Ranma ½ Rosario + Ranma

So aside from the weird spider stuff what will be getting a new chapter at the end of the month?
Yeah, I'm preparing a chapter of Guardian to publish now, and I'll put it up along with the two omake BHoC bits.

If people keep bringing it up I won't be able to keep my unspoken "don't mock Guardian" promise. Black Dragon seems like a weakl guy. i don't think he could take it.

Are you kidding?
I embrace criticism like it was my brother!
But without all the fighting over the top bunk.
Go on, try me. This thread has been on-topic for an abnormally long time anyway.

I never understood fighting over the top bunk. I prefer the bottom bunk, much easier to get into and out of.

I could never get all the way through Guardian, it was amusing enough, but there's a whole chunk of chapters with no formatting at all that make my eyes bleed when I try to read them.

Except all beds are like the bottom bunk. The top one is different.
Plus, you don't have someone sleeping directly above you.
But yes, the bottom bunk would be better.

Top bunk is best.
Not only do I feel more secure sleeping higher off the ground (not sure why, given the possibility of rolling out and killing myself), but I could throw things down at my brother and step on him while getting out of bed.
I was THAT kind of big brother.
Good times.

Never had a sibling who couldn't hold their bladder, eh?

This. I like Guardian's idea well enough, but the start is a little rocky at times and the formatting is a massive pain in the ass.

Ha ha!
You think I would have fixed such a simple problem by now!
Ha ha ha!

Nope. Quite ironic, considering how I now manually code all the current chapters I release.

I loved the spider chapter, especially this part for some reason.
Yet Master tolerates their immature ambitions, within limits. Many times He has had to discipline a false god that got too greedy and challenged Him.
His discipline of the bloody-smelling silver-haired one was particularly fun. She learned her place well enough.
And seriously, how far will the spider's mentally grow from Ranma's weird energies?

The formatting in Guardian never bothered me, though there is a notable difference in chapters 15-24 compared to the rest of the story. But after 24 it's fine again. So all you Guardian naysayers should check it out.

Yeah, it was wierd. Way back when, I'd upload a chapter, and ff.net would automatically double-space the paragraph breaks.
Then, for some reason, it stopped, so I just used the same formatting I did on my website, which was single-spaced (still don't understand why it's a problem. I can read it just fine). Then, after the ENDLESS whining - which continues to this day, evidently - I finally decided to double-space everything.

See what I do for you people?

Formatting can be a thorny issue. I use what's easy on my eyes and no-one seems to complain.

Of course, now that I've tempted fate, I'll get a torrent of abuse demanding that I alter the formatting.

As opposed to the torrent of demands that I get for the continuation of various stories.

Hmm. Moka-bashing is starting to become a bit of a habit for me. In cases of Delicious Irony it's okay, but I still need to watch that.
As for Ranma's aura, when you mix silly emotion-based life/mental energy with presumably intelligent magic beasts, anything is possible!

Okay did a epic quest just happen while a normal school day going on in the background?

Epic? Pft. That big heretic couldn't have been higher than level 13.
But yeah, pretty much. The implication is that this is the kind of thing that's been happening in the background all this time while Ranma and Tsukune have been occupied with their little coup.

When Tsukune & Co. finally realize the truth behind boom in spider infestation, is it enough to warrant minor SAN loss or have they become so jaded that their friend accidentally evolving common pests into eldritch cult of religious fanatics doesn't even phase them?

They're not abominations from beyond the universe at all. And Ranma doesn't need a cult to be dangerous.

"When" they realize the truth?
What makes you think they ever will?
I mean seriously, spiders worshipping humans? That's dumb. Anybody who would even suggest such a thing is just crazy.

In retrospect, "if" would've been better choice for wording to use. As for why I thought that main cast would eventually find about them, there were several reasons:

1) Ranma's ability to get into hilariously ankward situations.
2) It would further hinder his chances of passing himself as normal human instead of monster, abysmally low as they already were.
3) It would annoy Keito.
4) Finding about the reason behind increase in spider infestation could be used as plot point should the impossible happen and your ideas regarding BHOC run into a rought spot.

Apparently I was dreadfully mistaken. On the bright side, at least my crazyness was confirmed!

edit: was bored, so I put this together.

Name: Ranma Saotome
God Class: Demigod
Portfolio: Consciousness Expansion/Manifestation (Manipulation implied but not stated)

Secondary effects:
1) Grants sentience to creatures of an animal intelligence that serve him.
2) Unconsciously keeps enemies and mooks from expanding their consciousness (Cats, Ryoga, Mousse, etc.)
3) If he ever really thought about it and applied it, he could increase his stealth abilities tremendously by making everyone else too stupid to comprehend his presence. But he won't because he thinks the portfolio is stupid. Also doesn't look beyond the gift horse of #4.
4) Minor increase in ease of expanding and manipulating 'Ki' and the gift horse he doesn't look beyond. Could expand his ability to manipulate ki.

Enemies/Rivals: Lolth - First cultist worshippers were spiders, nuff said. Must have a scene where a 2nd ed. Drider is sent after him and manages to grant it increased sentience enough that it decides to worship him instead of trying to kill him.

He would be devastated to know that he wasn't some sort of martial god, though that makes the "thinks his portfolio is stupid" bit much sweeter.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by him keeping Ryoga and Mousse from "expanding their consciousness". Is that a dig at their general lack of character growth?

Also, I didn't know 2nd ed driders were particularly dim creatures. Does the transformation drive them insane or something?

When i was younger i had the bottom bunk. My older brother got the top bunk and whenever he was sick (which is often for children) he would always lean over the side and vomit because he 'didn't want to get his OWN sheets dirty'. So i remember waking up several times during my childhood to my brother puking onto my bed...

It really makes you realize the blessing of the top bunk.

Plus ive woken up a couple times from nightmares and smacked my head good against the top bunk. A big knot on the forehead is never fun.
