How about the Digital Hazzard?

So he's basically MEGIDRAMON?

The Baddest MF Dragon in the Verse?
The Digital Hazard is no longer digital, obviously, but it and the Zero Unit (the thing on Culumon's head and Dukemon's Shield) both exist, yes.

Well, actually, Guile is a new born, who looks like this:

However, through an important part of the setting (the evolution equivalent), Takato turns him into that when ever shit gets real.

However, as a Dragon, yes, he's a badass. He's not the most badass, though; at least, not yet.

Hey Ryuugi, since you seem to know more about the To Aruverse rules I have a question. What is the point of the numbers after a magicians name? It always kinda bugged me.

Goblin and Lynx barely made it out of range in time. Well, itÆs more like they were spared, but they had no way of knowing that.

They were both on the ground, having literally lunged for safety. TheyÆd both broken down several walls just to get out in time. And now they looked at what had been Sheol Prison.

Now, it was just a crater; a perfect hemisphere that looked like someone had carefully cut it out of the world. It was an amazing feat; annihilating even such a small area without leaving even a trace behind.

But the impressiveness of the spell theyÆd only just escaped was not what they were focused on.

They knew what this meant.

ôMy, myàGleipnir is as impressive as legend tells.ö Archangel said, levitating towards the edge of the crater, solid land, and, most importantly, them.

Lynx and Goblin quickly lifted themselves to their feet.

This was bad. This was very, very bad.

ôLynx, stay calm.ö Goblin said, taking control even though it was obvious he was a scared as his partner. ôThat spell must have taken a huge amount of power. He had to take down the wards and seals and then destroy the entire area. Even if heÆs a superior opponent, the two of us are both fresh while heÆs used a great deal of power.ö

Archangel reached solid ground, allowing the partners to take a good look at them. He was basically unchanged. He still wore his prison garb; a tight, formfitting white outfight. It was tight enough that it must have been uncomfortable, but that was just a bonus; its main purpose was to make it obvious if he was hiding something underneath it. HeÆd been searched heavily prior to his imprisonment, butà

There was one change to it, though. The seals and ruins that had glowed upon it before were gone, leaving it a normal piece of cloth.

Other than that, he had only one other thing. The chains of Gleipnir were still wrapped around him tightly, though without anything to bind him too, they did little good.

ôMy Damnation erased all the seals, butàit seems even it couldnÆt break this chain. HmàI must admit; IÆm very impressed. The Wolf this was made for must have been something else, huh?ö Archangel said looking at them with calm eyes. ôButàno matter how strong the Chain; without anything to chain me to, itÆs worthless.ö

His deft hands slowly unwrapped the chain from his body, dropping loop after loop onto the ground.

ôI am not without mercy; IÆll give you until IÆm finished to prepare yourselves.ö He said, looking at the chain and ignoring them entirely.

Goblin and Lynx shared a glance, coming to a mutual agreement.

ôBakemono!ö Lynx cried, summoning his familiar.

Flames gathered in his hands, hand he immediately cast it to the earth. It spread with unnatural quickness, washing over the area like spilt water. Lynx consciously avoided his partner, sparing him from the flames.

Archangel, for his part, simply stood in the flames and ignored them. He continued to untie himself as if nothing was happening.

That didnÆt mean he wasnÆt paying attention, though.

The flames began to writhe, forming a skeleton of pure white flames. It was feline, based on the dentistry, skull structure, and tail; the fact that it was a vertebrate and bipedal helped narrow it down, but a lot of things fit both of those criteria.

Moments later, a musculature of red flames began to grow over the skeleton, settling only once it was completely covered. Finally, a hide of orange flame grew over it.

ArchangelÆs hands paused for a moment as he looked at the feline curiously. If, as he suspected, Lynx079 drew his name from his familiar, then it was probably also a lynx. Cat biology wasnÆt his specialty, so he couldnÆt say what that meant, if anything.

Magic, howeverà

ôYour familiar is a Bakeneko, a monster cat. ItÆs an animal spirit that belongs to the Category of æMonstrous Beasts.Æ Its aspect is Fire and its color is Red, much like yours. However, a Bakeneko shouldnÆt be able to manifest powers of this scale unless it was a member of the æMythic Beasts,Æ which yours is not. Therefore, it is able to manifest in this form because of you, Lynx. IÆm impressed, I must admit; I didnÆt think youÆd be able to do something like this. HmàyouÆve combined two of the Asian Systems with the European System? From a glance, IÆd say youÆre using the Chinese Elements in conjunction with the classical Japanese Shikigami, but using the European style of Elemental Manifestation. ThatÆs pretty complicated.ö Archangel said, quietly clapping. ôHoweveràcomplicated doesnÆt necessarily equal effective. Shall we put it to the test?ö

Lynx was unnerved by how his entire spell was instantly dissected, but he had no intention of starting something if their opponent was literally giving them time to prepare.

Archangel noticed that and simply smiled. He looked back to his chains and continued to remove them as the pair went back to preparing.

ôGoblin.ö 033 spoke.

His display was less visually impressive; he summoned a clear substance, ectoplasm, and animated it with magic. It quickly formed itself into a small green creature with faded brown clothing and a large but simple club. It was the traditional British familiar summoning.

Boring, yet practical, Archangel noted, a technique honed to perfection over about five hundred years.

