Ch 80 - Decision of the Three Maidens

While Nagi is pretty much a nice guy, he has been indecisive about his 'favor'. <_< The Maidens decide that they need to change that. ^_^

Enjoy!

On UNM 80... It is so nice they thought of his input when coming to all these decisions...

They are going to make him miserable enough he will have to tell them off again.

I hope he can tell granny off as well while he is at it.

I think your view of them is a little too tainted by your past experiences with harem manga, Heintz. While they did plan out everything themselves, if Nagi truly objected, I doubt they would push it. And it's not like it's such a horrible plan all things considered.

No... I think you misunderstood... the plan in and of itself to alternate days is not bad... where it goes down hill fast is they not only did not ask him what he thought of it, they outright told him they could not go back to the way it was, and granny despite his earlier conversation with her on the topic is still hell bent on punishing them for him not making the choice.

All that pressure on him is what I think will make him miserable unless he steps in, not the mere concept of the plan itself.

But the problem is they can't stay the way they were. Nagi isn't the only one in the situation here, the girls are as well, and leaving them hanging isn't fair to them. He needs to make a decision and their life together in the house wasn't really moving him towards that goal.

You seem to be making the situation into something far bigger than it is. He went from living in a house with three women, to having to date those three women. Big deal. If Nagi was so bothered by it, he would say something, but he didn't, aside from a half-hearted desire to keep things the way they are. =/

Ehhh... No. The point I've been trying to make is there was no discussion occuring, *they* decided it *without* him. Also... he *did* start to ask why it could not continue as it was, they gave no reasons, but merely a loud *NO*.

However, about the only one I want to really be sanctioned is granny.

Actually, it's funny that the villagers want a subversion of their legends. The original Dragon God took all three maidens as his brides, whereas Nagi is expected to choose one. I think the teacher needs to poke a couple holes in the obvious fallacies here.

Anyway, new chapter up. Nagi goes to main island with Karin.

Technically speaking, the Dragon God didn't *chose* three brides. Three maidens were sent (read: sacrificed) to the Sea Dragon god and that supposedly reduced his anger against the islanders.

That being said, Nagi's going to be rather angry if something bad happen to the maidens he *doesn't* chose. <_<

How can Nagi get upset when CLEARLY he's going to choose all three.

CLEARLY.

If you get my drift...

I guess I need to clarify some...

Nagi's going to be rather angry if something bad *were to happen* to the maidens he doesn't chose. It could very well effect how he makes his decision. ^_^

Yes, I would prefer for this story to have a harem ending - it is one of the few were it would be both plausible AND logical - but how many anime/manga series have ended like that?

This is one of those few where in nearly all things they want the same goal and get alone quite well both together and separately...

And except for him being manhandled early on by Soyagi due to misunderstanding... there has not really been any violence amonst the lot of them (not counting wanted violence against a certain perverted relationship wrecking teacher).

The island has its own laws, and clearly no one is keeping much in way of secrets or two timing.

I think the harem end is the only way to save face, blow grannys plans out of the water, and everyone gets what they want.

The only bad thing is they never would have noticed him were it not for his status... it is kind of a black spot on their records.

We can't really say that much for sure. He never really got a chance to woo any of them before BAM, Dragon God.

Ch 81.5 - My Very Own Haru-chan

In this special chapter update we get to see a familiar face (for readers of Ai Yori Aoshi, at least) when we see Rinne-chan talking to Nagi about her friend Haruna. This is a kinda sad chapter, even if we do get to see Rinne with the neko ears this time. Plus, there is a full-size color picture jacket from the upcoming tankobon release. ^_^

Enjoy!

Hmmm... for unknown reasons the ES version of the download did not work for me this time, did the DF instead. ES just kept looping and giving the button to start the free download, but it never actually did the download.

After a two month delay in publishing  a new update for UnM...

Ch 82 - Am I Ready?

Yes, the title on the tin is what the chapter is about. Karin and Nagi have wound up their daytrip to the big island, but now they are back at Nagi's house... all alone... and Karin is getting over her getting over her shyness and lack of experience with some new clothes. B)

Some news out there... Kou Fumizuki, the author of Umi no Misaki, is starting a new series titled Itadaki, which will be published in Young Animal Island magazine, which apparently is published every two or three months or so. The story starts out with a new girl at a school joining the Mountain Hiking (as compared to Climbing) Club as an extracurricular activity. So far there are only three other girls in the club, and the art/drawings of the characters are suspiciously familiar. Scanlations are being done by Solaris-SVU and can be found here. No romance or action so far, with no indication in which direction it will go.

Since Fumizuki is starting this new series, it implies that UnM may be coming to an end. As sad as seeing this series come to an end, I am looking forward to a resolution of the three Cape Maiden dilemma... especially since the standard manga harem ending ("I don't want to hurt them by choosing one, so I won't choose any") is unlikely to occur. After all, Fumizuki's previous series, Ai Yori Aoshi had a relatively happy ending.

Enjoy!

Quite liked that anime. My likeing that series is why I started reading Umi no Misaki when I heard of it.

If they finish this manga, I would really like for them to make it an anime.

^ meh about the Ai Yori Aoshi stuff.

The anime was good, but the way it ended in the novel made me rage so much.

Anyways, new chapter. Dragon dude faces his first challenger. Nagi may not have the self control to resist.

Ch 83 - Say It More.

Karin asks Nagi to say something very important to her, which when he does, results in her asking him to do something else for her - something more physical. B)

BTW, it looks like UnM is back on the biweekly release schedule. :yay:

Enjoy!

What about the end of AYA did you not like? Who Karou ended up with, or that he had to give his half brother what he wanted? Keep in mind that in Karou's mind he did not find it worth giving up what he found precious (at first his mother's gift and later his fiancee) to be the family heir.
