I was reading the manga again, and when I reached chapter 107 (the fight between Shikamaru and Temari), I found a problem for the fic. I wanted to keep Naruto as the last of his class so I could keep the teams as they are, but Asuma says this about Shikamaru:

"He always claimed it was too much hassle to even move the pencil for the
academy writen exams...
It seems that he would always sleep through his tests..."

If Naruto were even just a bit better in the academy, and with more training and a little guidance he would be, Shikamaru would be last of the class, and placed on the same team as Sasuke.

What to do: change all the teams or just teams 7 and 10? And keep Sakura with Sasuke or not?

I wish I spent writing half the time I spent thinking about the fic.

I think I only touched it thrice, and I'm yet to finish the first scene. After that maybe things will go faster. I just hope the chapters don't turn into monsters, the firts scene is not even done and it's at 1200 words already.

Hey monster chapters aren't too bad, think of some of the other fics trhat have monster chapters, such as "Foxhound" and "A Demon's Artifact/Meridians/Every Demon Bleeds Black" (whatever title you want to call it), those both have monster chapters and are very popular, who knows, this one might be like those as well. ;)

I like fics with monster chapters, but if mine has them, and at the rate I write, it would be six or seven months between chapters.

I like "Foxhound", and can't wait for Kraken's new fics.
I also used to read "Ascension of the Lamb" and "Children of an Elder God" (both Eva). Both had monster chapters.
