So after seeing it in a fanfic, I'm curious about what could be done with it: What if instead of Naruto just being another Wood Release user, he was the reincarnation of Senju Hashirama?

So now we know that both Naruto and Hashirama are chakra reincarnations of Asura, so why the hell Naruto was born without Mokuton if their chakras are the same?

Naruto and Hashirama don't share the same chakra, they've just both had Ashura's chakra exist within them. No-one but Hashirama has been born with the Mokuton as far as we know, including Ashura, so it appears to be something unique to him for reasons unknown.

Basically, Hashirama is Mokuton+Ashura's chakra powering him up.
