That Sanji's heart would be crushed - it doesn't get any clearer than the last chapter. He's in for a world of pain. But ... knowing him ... I wonder if Pudding will fall for him later? A remote possibility.

On the other hand, it's been too long since we saw Jinbei! I'd forgotten about him. Still, what I DO remember, is that he asked Big Mom to leave her crew and she spun some wheel to see what he'd give in exchange. I wonder what it was?

An interesting and devilish theory. Also, a bit too dark for the One Piece world, IMO. The reverse however, might be more plausible - Lola's memories were tampered. She left not realizing what she did.

Something just occured to me - do we know how exactly Pudding's power works? I get the bit that she can change, possibly delete certain memories, but are there limits? If no, that's a HUGE game-breaker right there!

Hmmm.. my theory on limits to her power - she can alter a memory by replacing people who were present. i.e. if an actual event had Luffy, Sanji and Zorro present. She could rewrite the memory so that it appears that Luffy, Nami and Zorro was present. (Hope that makes sense!)

THIS. I got a bit distracted with Sanji's situation, but Brook is really Bad Ass. If I remember correctly, in addition to being a magician, he was also a swordsman. With Zorro not being in the current Arc, we should see some really interesting moves!

Does show that Big Mom trusts her enough to meet her privately, but ... besides potential opportunity, it does not suggest that Pudding manipulated Big Mom's memories.

That. Knowing what we know of her character, this is almost assuredly her about to go and manipulate Big Mom into killing the people she was willing to catch and release, or some such. Either way, the fact shes lying to Big Mom about her ability means something is afoot

Are you talking about her ability to rewrite memories? I get the feeling that Big Mom knows about it and possibly high ranking members of her crew.

Perhaps her 3rd eye has some other potential power?

I wonder if this chapter is to indicate that Brooke is key to beating Linlin. Big Mom is savage though. The way she described killing the Vinsmokes was mafia like. She really is a sadist, the way she gives false hope to people only to take it away at the end. Nice to see Sanji looking determined to meet back up with Luffy now.

All in all, another setup chapter but a solid chapter.

Luffy continues to impress me - especially how he could just see what Sanji was really feeling. I wonder if that is some kind of ability? Voice of all things?

Something I did not expect was Sanji wanting to save his family. I'm not sure if I expected them to just die, but the way power levels have been suggested, the Vinsmokes should be at par with Big Mom - even if surprised, not an easy fight to win.

Overall plot-wise, I'm wonder where Lola (from Thriller bark) will fit in with all this? Since we are talking about Big Mom, there HAS to be a reference to her coming up, but I don't see it. The Pudding erased/modified Big Mom's memory is something I agree with, but how it is going to explode is what I don't see.

Looking forward to what Oda has up next!

Did anyone else mistake the cover picture to be Robin? Did a double-take before I figured out it was someone else...

Now here's something I've felt but got final confirmation with this chapter. For all his goofiness, when Luffy praises his crew, they really like it. Especially since they know he isn't saying it only to make them feel good. Go Luffy!

Trafalguar was one thing - for all their differences, he innately seemed like a nice guy. But the gang-boss? I was expecting Luffy to turn down the offer. It would be more like him to just blindly smash ahead.

In fact, I'll bet that's what he's going to do. Listen to Bege, decide not to get in either one's way and cause his usual mayhem.
