I propelled a hailstorm of burning knives at strongest of the three Darksides, it was sitting in the black water of this bizarre beach we had been dropped in after that crazy fight with Chernabog.

One of the other two Darksides had shredded Squalls tank, and was trying to pry him out, Kenny was blasting it from behind one of the weird black stone trees, Lance was on it's back in between it's wings trying to fight past it's tentacles so he could start stabbing it in the head with his spear, Nicholas was trying to get it off the tank, there was someone I barely recognized as Twinblade, the only one of us yet to give an actual name, trying to help him.

The other one was looking really pissed, Chris was keeping it in place while Kurt David and Rooster (The other David) shot the hell out of it, their bullet's weren't doing much though, I think Phil was trying to making some grenade things over there, it's really dark here, so it's hard to tell.

Andrew was trying to get out of the water after having been knocked in their by the Darkside the Tank Gang was fighting, but the three Darksides had so far managed to make a fucking swarm of regular Shadows, and they were swarming him for some reason.

Darksides are much faster then in the game, to our great consternation.

Especially the super strong one, Lance's scan had revealed near the start that the one in the water right now was level 100, the other two were level 10.

Yeah, no idea why I'm attempting to fighting it alone, stupid co-leader responsibility bullshit.

But then... When it comes to Fight-like-Cockroach-fu, I'm the best we got.

It claws at me, my G-Shield blocks it, it grabs at me, an Elecbang wards it away, it tries to crush me under it's heel, Falvern spears through it's foot.

It throws balls of pure darkness at me, and my G-Shield bounces them back, it makes balls of hellfire fall from the sky like giant snowflakes, and I dodge them, it sends Shadows to hunt me down, and I evade and slash until they fall.

All I need do is survive and hold you here while the others finish up, I can do that, I can handle that, I can do this, for once in my life I can do something without fucking it up, just once, I can do what I need to do.

I hear the loud, now familiar sound of an M-16 from a bit behind me, I saw the trails of light the bullets left as they nailed the Darkside I was 'fighting' in the face, it seemed unfazed, Kurt's 'team' were done with theirs, there was a crack of lightning and the sound of crackling flame as a burst of spells followed up the bullets, the tank gang was done with theirs to.

I saw Chris sail over me, jumping REALLY high, like he always did in that form, and started beating it in the face, this was made easier by the pickax chain that wound around it's neck, making it stumble back slightly.

I turn to the guys, I'm a tad out of breath, I smile at them.

"What took you guys so freaking LO-" Chris goes sailing over us slamming into one of the obsidian trees and shattering it, he's a way's away now.

Cold.

I notice the black pillar sticking out of my chest, surrounding the part where it connects to my chest is a weird swirl of black and purple, everything's cold and blurry all of a sudden, my chest feels really weird.

On the pointy tip of that pillar, which I now barely recognize as a finger, is a crystalline heart, made of pink light.

I vaguely feel the sensation of being lifted, I starting passing through the finger, turning oddly as I fell through it, with one last burst of cognitive thought, I impale it's hand straight through with Falvern, and triple it's size, but my numb hands can't keep hold of it, and I slip off and start falling.

As my world fades, I think I here something, but I can't think very good anymore, as I fall, I notice the hand, my right hand, the hand I held Falvern with, is dissolving into nothing.

I can't feel anything anymore.

All I see, as I fall in slow motion, was the black, almost starless sky.

Then a flash.

And D-

Hmm..Good point, Shaderic..
On the Riku bit: It's not much as no canon knowledge as knowing that Maleficent is NOT someone to trust. Good point about her kicking our asses, though this may make Riku begin to think trsuting Maleficent is not a good idea...

I'll clarify a bit more:
On Ansem's research: The fact that it was canceled, and then resumed, shows that something is up...That bothers Tempo..Why would he stop the research, and then just start it up again? The bit about the Ansem Reports is a good idea, though...
The Legend of the Keyblade: This would involve finding things like the history of the Keyblade Wars, and maybe learn more about Birth By Sleep's events, maybe even finding the Xehanort Reports(the reports from Master Xehanort that reveal his past and intentions.) It could be remarked that these reports show similarites to some of the Ansem Reports...

EDIT: I posted my talk with Merlin...He mentions meeting Apprentice Xehanort, thugh he only remembers the first four letters of the latter's name, and I also recieved parts of Ansem's Report(the parts gained after sealing Hollow Bastion's keyhole in the game.)

Why the fuck are the Shadows targeting me?!

The Darkside attacking Squall's tank had knocked me into the god damn water. Then all the Darksides friggin summons a god damn swarm of shadow! It's shit like this that fuels my hate of beaches, public pools and other aquatic recreation centres.

I struggled to get out of the water but the shadows were making it extremely hard for me. I couldn't risk using my spark shots, let alone my Life Sparker, they were needed for a last resort. Fighting in the water was tough. The water impended my movements. making it hard for me to hit the shadows.

If I had been fighting soldiers, I would be doomed or de-hearted or whatever those heartless do to people by now.

At least, I was hindering that Darkside with Spikier though. That should give the others a big enough opening to attack.

As I bisected a shadow at its waist, the worst possible thing had happened. On the beach, Aarik stood there looking vaguely at the black claws that had impaled him.

In horror I stared as Aarik was lifted into the air, his heart and body fading away.

Aarik has fallen

A member of our group is gone

A heart has been lost.

