Oh. So he actually kept that one.
I didn't even notice until you mentioned it. ^_^

Just Oda being good at keeping continuity.

New chapter came out (Chapter 321). It turns out that the marks on the back of the three of them were indeed brands. Half way through the chapter, I was thinking to myself, "Luffy's gonna score tonight!" only to be disappointed. Though from the last page of the chapter, all is not lost. Hehehehe can't wait for the next chapter.

Looks like he's scored a new Nakama, or at least a new ally, hmm?

I find it odd actually. He was freaking blown away by Nami's Happiness Punch.

Speaking of which... I would love to see Sanji's reaction when Luffy retells what happened to him.

He saw one dude. Unless you feel like counting the sister when she was in snake form, and even then he didn't really see it. Pretty much everything happened when he was unconcious.

Well, I think that would be more than Sanji ever saw and a hot one to boot, acknowledged to be the most beautiful (so far). If it wasn't for Luffy's 'Super Armor of ObliviousnessÖ' he would be stone right now.

He frankly should be, given something similar has happened before, and it actually worked on him.

Ah but with Admiral Aokiji, he was frozen due to external factors. From what I've gathered, Hebihime's Mero Mero Beam works on the basis that if you feel touched by her beauty or feel excited by it, you get turned to stone. Due to Luffy's obliviousness, he doesn't feel anything when he sees her so he doesn't turn to stone.

I forgot about him. Yeah maybe the trigger for that is different. Maybe it has something to do about passion? I dunno. But I do know that Mero Mero Merrow needs a wicked heart aroused by desire to work as evidenced by OP c516 pg15 and 16 and OP c518 pg05. Heh who wants to bet that Hancock would now gun for Luffy's heart? I'm actually hoping for Albeda/Luff/Hancock threesome. :)

Er no. I'm saying Luffy has been shown to be affected by nudity before. In a bath no less. Nami's infamous 'Happiness Punch'. He's been shown not to be oblivious in the ways of women. There was also Mr. 2's bit... but... :ph43r:

Yes but he wasn't running from a bunch of people who were trying to kill him with arrows that blew rock apart in the picture. Nor was he worried about the rest of his Nakama.

Luffy probably wasn't affected by Hebi's beuaty because he had more important things to think about.

Oh and happiness punch is and always will be awesome.

I've forgotten about that! Wow! It was so long ago that I've forgot. So that means that Luffy either has feelings for Nami thus affected or he had other things to think about. That or he doesn't find Hancock appealing.

But if he is not as oblivious as I thought, that would make his response when he saw Hancock naked weird. Cause if it was me, and I have a healthy appetite, the first thought that comes to mind when a girl gets naked infront of me is 'Am I going to get lucky?!!' and then depending on the woman/girl, the next thought could be 'Am I gonna die?!!'.

Er, meant less that one, and more this one.

It's possible Luffy was just seeing what the other guys were doing. That happiness punch thing would work on anyone; I mean, wasn't it just asking to be paid for the view?

Though admittedly I really think the Luffy/Nami pairing is the most likely, and a rather good one at that.

I rather random and stupid thought is that it may be that Luffy has a one-track mind and if Nami=potential lover, there is no opening for a second person.

This is probably late lol, But i just read the lastest Chap. That was awesome. And i haven't really thought about it before but.... A KING needs a QUEEN. And i'm pretty sure Nami is not that... Might be wrong though. (I think in the anime she calls sanji with a 'Kun'
Sooner or later, they need to introduce a potential love intrest for Luffy. Seeing as how after 500+ there has been little to no signs of one...

Actually the part of One Piece that makes it better in that regard is that they simply don't do the whole love interest thing, save Sanji who just likes women in general. To suddenly add it out of nowhere would kind of derail the thing a bit. Kinda like how the ChiChi thing came out of nowhere in DB, though this time with less forshadowing.

Looking for romance among the strawhat crew is kinda pulling at things that aren't there, even if we go with Sanji. Neither of the two show any interest in the guy, save for when they want to manipulate him.

True, true. Trying to weave a love relationship into the story could potentially ruin it. Not to say that I wouldn't want to see one happen, it's just that more needs to be done before the prospect of one could enter the equation.
