Don't mind me, just adding my little bit to the mix.

Just want to note that the group Jacobus is sending into the battle is completely berserk, and not choosy about their targets. As for the effects of that sword, feel free to be inventive, as long as as it's nasty.

Okay, a couple of points, first Elidea doesn't like to kill humans or animals, (Note: She doesn't care about monsters.)

And second she's less aggressive.

Here let me do some quick edits.

It had been years now, ever since that day that Vex had discovered her, and rescued her. She remembered waking for the first time set into a comfortable bed, in an unfamiliar apartment. Although at the time, everything was unfamiliar to her.

If he had not saved her... Elidea quickly suppressed that thought once more. She was designed as a weapon of espionage and assassination.

Although it had taken so long to win her freedom and her peace from them, she had always been grateful to Vex, and happy to be with him.

She hadn't seen much of the universe thus far, but she had always been curious about what lay beyond her home planet. Although this new planet was rather full of strife at the moment, she still found it very interesting, she hoped she'd be able to look around after Vex returned.

Elidea was so absorbed with her recollections, and her book, that she managed to completely ignore the screams, explosions and general sounds of battle raging outside the city. Such sounds were common enough on 'Twitch' that she never really payed much attention, she didn't recognize Vex's voice either, so she found no reason to pay attention.

She dimly registered the explosion from outside as something to be aware of, but the windows exploding inwards still took her by surprise, and she jerked back in mid air.

She blinked. A hunched figure sat on the ground near her, surrounded by shards of glass, she heard a yelp as the figure, (male, but rather young, judging by his voice), managed to cut himself on the lose glass shards. Given the size of the windows it was rather amazing that the boy had managed to jump in without getting cut. She absently pushed the shards of glass away from him, although he didn't seem to notice.

The boy, or rather young man, finally had the sense to take note of his environment. His gaze immediately fell on her, and he lost whatever number of points he had gained for his modicum of good sense. Gaping like a fish out of water, had he never seen a woman before?

Elidea blinked in surprise as she finally noticed what was happening in this man's mind, or rather that she didn't notice. Normally her telepathy was so powerful she couldn't control it at this close range, but for some reason wasn't absently reading his surface thoughts.

Strange...

However, he didn't seem to be a threat, and as it wasn't any of her business, she turned back to her book.

<><><><>

Watashiwa wasn't sure what to think. He had just broken through a window in front of an incredibly gorgeous girl who had looked at him once, for a moment she looked shocked, but that passed quickly and she proceeded to ignore him in favor of reading.

On the one hand, he was irritated that his audience had nothing to say about his performance--he knew from experience how dangerous diving through glass windows could be (he thought he'd broken some kind of record though. He'd made a perfect window breaking-landing while moving close to 100 miles per hour and carrying a girl).

On the other hand, the girl had good taste in literature. The bibliophile in him approved wholeheartedly at the notion of ignoring the world at large in favor of reading.

Absently, he reclaimed his unconscious(still! Would the damn woman wake up already!?!) burden and prepared to leave.

Opening the hallway door, he noticed a draft from the broken windows. While the girl had been anything but polite to him, it would be on his head when/if she caught a cold and her parents blamed him for it.

He stretched a hand palm up towards the floor, and made a quick "Up!" gesture with his fingers. Every shard of glass on the floor leapt into the air. A shooing motion saw the glass flying towards the window frames. Once the glass was mostly smooth Watashiwa superheated the glass with electricity.

While it was a clumsy job, it would keep the room from freezing. His duty to his own skin done, he hefted the witch and again soldiered on.

He paid no attention to the golden eyes that stared at his back.
<><><><>

Elidea was rather good at changing her opinion on a person. It was no wonder that this boy had so little regard for his own safety, he was like her or any other number of people she could name; his powers relieved him of the need to be on constant alert. Anything threatening enough to her wellbeing would after all, quickly find it's wrath quite impotent.

While Elidea had heard of Murphy's Law, she had rarely witnessed it in practice. Just as she got over the shock of finding someone with powers similar to her own so far from home, the windows once again exploded inwards.

This time however, the walls came with them.

Elidea didn't bother moving, any all all debris that came close to her stopped abruptly in mid air, then fell harmlessly to the ground three feet away from her.

She examined the newest arrival with a cool eye. He was a tall, naked man who seemed oddly colored, parts of him were a natural dark brown, whereas other portions were covered in inky shadow.

Aside from the obvious nakedness, his most striking feature was his head. It was obviously completely inhuman, like a collection of nightmare beasts, from it's horrifically distended canines to it's mismatched eyes to it's sick, diseased looking facial skin.

