Naruto Untitled Naruto Crossover

Actually, concidering that Soi Fong is in her Shinigami garb implies that she isn't in a gigai. Rock Lee does have charka coils; but their messed up to the point that he can do only do extreamly basic things, and only after a lot of hard work. In otherwords, at this point he is like pre-Soul Society Chad; he can't see what's there but he can still kick it's ass.
The reasons behind Rock Lee's 'disability' have never been stated, that I know of... just the effects it has. The only thing the he definitely can't do is use ninjutsu and genjutsu... so I have to ask, how is being able to see a Shinigami a ninjutsu or genjutsu?

The 'at this point' remark also implies that you plan to correct the issue for him, at some point. If it's a problem with his coils that is making it so he can't see the Shinigami, and eventually he will be able to see them... then that means he's going to fix the coil problem?

If so, then cue the people bitching about Rock Lee being able to use ninjutsu and genjutsu, because they prefer him the way he is.

Linking why he can't see her to his disability is just a bad idea, if you plan for him to overcome that and keep him unable to use ninjutsu and genjutsu.

And it being an issue with his coils doesn't really make sense, anyway, because he can still infuse his body with chakra (and his eyes are part of his body). He already has enough disabilities, he doesn't need one that doesn't make a lot of sense.

If you really want him not to be able to see them, though, you could just say he doesn't have enough spiritual energy. Then keep the coil problem as why he can't use ninjutsu or genjutsu. That way you achieve both matters without having to drastically alter his character.

He finds some way to build spiritual energy, develops the ability to see the spirit entities, and still remains Rock Lee.

Another reason why Naruto could have been left there is that she left as a way to hide Naruto. Perhaps there was a major battle or something that severely depleated Shinigami forces and were trying to find anyone they could, and the child of a Shinigami would be a tempting target to grab to train, and someone born of a Shinigami could have additional power due to being a half-breed (Such as Ichigo's ability to awaken others abilities and his intuitive abilities) and would be someone they could easily use. The mother would not want her son used in such a way and thus left him with his father while leaving to hide his existance from the Soul Society until he was old enough to be able to decide for himself rather than being a child soldier of some kind.

Meanwhile, the Kyubi goes on his rampage and the 4th sacrifices himself to call on a Shinigami (The summon learned through the relationship with Naruto's mother or some other plot device) and seals him in the half-shinigami although the summon messes things up that prevent her from returning and thus hides her other connections to the world, cue later on her returning when she feels that he wouldn't be conscripted.

Even if Lee got his coils fixed, he's been working hard at being the best with just taijutsu. It's like a way of life to him. You assume that just because he can, he WOULD use nin and genjutsu.

But take Maito Gai, his teacher. He CAN use ninjutsu and genjutsu, but CHOOSES not to, because he specialized in taijutsu to an extreme. Why can't Lee make the same choice? He's already progressed so far in his field. It makes no sense to divert attention and effort from it to (slowly) start learning the very basics of the rest.

I can see Lee learning Kawarimi and the Kai dispelling jutsu, so that genjutsu doesn't fuck him up, but I don't see him learning anything else willingly.

The tree climbing and water walking are probably things he would want to learn. I don't see him wanting to learn a lot of attack jutsu or anything, but some minor things for convenience sake are easily possible.

 He already knows those. One of the few moments where P2 came through: he was water-walking when Team Gai met up with Team Kakashi.

It's unclear whether he can tree-climb though. water walking is ablut pushing chakra out to float, tree climbing is about sticking to a surface with it.

...and given how he can bounce OFF trees with his speed, tree climbing is redundant anyway.

Erm... I'm not assuming anything. You're putting words into my mouth, here.

I didn't say that I would have a problem with it, nor did I say anything about him learning them. I specifically said cue the people bitching about Rock Lee being able to use ninjutsu and genjutsu, because they prefer him the way he is. Whether or not he learns any never even came into it, until you brought it up.

And If he did run at them full-tilt, I'd consider that about as OOC for him as it gets. He wants to prove he can be a great ninja with taijutsu... and that'd be kinda hard if he goes nijutsu or genjutsu crazy.

We agree on that.