The pair watched him with cautions eyes as he undid the last of the chain. They hadnÆt attacked yet only because they were still preparing; it was just less visible. They were probably aware that while Gleipnir was a powerful chain, it didnÆt restrain anything in its current situation; Archangel was simply removing an annoyance.

He dropped the chain to the ground and stretched, free in every way.

ôThatÆs better.ö He said, satisfied. ôYou guys ready?ö

That was apparently the signal, as both of the familiars immediately rushed him. The two magicians stayed back, but they were hurling spells; fireballs of various shapes and sizes flew towards him before he finished talking.

He smirked.

ôItÆs my turn, then. Guile!ö

The seals and ruins should be runes.

So next snip will be Enter the Dragon?

Kanzaki has a 000 after her name so the lower the number is the better I guess?

Edit: And you know what? That beak on the dragon bothers me. I prefer Dragons without beaks.

ôBakemono!ö Lynx cried, summoning his familiar.
Shouldn't "Bakemono" be "Bakeneko"? IIRC Bakemono means "monster" while "Bakeneko" is a type of monster.

Well, honestly, I originally intended to use Hellkite Overlord, because I prefered it to the Ancient (both in appearance and card stats):

However, then I saw a closeup of it's face:

But as long as I forget the close up, I still like the Overlord better. I might use that instead.

They didnÆt even have a chance to react. One moment the air was filled with spells and their familiars were charging the escaped prisoner and the nextà

The spells impacted harmlessly upon the scales of that great beast. In his jaws hung the limp remains of the Goblin, impaled on teeth like spears. Crushed beneath a red, clawed hand, the sparks that were all that remained of the Nekomata quickly died.

They hadnÆt even seen him move. No, they hadnÆt even seen him form!

And now it towered over them. TheyÆd heard rumors, of course; everyone had. But there was no proof, only scattered reports and hearsay.

TheyÆd never thought it was actually true.

He had a Dragon for a familiar. A Dragon; the greatest of all Magical Beasts. Among the Four Categories, they belonged to the Divine Class. A creature that could generate magic simply by drawing breath.

And the monster that held its reigns.

æDragon Tamer.Æ

Butàhow? Even if he could tame a Dragon, it didnÆt make sense.

Divine Beast or not, a Phantasm is a æFantasy.Æ A creature that is impossible under the laws of this world. Their existence is nothing more than a body of magic. Given reason by concept and purpose, they still didnÆt exist in the physical world. They could not be seen or touched under normal circumstances. In order to give them form, a body must be created for them.

And it couldnÆt simply be any body. It needed two things; familiarity and a bond to hold it to this world. A contract between a Familiar and a Magician can account for the latter, but a Dragon cannot be a kitten and a kitten cannot be a Dragon.

But beyond those two basically rules, there is an even more basic rule. In order for a Phantasm to inhabit a body, a body must be there to inhabit. That body had to be built at some point, whether with ectoplasm or matter; it didnÆt just come from nowhere.

ôThe DragonÆs Gate.ö Archangel said. ôYouÆve heard of it, right? A form of summoning that bypasses the construction phase entirelyàquite a useful technique, no?ö

Goblin narrowed his eyes.

ôMaybe, but thereÆs a reason itÆs not used. It makes summoning easier, but in return, the summoner forfeits all control over the summon. At that point, whether it kills the summoner or not is entirely up to it; you have no say in the matter.ö

Lynx looked at his partner in alarm while Archangel merely smiled wider, laying a hand on his partnerÆs scales. The Dragon made a sound between a purr and a hiss.

ôBind him? Now why would I do that?ö He wondered. ôI have never bound Guile to my will. Ours is a partnership, you see.ö

Archangel tilted his head to the side, cracking his neck.

ôBut reallyàis that all youÆve got?ö He asked. ôGuile and I have been away from each other for a long time; we have some catching up to do. So if you wanna run, I donÆt mind.ö

Goblin and Lynx looked at each other and came to a silent agreement.

If they stayed, theyÆd probably die. Butà

If they ran, they definitely would. And even if they were burnt alive in Dragon Fire, it would still be preferable to the fate that awaited them for a failure of this magnitude.

Archangel closed his eyes and his smile changed slightly. It was almostàcompassionate.

ôI thought not.ö

ôFuuki Ogre!ö The partners cried in unison, summoning their familiars once more.

So the Dragon's Gate just lets Guile come from whatever world he was in directly into the one Archangel is in, meagning that Guile's body is his actual one and not some puppet for his spirt to use?

Nah. The Dragon's Gate is the result of one of the greatest magical minds in history. He created a way to summon instantly using Numerology and Kabbalah, which involves translating the targets existence into numbers and inserting them into a formula which will, without fail, determine the exact specifics needed to create the summons body. This formula was then put into (well, it was already part of...) a translation array, which converted that information into something usable by an advanced summoning array.

It's pretty complicated, but once you get the numbers, the whole thing does the rest by itself.

The problem is, the binding placed on summoned spirits needs to be placed while they are in the process of summoning. The creator thought it wouldn't matter, because he figured it would all happen at normal speeds, allowing him to focus on the binding aspect.

In reality, it happened at something like 1% of c.

So, after nowhere near enough testing, he decided to ty something big and tried to summon a Dragon.

And he totally did.

No, I did not. Damn. The hardest part about writing this story so far is remembering not to write the name Takato. God, I can't wait to get to the scene where I can switch names. I'll fix it in a bit.