The creature turned to look at her.á "WhErE iS ThAt BAsTard!?!" It snarled, it's mismatched teeth giving it's words odd intonations.

"TelL mE GiRL!!!" it screamed, spraying saliva towards Elidea, which she immediately stopped before it could hit her. Elidea felt her anger growing. This hideous looking monster was being extremely rude, and from a cursory glance a it's thoughts, using the term loosely, monster would describe it quite readily.

Still...

"ANSWer MEEEEEEEEeeeeeeee!!!" the beast roared. And here it made it's mistake. Up came a clawed hand and the book was shredded.

Elidea looked down at her now ruined book. Slowly she raised her head to look at the creature. The Shadowman felt an uneasy, and downright dreadful feeling taking hold of it. If he had still retained enough of his humanity to truly understand the situation, it might have recognized the monkey's eternal reaction to the tiger that it had just provoked.

"I don't like you," the girl quietly whispered, her eyes turning silver. The glass raised off the floor instantly.

The beast's screams were heard by the group that was even now fighting to the death right outside the tower.

Watashiwa burst in after it was over, to find broken windows, broken walls, a torn book, and not a trace of glass.

Or blood.

Ah, all right.

I'll edit those in in just a moment.

Question: Are there any other psychics on 'Twitch'?? If there are, how much contact has Elidea had with them?
Some, but they aren't particularly popular powers.

And she's had some contact, but doesn't regularly meet any.

Think about Twitch in the way it originated. It's the embodiment of all Forum Battles, Blah Wars and *Vex Kills Watashiwa with a Salmon-Sword!*-isms.

Except more organized and with thought put into it.

Yo, Xaosite. I'm going to assume the currently crazed fangirl you wrote is Issildra's servant Ariana, right? If I'm correct (and I think I am), try not to have her killed, please? I've a lot of things planned out for her before her story ends.

I'm trying to figure out how to work that monster truck into Watashiwa's next post, given his immediate future.

I'm sure I'll think of something.

Anyway, NGD: still having Lea problems? Just crush the ***** and go looking for Nanashi because Lea forgets where he's headed. :sisi:

Hm. NGD and I are back-posting so that we can pull off a certain attack we've been wanting to use.

Technically, the two of us are in flashback mode.

Eternity's post is the "right" post to follow up on.

EDIT: Although it might be a good idea for you to start your next post with an explanation as to how Elidea got outside... and why she's so angry.

Then switch to Vex and Lea. (Nanashi will be joining the two of you after he sees a man about fire).

What? I thought they were supposed to fuse. Which is why I was trying to figure out how to get Lea thrown to where Nanashi is without screwing up that root system thing I had set up.

I've read that entire thing. I especially enjoyed one of the latest comics.

:snigger:

Figured out what to do now though. And I plan to make it look like I was planning it the whole time. :ph43r:

Okay, EI, I'm gonna have to ask you to remove the part about my NPC from your last post. It screws up my plans something fierce to have her wandering around.

Well, actually, I had been thinking of her as just some nameless goon that wanted a promotion to 'named enemy.'

But if it works better for her to be your NPC, I have no problem with that. Just let me know how you want to handle it, and I'll adjust my ideas as needed.

Ha, I'm totally gonna get my ass handed to me. Or at least, it'll be really cool until she pole-axes me.

Of course, that depends on actually getting close enough to hit her.

This should be fun.

I have an exam to finish up, but afterwards I'm free for a while. Hopefully long enough to update this, do the DnD thing on Saturday, and update Arean's next thing on Story Debates.

No, you do, just a very busy one.

Hmm... which of my four backlogged essays should I do tonight? I say the one on the nuke--hey! I just got my first Persona!

Don't sweat it NGD. See you when you're less busy!

All to hell we must sail
For the shores of New Barbados
Where the yaoi-fics grow taller than the God we once believed in
The Butcher and her Crown
Raped the land we used to sleep in
Now tomorrow chimes of ghastly crimes
That haunt that Fangirl Island

Something I started humming after reading the threads and listenting to 'Tobacco Island' by Flogging Molly.

Oh God, what have I done?

Exams. 4 on consecutive days, and then the final one Monday.

Plus uni woes.

No chance in hell.

*pops up*

The last final I have to worry about is in two days (fuck you, Math. Burn in hell). After that, I'm free, and if you guys haven't done so already, I'll post and move the plot forward to push towards the next event.

Unfortunately, it'll be another two and a half weeks or so before I'm actually 'free'. I still have classes this week, plus a pair of assignments due this week, and then exams...

<_<
