I'm now curious what her deal is. She says she's immortal and inviolate because of Love? How's that work? Also the fact that Eva is not strictly speaking a Vampire so much as a magical experiment on the part of the Life Maker and what that means for Touta is something I'm wondering about.

I think the idea is that she wasn't 'cursed' with immortality, which would have been an act of hate, but she was given it as an act of love, probably by a god.
As for Eva, she 'is' a vampire, just one created by the Lifemaker through magic, rather than a deal with a high class demon, or being bitten by one.
She's just gotten so powerful she's lost most of the vampiric weaknesses.

Furthermore the power of "Magia Erebea" is implied to have been an inherent effect of Eva's "infection" that turned her into a Vampire, one which she refined into a new and powerful form of magic. It is at it's base a "something" the Life Maker created and implanted in her. Which means that Touta's transformation could do all kinds of "interesting things".
As such Touta potentially has the power of Magia Erebea sleeping within him, inherited from his grandfather and vampiric "Mother". We have seen his Konoe blood shine through in his skill with Ki. When we get into the "Magical" part of his blood inheritance it should be rather interesting.
In other words Touta could very well surprise the Immortal Hunters who think he is currently a non issue, or someone else down the line.

It's been awhile but I believe the translation was "oh so you were ably to us MY magic in such a way?" both to Negi and Evangeline.
Of course looking back that may have been a bad translation, after all it was done within a week of the release of that chapter.
But Touta is still Negi's grandkid, and Negi was not a true Vampire but a "Demonlike" existence warped by use of Magia Erebia. Even if he does not get it from Evangeline there is no telling what he has inherited from Negi, as we did not see "End Level" Negi. Given his growth rate the powers he had as an adult must have been truly impressive. Who knows what Touta has inherited from the Springfield side of his ancestry? Well other then a personality that from what we have seen is closer to the Thousand Master's then Negi's.

Oh I hope so, a Vampire with Holy attacks is just a wonderful idea.
All kidding aside I actually do hope that's what is going on here. In the next Lords of Shadow game, it appears (At present) that Gabriel Belmont is still the Lord's chosen (If I understood the dialogue) despite being Dracula. A dark champion tasked with stopping the machinations of satan....and something in me just finds that extremely interesting.
Oh I hope so, a Vampire with Holy attacks is just a wonderful idea.

1. Touta was actually tactically wise there, when he chose to retreat in order to give his comrade time to regen.
2. At this rate Touta is going to charm his little friend right of his/her pants....wait....
3. I'm getting old, I completely missed who the werewolf really was until the reveal, and I shouldn't have. Also, Touta is smarter than I first thought.
4. Two on two while Kuro saves the city...between Touta's power and Karin's abilities I honestly think they've got this.
5. Touta: "Everyone around me is a teacher to me."
Villains, kill him now, because if you let someone with that attitude and talent hang around a group of experienced immortals and fight increasingly tougher opponents you are going to have another Rakan on your hands.
Finally: Not sure what to make of Touta's brand of immortality. I think he's some kind of fusion of Vampire and Magia Ereba user...though the full potential is hard to see at this point.

I think he left it at the orphanage, this was a surprise attack after all.
And now we have a confirmation that he is using ME, but this looks completely different to Negi's and even Evangeline the one time she used it. But in the end this really confirms, he really is Negi's grandson, isn't he?
