My Internet stopped working when the house got swarmed. My sis, mom, and I were holding up in the master bedroom, but we grabbed our dog, jumped in the car and floored it. The smaller ones are run over-able.

Hey, Zero, which part of CA do ya live in? I'm in SoCal, and maybe we can meet up or something.

EDIT: OK, What the FUCK!?!? We ran into my Uncle's anime store right? I go in to see if these there. No shadows, no nothing. I turn around, and my mom and sis are gone. I didn't hear anything, and the car's still there.

I am creeped out. If they don't show up soon, I am getting in that car and driving to my uncle's house. (Which is huge and has a shitload of kitchenknives and supplies. Maybe I can get a weapon.)

I'm scared. :blue:

I'm at my uncle's house, but no one's there. I found a crowbar and a kitchenknife, but most of the house was looted. Man, I'm starving.

My dog and I are on the second floor living room. There are lights on on the other side of the neighborhood. Think I should check it out?

Hunted down an abandoned car standing in the middle of the road. Lucky break, as keys still seem to be in the ignition. Works, bumped up pretty bad, and one side is scraped to hell and back, but otherwise seems like my best bet. Took it back to the mall since I wouldn't be able to navigate my way out of the city before it got dark. Barricading myself in one of the staff offices upstairs.

I'll try to sleep a little before it gets dark all the way, haul some canned and dry foods, couple changes of clothes. Trying not to think beyond that right now, or I'll likely collapse into a blubbering heap.

Picked up some grill starter, solid state, as well as lighter fluid. Dozen or so lighters. Pulling and printing Anarchist's Cookbook and some survival manuals in case my machine craps out.

Gonna try to hit an airport tomorrow. Maybe an outlying train terminal. If I last through the night.

Made it to morning, so that's one plus. Everyone is making a run to Wallmart and then I'm heading to the rifle range. I'm bring a friend along with me and we've borrowed another guy's truck for the trip. We're gonna load this fucker up and then hole up in the Wallmart till we get more info.

Morning everybody! Good to see we're all still alive. Hopefully.
So, everyone in the dorm got through too which is good, and the sun is now high and bright. We can still see them, but they're hiding in the shadows now. Well, more like lurking. But, we can leave at least. I'm going to snag a meal at the dining hall, and then start packing up to head out. I got word of a knife shop in down town that's giving out some very nice an sharp blades. My roomie's still OK, and we're taking his car to grab stuff. After that, we're going to check on his folks, since they're only a few miles out of town and are gun maniacs.

Now then, these things are international? Less than 24 hours ago, I had never heard of these things, and now wreaking havoc across the ponds too?

Shit. I wonder if they're in space too? We've lost TV feed, but the internet's still good.

Wait a tic... does anyone have a weather report for tomorrow? 'Cause if it's cloudy enough, they'll probably be able to rampage all over for longer.

I'm the one in Cali, Twin Blade, I'm a bit south of sacramento, if you think you want or can haul it up here I'll give ya the address. But I suggest finiding someone and using the buddy system to keep an eye on each other.

Made it through the night and my turn taking watch withought incident but when we sent a few people to check on some of the other groups of familes, those houses were empty one of the doors were open and we found a mess inside, I think they got swarmed and someone tried to run.

I suggested REI, and their gun section, it it's not a wall-mart but it has weapons, sleeping bags and preservable food. While we were loading up I gave a call to my mother, step-dad and sister. No pick up no answer. Not from their house phones not from their cells.

We're at wall-mart now and I'm using the comp at a manager's office we've taken over and taken turns sending e-mails to people seeing if we can find them that way. And when I told them where I got the REI suggestion they wanted me to see if there were any others.

We might move to wall-mart after going through here, don't know yet, I grabbed my con pack before I left it usually has a couple blades some power bars and a spare coat. I brought along what I remember being called a muramasa that I got from a Con incase we come across someone who knows how to use the thing. I'm rambling now, going on sheer busyness, I just know when I stop I'll start grieving, it's just hte way I work.

There's more to do, I'll drop a line when I can.

Finally back, and let me tell you my week has been hell. I had a nasty mutant cockroach infestation, and the things took my bloody laptop. You wouldn't believe the size of some of them, came right up to my knees if they stood up straight. Had to torch the blasted things in a serious way till they were finally gone, and managed to pull my laptop back from the last one.

I can't seem to find anybody in my area anymore, and the ones that I can find have locked themselves up tight. I think they're hiding something... Then again, considering the thugs that have been around lately, not surprising. I tell you, those kids must have found some serious steroids or something. This guy was massive, and didn't even flinch when I lit him up after he tried to crush me. The guy broke the freaking pavement too, so it wasn't long before I decided it was wise to high tail it. Luckily the big dude was freaking slow. Crime must be a serious issue in the area all of a sudden, because I'm seeing more and more of them lately.

I think everyone's been leaving because of it too. Most of the houses around here have been broken into (though it looks more like a freaking car ran into them) and I can't find anybody anymore. Stores are freaking empty too, and I'm finding it mighty tempting to grab that flamethrower I've been eyeing for a while, but the storekeep wouldn't let me touch. Hey, it's not my fault they left it unguarded. :sisi:

Only guy still around seems to be that crazy hobo. Seems to be spouting nonsense about shadows and the world being invaded. I tell you, that guy can seriously book it for someone looking so freaking starved.

Made it. That hobo? He's insane. And apparently well funded. Right after the fuel for my mini-slinger ran out, he comes in with this bazooka or something, and starts laying waste to those thugs blocking the way. I managed to slip through, though the guy's aim was disconcerting.

Also names? I vote for Roaches. Because that is a mutant cockroach, no matter how you look at it.

Anyway, now have the flamethrower, and it is awesome. There were a couple of crates of fuel for it in the back, but I can't carry them all. I stuffed as many as I could into a bag I aquired as well, but it probably won't last long. I could fit more, but I'm slowed enough as is... And I need room for my laptop.

But hey, 50 feet of scortching flames even for a little while should be good enough.

About to head out again. Hopefully they didn't trash my place.

Those things are NOT Roaches. I have never seen a black cockroach with GLOWING EYES. Unless there are different kinds, I refuse to believe that these are freaking cockroaches.

OK, calmed myself down, but I heared a window break downstairs. Since these things can shapeshift, I think it's a human. Just gonna lock the door and get ready if he or she barges in.

I'd go to the attic, but I'm not comfortable with shadows right now.

Made it back to my home by the way, the things are scared of me now. Ol' Nitro sure showed them. Barely used a fraction of my tank too, they bolted when the first guy got the first burst. Can't find the hobo, but those big guys were slow so I'm pretty sure he got away.

As for that thing? I don't know. I think it's a gang sign or something. All those thugs had them. Either that or some weird copyright symbol.
