I'm surprised that none of you have pointed out that Musubi/Yume was screwing her Ashikabi yet.
I'm surprised no one commented on Homura being a woman. As well as the fact that the Homura ancestor was being screwed as well.

113 and 114 are up on mangafox.

Spoiler:

It seems that Uzume and Akitsu are both destined to join Minato, if my interpretation of this is correct. Possibly Uzume's current Ashikabi as well, since that relationship is too sweet to throw away.
I knew she was reacting to him before she got skewered.

I commented on that over a week ago. The fact Homura was a girl in the past anyway.

Though it wasn't Homura actually, just a Sekirei that was almost identical.

Strangely enough, most of the past versions of the Sekirei look like they were less developed than the modern versions.

In chapter 113, when they mentioned 8 Stars that fell from the sky, did that include Miya?

Cause I've just gone over it and something seemed strange.

Past!Minato had:

1. Musubi/Yumi
2. Flat chested Tsukiumi
3. Older Kuu
4. Kazehana
5. Fully female Homura
6. Uzume
7. Akitsu
8. Matsu

And then Miya.

P!Minato also mentions that he had 8 brides, and I doubt Miya was included in that. Or was she?

But then Matsu doesn't appear in chap 114 at all, even when the others are all fighting. Tho that could b because she's not a front liner.

No, Miya did not include herself. But I believe the 8 stars quote was for the 8 ships that fell, not the wives.

One question we've got to ask is, did all eight ships have identical Sekirei, and if so why?

What did the term 'Pillars' mean also?

Raws for 115 are up.
Have to wait for the scanlations as this is a heavy talking chapter. One thing is obvious, the group is back to the present.

That being said... IT'S ONLY TEN PAGES LONG! :headbanger:

I haven't read Sekirei for a bit and just read the last four chapters.

So fucking confusing.
What's so confusing?

There were eight starships that came from elsewhere (Miya calls it by the names given to the homes of the gods in Japan)

Each of these ships carried 107 Sekirei and one Pillar who acts as the goddess/queen of the Sekirei.

The Pillars have some kind of connection with each other, with Miya being the Pillar of her own ship.

Each Pillar possessed one Jinki, and when all eight Jinki are combined under the power of one human, they have control over the lifeforce and spirit of humans and Sekirei.

The Sekirei of the eight ships seem to have included those who are physically (as well as power and personality wise) almost identical to those who were on other ships.

One of the ships crashed into the ocean, and the occupants were held in suspended animation until Minato's parents found them.

Minato is a descendant of an Ashikabi and one or more of his Sekirei (since both Minato's parents were Ashikabi, it's possible he's descended from several Sekirei) some of whom resembled his own flock.

Modern Ashikabi have Sekirei ancestry.

WAT?

What ass did you pull those last couple lines of crap from?

Minato's parents are ashikabi? His parents found the 8th ship? I'ma thinking someone be spouting theories and masking it as truth.

His parents were the ones who found the ship the current sekirei were on; there were eight ships, and it was the last one since it landed in the ocean, and, thus, they found the eighth ship.

And yes, both of his parents are explicitly stated to be Ashakibi; the entire reason the ship opened up for them was because it detected two people of Sekirei ancestry approaching.

And ashakibi all having Sekirei ancestry is explicitly stated.

This is where they say Minato's flock came from the eighth ship that crashed, and
the discoverers (who were his parents we know) had the ability of Ashikabi

If you keep reading, you'll find the rest of what I said comes directly from those two chapters.

So are you saying the had the ability of ashakibi, or that ashakibi is a genetic thing?

Becuase up until now you couldn't be an ashakibi without your own sekirei.

Well, they had the 'ability' to be Ashikabi. That might be a bit closer.

Miya says that's why they were able to open the ship.

So, they weren't ashakibi. They are just the descendants of some ashakibi and their sekirei.

Okay, so I miss stated.
They had the potential to be Ashikabi, or the ability that makes one an Ashikabi.

That better?

It's really a matter of defining what an Ashikabi is. Is it anyone with the ability to wing Sekirei, or are they Ashikabi only after they have winged a Sekirei?

By the definition of it only requiring the innate ability, then they were Ashikabi.

By the definition of them having to wing a Sekirei first, they were not.

Does anyone have any idea what the fuck just happened?

Is the pillar a new girl that will be added to the harem? A younger version of the landlady? I don't even know anymore.

the DragonBard's explanations didn't help? I believe all eight ships contain clones of each other. It's possible all the pillars are the same clone - Miya. The ages vary because the ships were not only discovered at different times, but the 108 were activated in differing orders. I'm not sure they have mentioned whether the pillar dies to reveal the jinki or is just a caretaker. As such, the pillar may be unable to join a harem or doesn't gain anything by doing so. They follow different 'rules.'

Out of curiosity, aren't you the one that usually puts things together, whether it be theories before the reveal or 'ah ha!' moments after the reveal? This doesn't seem like one of the more confusing & weird series that you have done it for.

Its definitely clones not only that but judging by Miyas dialogue the pillars refer to each other as one entity as well, or more like fragments of one entity.

.......this chapter gave maybe 2 answers and then dumped a truckload more questions that's all I got from it. <_<

It doesn't really matter if only the eight ship has any survivors left.

Yeah this isn't exactly the easiest plot development to follow. Hopefully the things will get cleared up in a later chapter.

aren't you that one guy who can't stop putting things together?
Yes, I am. I can't do much with a solid infodump of engrish and new setting-specific terms, though.

Aside from the whole "each ship is filed with clones/copies/extremely similar sekirei" thing, DragonBard's analysis is generally in line with what I gathered from the conversation. Based on Miya's words, I assumed his own personal experiences were blurring the genetic memories, causing him to see the previous Sekirei as being similar to his own.

Minato has not been specifically told Minaka is his dad. It has been blatantly hinted at by several different characters, yes, but the actual statement "I am/He is your father" has not been said.
