I like to think that there's something we missed, but can't refute your statement. But .. why did this have to happen? It's kind-of looking like dragonball Z now. If a new enemy comes along, invent some crazy/new attack to defeat them, but this won't work on the next bunch. I like one piece because that didn't happen - at least with Luffy. Much as Zorro is a favourite character of mine, I don't really see his attacks as 'unique'. It's one style or the other with him.

This. The way things are headed, Luffy would probably get Big Mom and Sanji will go after his Dad. Which makes me wonder if he was holding back the last time? i.e. his Dad DID beat him. But beyond that, I don't think he's gone all-out.
If the stuff in the last panel are clones - that's kind of impressive. It means that the Grema-66 had them for years. Wonder if it's a Devil fruit or some other ability?

Sanji's Dad is a mad scientist, Sanji was likely born in a tube, and a mother of a family smackdown is comin'
Also, it took me a bit to think of this...Is Luffy honestly having trouble beating a guy whose weapon is food? How long until Luffy starts to just eat Cracker's crackers? Or maybe just soften them with the triumphant return of Mizu-Luffy

Didn't expect Sanji's Dad to be a scientist. But with the imprisionment, I can understand why he hates his family. One that that struck me as a bit odd - when they were younger, it seems that his sister cared for him. Or at least, did not taunt him as much.

She still cares about Sanji, it's just that, to her, the lifestyle she lives is directly in proportion of how useful she is to her father...and not being a target of being messed around with by her other brothers. Because since Sanji ended up being the "normal" of the lot, and as time went on daddy Vinsmoke realized that Sanji was forever stuck as normal human being (which is apparently un-f***ing-acceptable, since he took great pains to ensure that his progeny was genetically superior to everyone else), he decided that he was never going to amount to anything.
His kids picked up on that, and once it became evident that they could do whatever the hell they wanted to Sanji and get away with it, they decided to milk it for all its worth. Reiju decides to not fight it, and joins in the fun of making fun of Sanji, though she doesn't go to the physical abuse like her brothers did, and even help Sanji occasionally, but she was never going to do anything supportive to Sanji in public less she joins him in the mud.
That does raise a question in my mind. *Is* Sanji now the weakest member of the Vinsmoke dynasty? We didn't see the beatdown take place, but apparently Sanji did rearrange Yonji's face something fierce, and Sanji had no problem kicking Ichi's face in when given a proper motivation.
I honestly think the only reason Sanji hasn't already crushed his brothers and his father is because they're basically holding Baratie restaurant and his hands as a hostage, not to mention all those clones who are being used as literal human shield.
