Sailor Moon: Author Possession Challenge!

That mantra pretty much kept running through my head as I hung on for life while Eudial drove me around in her brand new minivan. There were some skids here, some honks there and a lot of screeching in the back as cars tried to avoid the crazy driver.

"I could have sworn I had the right of way back there," mumbled the woman. She was a redhead similar to Kaolinite but a bit more refined with a pair of glasses on her face.

"Y-y-yahh..." It was all I could stammer out while I tried staying glued to my seat.

She continued to speak normally, not even noticing the chaos she was leaving behind her from her horrid driving. "Anyways, I was wondering if there was a possibility that I could get an increase in my project budget. Just recently, I designed a new and improved version of the Fire Buster and I'm probably going to need more sturdy materials for it so it can handle the feedback loop when I shoot-"

THUMP THUMP!!

We found ourselves grinding to a halt as the minivan ran over two unlucky pedestrians. "I swear, why don't these people watch where they're going?" She was about to put her foot down on the accelerator when she noticed a third humanoid approach the van from behind.

"W-witnesses..."

"Don't worry, Professor! I'll quickly eliminate him and we can get back to finding that kidnapper!" She quickly dived to the back of the van where she had stocked some pieces of junk. "Just give me a few minutes to cobble my Fire Buster together..."

"I don't even know if we have a few minutes..."

The masked humanoid jumped up and landed on top of the van's hood. It then kneeled, staring intently at the van's two passengers. It spread it's arms, and it seemed like it was about to break out into song... But at Eudial's glare, it cleared it's throat instead.

"Professor Tomoe," the demon spoke. "I represent the man in possession of your daughter. He wishes to speak to you-Alone."

I grimaced and paced impatiently. Mercury worked furiously at her computer, eyes narrowing.

"Darnit... The trace is so general..." She pointed towards the west. "I'm afraid that's the best I can do. That way!"

"It'll be enough! Ami, you're awesome!" I enthused, hugging the blue-haired Senshi and kissing her cheek. "Mwah! Allright Senshi, Aoyama-san, let's go!"

 

[Epsilon]

"Where?!"

The only response I would get is a small slip of paper that appeared in the hand of the masked being. It handed the paper over to me which contained a map and specific instructions to ensure that I would be the only one to enter the premises.

Looks like I'll have to play it the kidnapper's way to guarantee Hotaru's safety.

"Finished!" Before the masked demon knew it, it was on fire thanks to Eudial's Fire Buster. And the only thing it could do... was sing its last song as it burned to death as we drove away in Eudial's minivan towards the specified location on the map.

I just got finished reading this...given that the number of authors/crosses is under control I think it looks cool. Mostly, I wanted to say that I thought that drakensis's Rei/Himself song on page 5 was awesome sounding stuff, especially since the start of it sounded like an unmitigated downer ending. Just...the moment of turn around was a "hell yeah" for me.

Trying to cross Nasuverse with Sailor Moon I think would be very difficult regardless. For instance the existence of Crimson Moon Brunestud/True Ancestors and their purpose I believe would conflict heavily with the Moon Kingdoms origins.

I hurridly jumped, leaped and bounded across the rooftops to try and find the Senshi, when my senses began to blare at full blast, nearly sending me over the side of a fruitshop. Looking down at the road, I saw a young, rather pretty woman in her mid-20's walking along, wearing a burgundy-red Chinese dress. Not really understanding why, I leaped down and landed before her, my cane extending out with a *Cla-Click!* sound into a staff about four feet long. "Hello, Tuxedo Kamen," the woman said. I narrowed my eyes.

"How do you know of me. Speak quickly." I said.

"My master has supplied all of the information I require on you... David," she spoke calmly.

This was a hell of a shock. I nearly dropped my staff in surprise. "Wha- Wh- How in the name of Isambard Kingdom Brunel do you know that?!"

The women merely smiled. It was not pleasant. "My master has access to such information on you, and the others like you."

Something clicked in my mind and my eyes narrowed further. "Hold on, I think I recognise you..... Aren't you one of Jadeite's hench-youma? Titus, or something like that?"

I was," she stated. "However, my master has demonstrated something unique, that the Dark Kingdom does not possess."

"Oh really?" I said. "I'll tell you what Titus, I'm in a fairly good mood today, and also in a rush, so I'll make you a deal; you tell me what's going on, who your new master is, and how to stop him, and I won't dust you like an old wardrobe. Deal?"

Titus' smile grew more malicious. "I apologize, but you seem to be under a mistaken impression. You believe there is something you can do to stop my master. This is incorrect. You also believe you could possibly defeat me. This is also incorrect."

"Titus, Titus, Titus..." I shook my head. "You should have twigged on to the fact by now that, as I and others like me are around, and know what's going to happen in the near future, the outlook for your kind is... bleak, to say the least."

The watermains below burst, and great funnels of water rose into the air, like massive towers. "My master is aware of this," Titus said. "But as I said, he is something the Dark Kingdom is not." Her eyes narrowed just a bit. "Competent." With that, she created a massive deluge of water that arched up to crash down upon me.

"Oh, crap." I said weakly. "Running time." I turned and used the staff as a pole-vault to flee. "Run Away! Run Away!" I shouted, in my best Sir Robin impression. After a minute, I paused to catch my breath. "Well, that could have gone better."

It's only going to get worse," Titus spoke, right behind me. Pillars of water rose all around the building and dove down upon me.

"Ack! Not Again!" I said, running. "Why does a pretty girl like you have to be so bleedin' violent? You're as bad as Asuka Langley Soryu!" I called over my shoulder.

"Master Talon is very appreciative of my talents," Titus responded, as she blasted me with a funnel of water, right off the roof.

"Tal- ANDREW! YOU'RE GOING TO GET IT IN THE BLOODY NECK FOR THIIIIISSSSSS!!!!!" The rest of my cursing was quite literally drowned out.

First season at least. Failing that, ask Seiya for anything you need to know, she's our resident expert.

If you're like me and too lazy to re-read the manga, or re- watch the anime; then my advice is to hit up youtube and check out the abridged series: it works well as a summary and is damn interesting.