Can we win?!

Are we going to lose?!

ARE WE GOING TO DISAPPEAR

A red mist started to overlay my vision but instead of resisting it, I embraced it.

Also, just to clarify, the Darkside threw Chris off and jammed it's hand through my back, it's hand is just so big only one finger actually hit and went through.

That was supposed to be endgame, we've all leveled up, we've all been buds for months, we've all been talking and working together that whole time.

Fighting together, alongside one another, and, in keeping with an agreement that was already made but isn't set up in game yet, I was co-leader with Shaderic.

I already pretty much know all that in game, I just don't view any of it as important enough to bother passing around.

Except the Report Data, I don't have any of the report's themselves, but I do have some of the data files on the earliest experiment's, I've mentioned this.

Oh...I'd just be stating what I'd found, and Aarik'd add his two cents. Also, my mentioning what Merlin could remember of Apprentice Xehanort's name(the first four letters) could make Aarik rememebr something he might've read from the early expriment reports, something stated in the first three Secret Ansem Report from KH2(posted here):

I have made a grave mistake. My study of the "darkness of the heart" began with a simple psychological test and quickly snowballed.
Spurred on by my youngest apprentice, Ienzo, I constructed a massive laboratory in the basement of my castle.
Unbeknownst to me, my six apprentices then began collecting a large number of subjects on which to perform dangerous experiments into the "darkness of the heart." As soon as I found out, I called my apprentices together and ordered them not only to cease their studies, but to destroy the results of their research thus far.
What on earth was happening within the hearts of my six beloved apprentices? While pursuing the mystery of the darkness of the heart, could they themselves have strayed into its depths?
Yet I remain the most foolish of all, for having begun these experiments.
We are not meant to interfere in the depths of another's heart, no matter what our reasons for doing so...
And my error plunged me into despair.
A visitor from another world soothed my dejected soul.
A tiny king named Mickey came wielding a legendary key ù the infamous "Keyblade," said to bring both chaos and prosperity to the world.
He was very knowledgeable on many topics, and we deepened our friendship as we conversed companionably.
Upon his advice, I decided to review the data obtained at my basement lab.
That is when I discovered the "Ansem Reports."
Though they bore my name, the only one I had written was number 0.
Apparently he had gone on to pen numbers 1 through 8 himself.

Chaos affect not only this world, but many other worlds besides.
In the "Ansem Reports" my apprentice Xehanort had written under my name, I found the records of his hideous experiments along with his hypothesis about the door that had appeared out of the darkness in my basement.
All living things have hearts, and all hearts hold darkness deep within.
Worlds are no exception. If a world is a being, the heart it holds must be colossal...
...and the darkness at its core must be monstrous indeed.
Did Xehanort pass through that door in an attempt to contact that dark realm?
No, not only Xehanort.
It appears my other five apprentices, believing it was for the sake of research, stared deep into the darkness and were pulled into it.
Even, Ienzo, Braig, Dilan, and Aeleus...
They have ceased to be human.
I, too, have had everything taken away from me, banished to a hollow realm of nothingness.
What is Xehanort hoping to gain with my pilfered existence?
Will my people cease to smile?
If the light of hope has been extinguished, I shall henceforth walk with darkness as a friend.
Here, in the realm of nothingness to which I have been relegated.
Darkness in the midst of nothing.
"Darkness in Zero."
Thus, I shall be known as DiZ.
Discarding the stolen name "Ansem"...
And going in search of revenge.

My reaction to Aarik's death... would be something along the lines of: No. No way. It can't... not again. Not again...

Followed up by a rapid sinking into EXTREME depression. I might just freeze up and die. Maybe...

Now then, pertaining to the 'reports', I'm thinking that ... we don't find any. We might get our hands on pictures of Ansem, or something, but the actual Reports? Those are Sora's lootings. Which is not to say he won't pass on the info, but for now... Ansem's going to be our scapegoat, up until we secure access to HB. Given the evidence we've got, the conclusion that Ansem's behind this is going to seem pretty clear.

Right up until we get into the library. But that's still aways down the line.

EDIT: Did the edit..Removed the Reports I'd posted. However, I'd suggest during the meeting that the apprentices should also be investigated, in case Ansem ISN'T the one responsible...Best to learn as much as possible.

Actually, I don't know if I'd have let you fight the Super Darkside by yourself. Either by fighting as well or delaying it myself, I'll fully consider myself point man/tank by then. Though I did find music for it.

It wasn't so much a choice as that Darkside bee-lined straight for you.

Remember? The one that's been chasing you, along with another at it's level, came along with the endgame boss as reinforcements, and that one went straight for you.

Technically, I wasn't supposed to be fighting it either, but you can't really control what the Darksides do, and they split us into two groups, then the big one went for the straggler.

How would I react to Aarik dying? I really don't know. I'd guess after I figure out Aarik's down I'd try and go through the usual medic things. Use whatever cure spell I knew by that time and when it fails use Scan (I'm planning on it having it be part diagnostic, or something similar) to confirm his death, and then try and get the body out of there for proper burial.

I would swear to find Aarik's Heartles and Nobody(if we know about Nobodies), and smash them, so Aarik'd be restored.

Also, remember, SORA has to do the killing, well, the Heartless at least, and it has to die first, Release the Heartless with a Keyblade, then kill the Nobody, if the Nobody dies first, you're fucked.