I also agree that he'd learn Kawarimi and Kai (stabbing yourself in the leg to dispel a genjutsu has to get old after the third or fourth time), and probably Henge and Bunshin, too. The basics of the academy seem like the bare minimum...

Probably the shunshin, too... not that he'd need it all that often, considering how fast he is. But if it does make you faster, as so many people seem to believe, then it could be a valuable tool... but that's really neither here nor there.

And I can't see Gai not giving him access to his summoning contract, either.

On the other hand, it wouldn't make sense for him not to pick up some genjutsu or ninjutsu if he gained the capability. Whether or not he sticks to taijutsu most of the time, having some genjutsu or ninjutsu in case of emergencies just seems like a good idea.

Gai may prefer taijutsu, but he has a few ninjutsu and genjutsu under his belt (Kai, Summons, and whatever else gets you to a ninjutsu and genjutsu score of three each).

I don't have a problem with any of the above. Hell, I think I'd actually like to see Lee bitchslap Sasuke with nothing but the basics of ninjutsu and low level taijutsu... it just makes me want to smile. :D

I'm specifically pointing this out because I have seen stories majorly flamed on FFN for specifically this reason. Some people just can't stand the idea of Lee not having his disability... whether or not he runs off and starts trying to become a ninjutsu or gejutsu master doesn't even enter into it. Just the fact that he can pisses them off... :\

If SR wants to keep the issue of ninjutsu and genjutsu out of it (IE not change Lee so that he can use them), and for some reason is set on him not being able to see spirit entities yet, then the best way is to have the coils be the reason for his disability and a deficit of spirit energy in his chakra as the reason he can't see spirit entities.

Just a suggestion to try to clear up a point that, right now, doesn't make any sense. :)

And next time, please, don't try to put words into my mouth...

Geh, in this case when I said 'you' I was generalizing. I hate Italian figures of speech, they don't translate well into english at all. <_<

Yay for miscommunications. I wasn't trying to put words in your mouth.

Considering that the stuff happens inmediately after the SS Arc, it means that 14-15 years ago, while Yoruichi is living in Karakura, Death-God-Scientist-Urahara get's some strange readings (biuji) that don't come from any of the known worlds, so of course he sends Yoruichi, who ends up in the middle of the Leaf-rock war while Urahara's machine is fried (PLOTDECIVEWARNING), trapping Yoruichi in the Shinobi continent. Things happen and while Yondaime prepares the seal, Urahara finds her again and pulls her out. And since the transfer is not instantaneous by the time Yoruichi arrives to Karakura, they can only see Yondaime's body and an asleep Naruto being taken to the morgue by the Sandaime (To find Yoruichi's body and give her a proper burial), so of course they think both father and son are dead, but while Urahara had nothing to do while Ichigo and the others are rescuing Rukia he checks again on the Shinobi world and walla! Little Naruto is alive!

Feel free to criticise this version of events. :p

Stupid idea, but never been done about the Kyuubi : we know that Hollow can assume monstruous or human form. What if a gigantic nine-tails fox was the form of an Hollow Ichigo ?
As for how, Rukia would have missed him, and he was killed along his family. I think that would make him hate the Hollow enough to become one himself when he dies.
By the way, biiiiig plothole here. How come papa Ichigo was also beaten ,since later, it's shown he's good enough to take care of a shinigamized Fisher ?

Well one way for Yourochi to leave is for her to wake up after the attack and be told by one of the more spiteful doctors...her son is dead.

Isshin wasn't there when his wife died. We don't know any of his previous battles. He was never beaten as far as we know.

I think Shikaze was referring to the first hollow attack in the manga.

I've got two theories on that, but I'm not sure on either: the first is that Ichigo's massive spiritual energy had the same effect on Isshin as they did on Rukia, as that he overwhelms every other spiritual energy, and the ex-captain didn't notice until the hollow was right on top of them; the other is that he didn't get his powers back until later in the manga, and as a result couldn't do shit during that fight.

Or it could just be a plothole.:huh.:

Methinks someone needs to reread the very first chapter of Bleach. Isshin was lying in a pool of blood after the noname Hollow blowed up the wall of the house.

Either a plot hole, or he severly weakened it. I suppose he wasn't able to get out of his gigai to actually do something about it. He may not have been expecting one to show up and wasn't able to get out in time.

