I like several of his stories as well, but his updates are so slow I don't really pay attention to his site.

I wrote him an e-mail yesterday and reviewed his fics and I got an answer.

Too bad I don't care for 'Deific Intervention'. He's already written 20 chapters. Personally I never was a Buffy fan and I especially disliked Xander. Annoying idiot. So, a fic with him as the main character isn't really interesting. Still, I'll continue reading it just to see how he'll add Ranma to the mix.

Perhaps Ranma is the anorexic demon in that one? :evil2: Haha, I doubt it, but explosion of nerdrage from some of guys here would almost be worth it.

My issue with Buffy is they took the great version from the movie and made her crap in the series... I quite liked her in the movie, but absolutly cannot stand her in the series.

Thus I refuse to watch it.

On the other hand... The Buffy series is better than Twilight movies...

Grrr... give me good vampire series... Hellsing series, Tsukihime, Forever Knight...

What's funny about this is that apparently the series is closest to what Joss wanted in the first place. The movie was changed by the executives, which Joss hated. Thus the Buffy from the series only mentions a couple things from the movie, those aspects that Joss managed to keep like he wanted. The rest of the movie was completely ignored.

At least as I understand it from reading about it.

While interesting, it does nothing to change my opinion.

They turned a cool rebelious but honorable and kick ass girl... into ick... the eyes bled... I stopped watching in disgust.

I've been told most fans preferred the series. And for sure enough must have kept watching for it to go so many seasons... But darned if i can see why.

I must confess to being one of those series fans.

The movie was okay, but was definitely camp. No one onscreen was taking the premise seriously and if that's what you like, then the movie is for you.

The series was played straight by all involved. The humour was of the 'Peter Parker' sort: witty patter to keep sheer terror from overwhelming them. That, and those episodes built on the notion that Evil has its minor-leaguers too.

So yeah, the series was more to my taste than the movie (in spite of my love of Kristy Swanson and almost any movie with Donald Sutherland in it). Of course Alyson Hannigan didn't hurt it either. :)

Not begrudging you your choice... merely I couldn't stand it myself.

To me, the girls were mostly preppy snobby airheaded b***h's, and the guys jocks or geeks with few in betweens.... and the concept of 7 seasons of that... bleagh...

Admittedly 7 seasons was two too many. :huh.:

I also liked the movie and disliked the tv series. Oh well.

Admittedly I only saw the movie once, years ago. I have no idea what I would think of it today.

I liked his stuff when it first came out, but going back to read it now reveals that it was not very good at all. ^_^;
That's the case with fanfics in general, sometimes. What was OMG!THISISSOAWESOMEZ! then, can be MYEYEZTHEY'REINMYEYS!ARRRGGABLARRGGHH!". (written intentionally that way
That often happens, especially after you're more used to the world of fics. When I started reading To Break Her Chains it was interesting. Now it seems horribly overloaded with cliches, improbable power and poor characters. It's actually a bit sad to think about it.

New chapters up, but only HP lemon fics (Succubus!Harry), but some good news. He's activel writing a new chapter of 'Finding an Anchor'. Chapter is about one third done.

So, if the chapter is one-third complete after seven years -- approximately the time since the last full chapter -- we can expect it to be fully complete in another fourteen. Nice to know I'll be able to read a new chapter of this story for Christmas 2025. :evil2:
