The Quote Game!

Simply put, it's a spin off of the Challenge Game. What you do to play is:

Choose any quote from ANYWHERE. Books, movies, real life, anime & manga, games... anything goes. For each attempt, you can propose two quotes, a 'main' one and a 'backup' one, just like in the Challenge Game.

Next, choose any one anime/manga, and try to imagine who could say that quote and when, why and to whom (if applicable).

You don't have to write an entire snippet about it, a simple summary of the scene would be enough.

This game could be a fine breeding ground for oneshots, actually. That's why I'm starting it.

OK, to start off:

"No, I've been mocking you for the past half hour. A little slow on the uptake, aren't we, Princess?" (Ryudo to Elena, in Grandia 2 - note that the 'Princess' part is a sarcastic remark)

Alternatively:

There was a sudden detonation and eyes across Konohagakure turned to the Hokage monument, that was now hidden from view by a cloud of dust. Within moments, dozens of minds had followed well worn paths and came to the same conclusion - "That blasted Uzumaki brat is back in town."

Tsunade, having not been in town for previous incidents involving Naruto, the Hokage Monument and paint, toilet paper, women's underwear or four tons of gravel and sixty gallons of superglue, was not so quick to jump to conclusions. She was also considerably closer to the site than most of Naruto's observers and had strong motives to investigate (any excuse to get away from the paperwork).

It didn't take her long to reach the base of the monument, where she saw that the perpetrator was indeed a blond - although rather too tall to be Naruto. As the dust settled, she realised that the faces of the four previous hokages were unaltered, except for a slight layer of dust. The change was to the rocks to one side of them, where a fifth face had been carved into the face of the cliff - a face that she saw any time she passed a mirror. The sculpture was magnificent, especially since it had been carved into the mountain in a single sequence of explosives.

"Ya know, we were getting around to that," she said and then frowned as she saw that the ninja responsible was wearing a black cloak decorated with crimson clouds. "... what the hell? When did the Akatsuki take up sculpture."

"I'm an artist, un," declared Deidara and triggered another set of explosives.

Tsunade dashed sideways to a safe distance as another cloud of dust formed. Before her sight was obscured she could see that her face on the mountain had been pulversised by the explosions.

"...Why?"

"I felt like destroying something beautiful, un," Deidara told her then prudently fled towards the edge of the village, with a furious Tsunade hot on his heels. She was magnificent when she was angry, he noted. But the real trick would be to model her heaving breasts in his next masterpiece - how the hell did they move like that?

He was still glancing back at Tsunade's chest when he reached the gates to Konoha, which might explain why he didn't notice that the gates were closed until it was a little too late...