The point in learning tree climbing isn't to climb trees, it is to stick to surfaces easily. While bouncing around on trees works for instances where they are close together, it does not work in other cases. Being able to climb walls, rock faces, stand in place on surfaces, etc. Those are the true advantage to the ability.

Why are we debating the plot of a series that everyone will admit has more holes than a wiffleball? I know I learned that it doesn't really get anywhere. Plus Naruto was fucked from the get go. Kishi was used to writing series that failed, and he never quite adjusted to this one taking off. It was a fluke. He rarely planned ahead and it shows. The only thing I know he planned ahead on was Kakashi's backstory and people agree that it is some of the best stuff about the series. He had like 23 volumes to work out all the bugs on that one.

It's also quite possible that Urahara and Isshin have been manipulating Ichigo from the beginning.

Quite possible, we have no idea what squad Isshin was from. Since he is a doctor, he could be from Uruhara's. I would think that he was caught off guard and not able to get out of his gigai, is more likely that early in the story. He was probably expecting to not need to get out quickly since there were shinigami in the area. Being beat up on purpose would be kind of silly. This is a tangent though, and should be discussed on Bleach Talk. I've had enough of derailed threads. That 4 pages or so of Star Wars crap in Banana Hammockry was fairly annoying. I know I irritated several people with the page or so of genetics discussion.

Just to bring it somewhat back on the main topic, the character (whichever is chosen as his mother) could have been injured fighting a powerful hollow. Said injury causes them to go to the village, gets helped by the 4th hokage and so starts the relationship/fling.

Then the mother could be in childbirth as the demon attacks and can't jump out of the body immediately. He decides to use a jutsu left over from when summoning contracts were first being designed that's supposed to summon a powerful being to slay the enemy, said being being a powerful hollow of some form which proceeds to kill the 4th and severely damage kyuubi, putting it into what is essentially a coma as it recovers. Around this time Naruto is finally born and his mother rushes off to find out where the hollow is. When she sees the injured she realizes she has to keep it alive to preserve the balance (as someone mentioned) and so quickly seals it in the only newborn baby, her baby. Then proceeds to lead the hollow away from the village because its to powerful for her to beat.

So she hurriedly leaves, but the hollows presence attracts others and the Ninja world is suddenly interesting to hollows, making more shinigami go to said world and causing them to investigate it. Thus Yoruichi can't go because if the activity and Soi Fong is kept away because of the investigation.

I know this is mostly random, and freely admit I have little knowledge of either character or series, but I think the point of this thread is to help inspire SoftRogue, not go of on tangents. But, since my idea is mostly if not all junk :huh.: I have no real clue. Good story concept before it got swept up though.

Finding a hollow that can actually hurt a captain level shinigami would be difficult. I don't think Yoruichi bothers with her restrictions anymore. Soi Fong would have them though. They are still probably strong enough to be the shit out of anything on their own though. If it was a menos grande or something, that might work.

encounter a lone Arrancar or Vastro Lorde? :huh.: :huh.: though as to why one would be in that area is beyond me at the moment

The main point of my idea was to try and inspire someone to help further the story. I fully understand that my idea is incomplete and I don't know enough about either series to appropriately place it, but SoftRogue is a talented author and I would like to see this story completed. As such I felt that tossing an idea out, useful or otherwise couldn't cause any harm. :huh.:

GH probably knows the most about Bleach, so he can probably supply the input on that. I've read most of it, but that was a while ago and I have a hard time remembering most of the names.

Thinking about this thread ended up with considering Female!Ichigo as Naruto's mom. Does that mean I'm insane or that I belong in this forum?
Dude, you're in the forum that spawned Pretty Magical Transexual, Aunt Keitaro!

You are totally normal.

...or what passes for normalcy around here, at any rate. :snigger:
To misquote Anko, from a fic I read recently: "We're fanfic writers; we leave normalcy at the door."

I don't really have a choice here; I just recently got into Bleach (up to the start of the Soul Society arc) so everything I know comes from fics and wiki (which is taken with a grain of salt... make that a pound).

They both have great potential. But I have to say, Soi Fong putting Sakura in her place totally ruled. Bitch had it coming.
