I just received a review that sums up my feelings about Naruto right now. It0s something worth sharing, IMHO. Here goes...

I'm enjoying the story, aside from the fact that it does lean a LITTLE
too much in the marysue direction with just about every ooc and,
particularly, ino. but, whatever--i dont mind too much.

Concerning the timeskip--utter CRAP. the worst plot turn i've seen in
an anime since inu yasha, since evangelion, even. it may even top
them--i've stopped reading on a frequent basis. my love of this genre,
though, has not waned--if it was going to, it most likely would have because
of the outrageous number of yaoi fics here. but that's neither here nor
there.

the point is, i love this forum because of how open the series allows
for timeline manipulation and the variety of stories that can pop up.
the naruto-meets-the-kyuubi-early, the naruto-hates-everyone, the
so-and-so-trains-naruto, the naruto-with-different-team, the variety in
pairings with all the different characters, each of whom has had significant
time spent on describing and explaining personalities and
tendencies--it just leaves for so much to happen. there's little more i can find fun
to read and write for--even the harry potter fandom, which has taken a
significant turn for the worst since book 6. the naruto fandom hasnt
taken the same turn, despite the horrid events after the timeskip.

what i'm getting at is that it's very easy to simply ignore the
timeskip altogether and simply enjoy making up your own future for all those
fun little characters. i'm turning this into a plea for you to not
abandon this fic--there are so few worth reading. if you can't stand the
road, then carve a new path. who knows--more may follow that trail rather
than take the common path.

Wow, that review is made of win. Cripes, I do believe that s/he just PERFECTLY described the reason I still read Naruto fiction. Granted, a lot of the stuff I've seen from there lately hasn't been all that great, but... ^^

Well, when you say 'loli' on TFF, I say 'Fatuous One'. Most of his cute avatars are lolicious.

So in conclusion, go molest Fatuous One. Always a praiseworthy endeavor.
