Well, most of the advice regarding the Con-stats doesn't tell me much, since I only did it once, without having any real clue what the hell I was doing. ;)

Though; do Con-stats reset upon looping, or do they, like the new (for me, anyway) "Dou"-stat remain as they are?

You're Season 1-3, right?

RoboFigtho you can ignore completely for now, you'll need to use your Stamina and cash on missions. Take a look at it again around Season 7 or higher, once you've past the general content for the prior Seasons, and can spare 20 stamina or ~20K Ryo worth of missions out of a much larger daily pool.

BillyCon, you can afford to just mess around in. Eventually, it'll be relevant, but not for a while if you're building up a character from scratch.

Like jwolf0 said, take the free monthly Con. But instead of trying to strategize, or optimize, feel free to just mess around. Spend Con money, attend random panels, don't worry too much about it.

Eventually, you'll need a few levels in every BillyCon stat to pass useful content, but by the time you actually need it, you'll have enough Awesome to get Awesome Abilities that will allow you to power grind, and more to the point, succeed in basic Panels without the relevant skills.

Until then, whatever random XP you accumulate will be a useful start when you eventually have to focus on it.

tl;dr: Skip RoboFighto until later, just randomly do whatever in BillyCon 'cause even ignorant flailing will net useful-later stuff at effectively no cost.

Also, feel free to head to TFF II instead of some random village. We've got all the upgrades so you'll have more resources to play around with, we've got a decent Storehouse to give you an edge on the fetch-quests, and we're by and large helpful folk, not just me, so any other questions will get decent answers.

EDIT: Oh, and Con-stats stay, even when you loop.

So with TFF Zero in the midst of collapse, I'm thinking of trying to bribe people into joining the village. Mainly, paying off a less developed village with monster drops to migrate to TFF Zero.

This could easily backfire, but I think it's worth a shot, given that the village in nearly in the single digits...

Thanks for the help. I think I'll switch over to either your village or zerohour's, though from the looks of it zero needs villagers more urgently. How long do I have to wait to join a new village after leaving my old one?

Either immeadiately or after a dayroll, according to the wiki.

Been a long time since I've left, so I can't tell you how accurate it it.

Feel free to hit TFF Zero first, kelenas. I don't want to see a fellow TFF village go down.

But if your village does collapse, zerohour, you know the rest of us who are still in play will take you all in.

Well, I just switched villages to TFF Zero, though I unfortunately already spent my stamina for the day.
Though I do have some potions left I could down for a boost. Is there anything specific you'd have me do (Collection, Repairs, Patrol, whatever), zerohour?

Edit: Well, I went with "Paperwork" for now. Hope that's alright?

I have an alt that has almost unlocked all the Vertices needed to start Hero's Quest. The only thing I am missing is Nuking the Gas Station, but my Kage hasn't played for a couple of weeks so no Zombja Map.

Any village willing to take me in for a week or two (and allow me to Nuke) in order to finish up? I will bring a goodly amount of contracts with me - I should be able to bring at least 500 Major Contracts if you give me a week or so.

TFF II is currently engaged in a Zombja map. Pretty sure you can only participate in a map that starts after you join the village, but if you don't mind waiting a bit, you're welcome to join us as long as you need to. We run a new map usually within 5-8 days of completing a previous one.

jwolf0

Yeah, I'd have to be there when the map started. No matter, I'd need some time to build up Contracts for you anyways. 5-8 days is good, thanks.

Pirates is starting a map tomorrow, unfortunately, we're in a war and thus can't take new villagers for...3 more days.

Quick question ergarding pets;

1. do I have to manually buy the first pet, or do I get one for free?
2. when/if I have multiple pets, can I switch between them freely, or are any costs associated with it?

You manually buy your first pet.

My characters only have one pet each, so I haven't found out how often/at what cost you can switch between pets.

You can switch between pets freely, but only your active pet gets fed at Dayroll. Likewise, you get whatever perk your pet gives at Dayroll only.
