Lol is right. By the way, Immolo, is being so damn nipticking and annoying as you can be sometimes on TFF... Is it natural or is it a learned skill? Because seriously, you always shoot comments like that left and right. Comments, that for some unfanthomable reason annoy me every time I read them. Every other sentence written by you ranges from faintly annoying to damn vexing.

Congrats. That takes true skill.

But don't listen to me, I just complain, whine and bitch. What the hell do I know?

It's not like I asked you to restrain yourself from such inane comments at least once.

Carry on, Immolo. Carry on.

Edit: And just to be fair, I'm so annoyed by Immolo's comments that I can't even be impartial when his posts aren't annoying/rude/judgmental/know-it-all and so on. Once again, congrats. That takes true, elite level of skill.
I was always wondering if it was me or not, but I see that it's not just me who is annoyed by Immolo most of the time.

His problem, I think, is that contrary to other people who I find annoying on the forum, he only snipes, makes nide comments and so on, instead of getting of his ass and writing a story. But then, that's only my take on it.

Oh my gosh...you just confirmed every word of the last five posts, Immolo. You just shot yourself in the metaphorical foot - how do you feel now? Better, or worse?

First off, comparing to your usual level of 'civility', Shikaze wasn't insulting you. Be that as it may, you could have handled it better. Not that I'm the one to talk. But ask yourself this, Immolo: just why the hell people are oh so insulting towards you? Maybe because you gave them a reason to be? Or several? It wasn't about that one post, or even the one before that. If it was, people wouldn't be so annoyed. This is TFF, Immolo, and you damn well know that people are pretty tolerant and easy going here. You complain about people insulting you? You earned it with your own posts.

Look, I'm not trying to judge, give advice or anything like that. It'd be pretty heh... hypocritical of me. B) It's just, this situation wasn't sparked by one or two posts. And you really have no right to bitch about people insulting you, consiidering the genral tone of your posts.

Be that as it may, I consider this matter closed. Over and done with.

This thread isn't for grievances, public or otherwise.

And since this is my thread, I do have some right to say what's what here. So I say this is over. Any one who wants to drag this topic further, do so elswhere.

Case closed.

Yeah, I'm about ready to call it quits too.

Now, to move back to the actual fic...

Fosfor, are we going to see little more depth as regards Ichigo's Hakkaten? Just how closely does it resemble Shunko? Can he use it simultaneously with zanjutsu techniques, or even with Getsuga Tenshou? What kind of footing does it put him on, in terms of power? Do Arrancar now cry for Aizen-taichou as soon as they see the red hair?

Enquiring minds (namely, me!) want to know. ^_^

Isn't Ichigo blond? :hmm: I'm pretty sure he is.

Hakkaten would be difficult to use with zanjutsu, but not impossible. Kido, on the other hand - flat out impossible. Hakkatan is like controlled explosin of reiatsu going near-constant through the body to surpass 'physical' limits. Yoruichi is about the only person aide from Ichigo capable of that right now. Ichigo because he is so dman outrageously powerful he can waste power as much as he likes, and Yoruichi since she is both outragously powerful and has conrol up the wazoo. Overall, it is slower than properly executed, full powered shunko. Far more limited and draining as well. But Ichigo cheats and simply overpowres it with Reiatsu, achieving roughly comparable result. Not that Hakkaten isn't an innovative and useful technique. It is just not as good as shunko. On th eother hand,it has one up on Shunko - it increases pure physical strength. So it is useful for something, aside from speed.

If he wants pure, useful speed, it's better for him to go Bankai, overall. But Hakkaten CAN be useful in some situations. It is especially useful for his masked form. THough highly unstable and tends to injure severly if he uses it too long in that form.

As for rest... Heh heh. Surprise. B)

That's certainly food for thought to keep me chewing for a while. Thank-you, Fosfor.

Ichigo's hair...well, manga is black and white, so red is just as likely as blonde. The anime is definitely leaning towards red, but blonde is fine too. ^_^

You call it blonde, I call it orange...

One color, two sets of eyes, they make a big difference.

Most people say it's orange because it's not as bright as blondes typically are in anime.

"Ichigo" = homonym for "strawberry" = strawberry blonde.

Also, bleaching hair turns it blonde. Series name pun. The Japanese love those wordplays, don't they?

All the good things said thus far, I agree with. More of what I like. The pairing of Chad with Isane is a good one; with her height, I'd bet she's always felt a little out-of-place among the women of Soul Society, and someone as out-of-place as Chad would definitely be something of a kindred spirit.

I noticed two things about Santen's character.

1) Chad is a man of few words. Santen is rather talkative. Chad is polite, Santen is a bit rude. This is yet another reinforcement of the idea that the spirits of Zanpakutou are aspects of the owner's soul given form, and some of them are aspects that don't come to light often.

2) One reading of "Yasutora" is "resting tiger". Chad finds Santen sunning himself in repose. How appropriate. ^_^

Well, Chad is quiet now.

In the flashback, we saw that Chad used to be somewhat of a bully. He might have also have been more talkative before he became like he currently is.

This suppressed nature might be represented by Santen.

Chapter 1 of the manga; page 4, third panel. It says it clearly:

Ichigo/ 15 years old
Hair color: Orange
Eye color : brown.
ocupation: student.

Ergo: Ichigo hair color: Orange.

Hey, does anybody have any idea for the summary for this? I'll be putting it on Ficwad and maybe ff.net but, as usual, I have no idea for summary. Any help in that matter would be appreciated.

dunno, i guess explaining the setup is necessary. I was thinking a bit like Star wars intro:

"A new hope"

It is a period of War. the Arrancar, striking from hueco mundo, have won their first victory over Soul society. No safe haven exists anymore, and every individual capable of grasping reiatsu has been recluited.

It's time to strike back...

----

Dunno if it would be enough for the strict summary constraints in FF.net.

Uh.. Sorry, but no. Doesn't fit. Any other takers?

The thing to remember is that as far as I can tell the only theme you've set up is that this is about what happened to the good gys. How they changed in the midst of a seemingly unwinnable war. Not one they're losing, just one that won't end. People have changed. We saw Keigo's insanity. We saw Yuzu a hardened scientist. We saw Chad become a fighter instead of a protecter. We saw relationships have formed. It all seems to about how these people changed. If there is any other theme I have yet to see it.

With what Zeebee just said:

War. It brings pain, death, and sadness. But it also comes with hope, and a chance for growth. This is the story of the Warborn.

Meh, doesn't look quite as good once I typed it...

Hmmm...

Just had this mental image of Isshin chasing around Ukitake for "molesting his precious daughter".

Well, either that or Isshin pulls a Lt. Colonel Hughes (FMA) with his wife's poster.
