At any rate, the only logical pairing for this Naruto would be Tenten. Both are driven to become better so they can stand up to their overly talented teammate, despite being very good already. Common goals go a long way in these things.

Meh, the logical pairing could be twisted to pretty much anyone, there's something in our Naruto's personality that you could use to justify him being with any of the girls, really it's all up to the author and which way he wants to twist it. Really, as said before, I'd prefer no pairing, but if really feel the need to then, go ahead, I guess.

I'm referring to the only logical pairing for this particular, jutsu-obsessed Naruto. Either Tenten or Anko, anyway, though I'm not sure if someone who is obsessed like her former sensei would sit well with her.

Last I checked, Anko positively DESPISES Oro. Anyone who reminds her of him is only going to suffer very unpleasant consequences.

Yah she does now but back in the day she admired him pretty heavily I think if I remember correctly and she could possibly see this Naruto as another chance for her to have 'him' and keep him from taking the same path as Orochimaru. I don't know maybe it only makes sense to me but I could rationalize it.

Okay I'll give you a quick test, tell me the answer to this "A lonely woman goes to a funeral and there she meets the man of her dreams and falls in love with him on the spot but after the funeral she realizes she didn't get his number or even his name and has no idea of how to find him, so upon returning home she kills her sister, why?" Answer this and then I'll explain what I mean to you.

Good answer, but not the correct one, this test is known as the 'psycho' or 'insane' test or whatever you want to call it and basically if you can answer it correctly it means that you think the same an insane person does, and the answer is that she met the guy at a funeral so, in her mind, if she goes to another funeral she might meet him again,thus she kills her sister to go to another funeral, screwed up but that's the how a psycho's mind works. And see that is why I can justify Anko liking Naruto for that, becuase I think screwed up like that. Or you could always heave her fall for him before she realized how much like Orochimaru he was and then have a bunch of emotional turmoil over her being in love with him and yet her knowing that he's exactly like Orochimaru, so that's a possibility if you want Teh Angst!

The problem is that Anko is more of a sadist than she is insane. I don't think the 'insane' mold fits her.

Eh, what is an author but a creator of worlds, a weaver of fate, a bender of wills, and the Id and the Ego of his characters, all characters that any author writes are a reflection of some piece of themselves therefore it is impossible to write without inserting a small piece of yourself into your characters.

That's an original author. Fanfiction authors a bit different, no? You try to avoid having the characters going OOC, and don't have much of the freedoms of an original author (like... how most of them can get away with creating Mary-Sues and not get lynched).

Hey, can I get some feedback on my Naruto-x-y fic? It's a cross with two other series, and while neither of them are explicitly named (yet), it should be pretty easy to guess both from the newest chapter, which went up last night.

Mature Content Warning: No sex, but there is some swearing and in the newest chapter you see two people die in gruesome ways.

Not that I'm complaining about my own thread being hijacked. It's actually nice to see it alive before I even finish the prologue. BTW, it should be done before Christmas.

I just use the 'recently posted in topics' list thing to go to the topics so I didn't notice, so yah you should definitely either move it or have it moved to the previews section. And I am reading it right now so I'll give my opinion in a few minutes if you can just wait a bit.
