Just saw the latest two episodes.....I have a really bad feeling about what comes next...
You thinking an evil Gem Warrior invasion too?
As of the Episode "On the Run"....we can pretty much confirm the above.

Notes

At this points the Gems really are like Cybertronians....and the warriors we know and love have basicaly been playing 'Clean up' ever since the end of the last war....that said....I REALLY want to know what happened to the other Earth-born Gems...
The only thing that can happen when two opposing forces meet.

Man this show is getting good.

Maybe not Autobots and more like rebels, Rose always has been noted as weird, she saw beauty in everything, right now my head canon is that they (Rose, Garneth and Pearl) are considered pirates because Rose choose to protect live, there are times were Pearl does some very condescending comments about humans in general and another races.

I almost can see a young Rose becoming more and more enamored with all the things they saw and then convencing the other gems to start protect them instead of terraforming all those worlds

Horror club.

I think the Lars likability might rise if eps like these continue and he gets to show more of his good side.

I can't believe it hasn't been said yet but everyone needs to see Lion 3: Straight to Video.

It was just beautiful.

Man, the gut punches. There is some good thought and feels in this show.

Rose's Scabbard

Okay, so Pearl loved Rose, no surprise there....and was one of her closets confidants. The fact that she didn't help Steven up shows just how rattled she was near the end there.

Also....I notice Garnet wasn't fond of what that battlefield represented....though good on her for grabbing the huge freaking axe for future use.

Rose's Scabbard.

Yeah, if I ever needed a reminder that Pearl is mentally unstable, this was it. Still gut punching though.

Steven...you got a big job ahead little man. I believe you can do it.

Caught the latest episode... I've been overlooking this show. I need to watch it more often.

That was a great episode.

Thought: Every other Gem fusion we have seen has had multiple eyes, and/or limbs.

....except Garnet and Stevonnie. I theorize that the other Gem fusions are more like 'forming Voltron' in that you slam two Gems together, along with their weapons to create something more powerful. Garnet is a true fusion of two beings. Mind, soul, body etc it all comes together to form a Gem greater than the sum of her parts. I mean aside from her eyes Garnet is almost perfectly balanced.

Seen this way, I now understand WHY Garnet was so happy when Steven perfectly fused with Connie. Steven essentially aced a rather difficult test on his first try. It obviously helped that he and Connie have feelings for one another, but still Steven did all the heavy lifting in forming that fusion and the results speak for them self.

Loved this week episodes, specially the call and jail break. Steven goes from annoying kid, to the hearth to the f---ing chosen one very quickily (He is immune to some gem weapons and that will be a big part later in story) love the character developtment.

-Lapiz... Oh god poor little girl, it was a very good thing for humanity that you met Steven, don't worry the little guy will save you
-Pearl, ok she is a work piece, first "the hot one" that had me laughing for hours (yes she is hot but to see the mayor all 15 years old akward crack'd me up) second, the scene in her breakdown were for one moment she sees Steven with resentment... for a second she actually wanted him to fall. Worst for her Steven saw that look and he knew, that's why she didn't try to help him, she was ashamed, that Steven simply hugged her...feels man, the feels.
-Amathist... well in the week she didn't actually had that much plot relevance (still cute, cool and that thoug but adorable way of her) but the scene in "The Scabard" were Pearl was having her episode, show us that wasn't the first time that Pearl breaks down.
-Garnet, well pretty much all Jail Break episode, her song, telling Steven that all her loved him, again in the fucking feels.
-The Dorito, love her in all her annoying ways, and she escape to Canada. I know there is a joke in there but I'm not american so I can't tell it

And last but not least. Steven loved him, one of the best characters I've seen, all the comentaries about how when people see him they see more and more from Rose fill me with love for the series, hoping they don't do an AT and destroy their own protagonist

To be fair, when fighting the forces of darkness, I'd go back-to-back with Finn without any hesitation. However when it comes to dealing with people, inspiring them to be better than they are, Steven get's the nod hands down. Steven just has a better understanding of people. I mean he knew early on that Sadie liked Lars....and also accepted that if the two did get married the chance of Lars screwing it up and causing Sadie to walk out on him was high.

Anyways, I do think Steven and the Gems have earned a vacation...or at least a short respite...that said they really need to hunt Peridot down ASAP.

This is true. Really sucks though but true.

When Finn finish maturing and growing up you'll end with a Badass Uberman for destroying evil with the morals of a hero and the golden hearth of a champion, knid of Link with the body of classic Hercules... but just not that bright.

When Steven put to rest his humanity (probably after Connie's death) you'll have a silly child man, immortal, very powerful and sage that will always look for the best things in the universe, even with darkness looming you'll know that he will be there and you'll feel silly for doubting yourself... Kind of like a Dumbledore/Gandalf with the apparence of your funny Uncle, you know the guy who is the soul of the party and every one laughs at him but can put any bad guy to beg for mercy, except he probably just will make him look to his mistakes and change his life.

So yes I know that Finn is a good character and hell he's coming back, we are seeing again selfless, funny and not creepy Finn, but man season 4 and 5 were though for him and the fanbase, and I like the kind of wisdom that Steven has, even when he makes mistakes (Full Disclosure) he is very likeable, and I don't want him entering puberty and having to see the same thing again, just saying

Nailed that right on the head. Imagine if the two of them teamed up.

Open book....cute episode overall, and seeing Steven's desire manifest as Connie in a wedding dress.....well I guess that wasn't a big surprise, but still charming.

Steven Universe Episode 51 Open Book

Good ep. I can just imagine Connie writing her own fanfic about how Unfamiliar Familiar should have ended.

I can't but help to feel that this ep was aimed to the fans of the show.

Quality pics there. But the ones with Jasper are especially funny.

Open book is just an example of how non big plot relevant eps are just as good. But seriously, 50 pages for a cake? Da Heck?
