You can say whatever you want about The Rock as a wrestler, but the guy does know how to hilariously overact and turn the hamminess up to 11.

Granted he's no BRIAN BLESSED, but nobody except BRIAN BLESSED is BRIAN BLESSED. The Rock's Ham-O-Meter goes up to 11, Blessed's goes up to infinite, then wraps around and starts all over again. I had no idea what Large Ham truly meant until I saw him perform, and I'm told I'm losing out on most of it by not hearing.

When someone comes across as a gigantic ham to a deaf person and then you tell me he's even hammier when you can hear the way he says his already-hammy stuff, you know you reached the pinnacle of your trade. :snigger:

Actually, what impressed me the most about Dwayne is that while he can ham it up like fuck, he can also do comedy, and he can do drama. The guy can genuinely really act, not just Hulk Hogan act.

Sadly, casting directors see 'ex-wrestler' and never give him anything to work with. Movies like 'Be Cool' and 'The Rundown' (yes, the Rundown -- his part had a lot more range in that movie than you'd expect) are few and far between for him.

BRIAN BLESSED has a TROMBE! quality to his voice.

You can imagine just how many conversations he's interrupted just by walking into a room and greeting people with variations of "GOOD EVENING EVERYBODY!".

I'm interested in the fact that Cobra Commander's there rocking the silvered face plate and blue outfit and looking fucking awesome. Oh, and that the plot from the end of the last film seems to be kept with Cobra's president Zartan taking over the country.

I don't suppose it occurred to anyone that successfully replacing the POTUS would pretty much guarantee victory?

This. Compared to every other wrestler-turned-actor, the Rock is a legit movie star with a future.

And the remix of Seven Nation army is fucking awesome.

Edit: Never mind I looked it up myself. Still don't remember her though.

<a href='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jinx_(G.I._Joe)' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Jinx</a>

Edit2: IMDB shows no sign of cobra Commander.

Which is weird. Because he's clearly there in the trailer. A silver faceplate helmet and a blue outfit. Iconic Cobra commander basically. From 0:59 to 1:03. And he's clearly in charge.

Or a cobra Storm trooper being given orders.

The film will feature the G.I. Joe Team coming into a conflict with Zartan, Storm Shadow and Firefly all serving under the newly released Cobra Commander. Zartan (who is last seen in disguise as the President of the United States) frames all G.I. Joe operatives as traitors and wipes most of them out in a sneak attack, leaving only Roadblock, Snake Eyes, Flint, Duke and Lady Jaye. Zartan now has all the world leaders under Cobra's control, with warheads headed towards innocent populaces. Badly beaten, out numbered, and outgunned the Joes make a desperate plan to expose the truth and stop Cobra from taking over the world.[3]

Also, as to that being a Cobra storm trooper, no. Just no. Let's go by this step by step and show why from what we can see from only seconds in the trailer.

First we see a panned out view, where Cobra Commander is standing on the exact middle of the walkway, overlooking everything, as Zartan walks up to stand to the left of him, with Firefly standing in a relaxed pose to his right as miscellaneous soldiers are in the background, dressed COMPLETELY different from Cobra Commander.

Then ti cuts to the side with side of Cobra Commander with Firefly, the camera showing Cobra Commander in the forefront and it angled down from him to firefly, which is a classic cinematic trick to show authority or power.

Then Cobra Commander tilts his head and it switches view to Cobra Commander presumably listening to Zartan who is talking.

Furthermore, let's look at his outfit, its a high quality material of a dark blue. He's got a faceplate with the rest of the helmet with details to make it look like a Cobra head, sort of a full headed version of IDW's original cobra commander design. Oh, and a red cobra symbol design on the helmet. He's also standing in the exact middle of the room and the two people seem to be deferring to him.

So, let's add up the facts. We have someone in a blue outfit and a silvered face-plated helmet, which in GI Joe only was on two things: Cobra Vipers or Cobra Commander, were it not for the outfit not being of a soldier. He seems like he's probably in charge due to positioning, cinematics, and common knowledge. Oh, and Zartan has taken over the USA (and probably world) and his boss is Cobra Commander.

TL;DR, he's probably cobra commander because he's got all of the iconic Cobra Commander elements and seems to be in control.

Okay okay I get it. Just find it weird that he's not listed anywhere in the IMDB list.

anyway. <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObdlLp7gkYA' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Rurouni Kenshin</a> looks fucking awesome.

That it does, that it does.

That reminds me, I should look into picking up a copy of 13 Assassins at some point.

Never watched Phoenix Wright, and I don't speak Japanese, so I don't know if that's a good adaptation or not.
