Here's my guy.

Name: Mikazeno Tetsuya (Steel man of the Southern Winds)
Division: 2nd
Rank: Unseated
Age: mid-twenties in appearance
Bio: Tetsuya doesn't care to be noticed. His sole purpose as a shinigami of the 2nd is to protect and serve Soi Fon and those she cares about.

He comes from the 68th District. While not a 'bad' part of Rukongai, its not a nobles area either. People in that district do what needs to be done, no more, no less.

Specialty: Zanjutsu/Kido. If he has one true ambition, its winding a way to merge these to into a fighting style like Soi Fon and Yoruichi did with Shunko.

Zankaputo: Kanpuu no Hoko (Cold Wind of the North)
Type: Ice
Shikai: "Chill them to their cores, Kanpuu no Hoko!"
Released form: Turns blue, while a the hilt extends and a second blade comes out, forming a double sided blade.
Attacks: When he swings his blade, a powerful gust of icy winds hurls at the opponent, which can both freeze and send them flying. If he spins the sword around his head, he can create a small (realtively, this is Bleach afterall ;) ) ice funnel that he can then fling like a shuriken.
Bankai: Not yet reached. He's worried that if he achieves it, he'd be forced out of the Second. He doesn't want Soi Fon's love, he just wants to serve her.

Personality: He sticks to himself, but enjoys the company of others. Not antisocial, just private.
Hair: Grey
Eyes: Grey
Special features: A scar above his left eyebrow, earned in a battle against a hollow that tried to catch Soi Fon from behind.

That's all I got right now.

This is getting pretty fun!
Name: Akahoshi Kazuki
Akahoshi comes out as Crimson Star, or Red Star. Kazuki comes out as brilliance...I think.

2nd division-Seventh seat

Zanpakuto-Kaisaku Kaze (Cutting Wind)
Manifestation- A young girl with silver hair and green eyes, wearing a simple blue kimono. She tends to be cheerful, and likes to tease Kazuki.

When Kazuki graduated from the academy, he entered the Thirteenth division. After serving there, he decided to transfer to the 8th, because he heard that the captain was really lax when it came to paperwork. Unfortunately, while his request was being processed, Kenpachi had to drop off some reports. While Yachiru was waiting for the office staff to stop shaking and take the reports from Kenpachi's hand, she wandered off and decided to 'help' to make things go faster. A short misfile later, and Kazuki now works for Soi Fong. Since Kazuki now has a long tour of duty in the second division to go through, he's trained himself up a bit and has even gotten to know his Zanpakuto better too.

Zanpukuto release command- Kire, Kaisaku Kaze! ( Slice, Cutting Wind! )

In her sealed state, Kaisaku Kaze is a Kodachi with blue hilt wrappings and a small silver tassle. To release her, Kazuki holds her in one hand and says "Kire Kaisaku Kaze!"
In her released state, Kaisaku Kaze is a blade mounted on his arm.look here
He can only use two of her abilities right now.
Kaze Kire (wind slice)
One is to actually 'cut' the wind, sending an invisible shockwave at an opponent, which cuts them upon hitting. This, while invisible, can be blocked, evaded, or just neutralized by high intensity reiatsu. (It might tickle Kenpachi). This can be charged up, but it may take a while and you can't swing the blade too hard, or the power will be released prematurely. This is called Dai Kaze Kire (Great Wind Slice)
Kaze Senrigan (wind Clairovoyance)
Her second ability is a support effect. Kaisaku Kaze 'feels' air currents, and can manipulate them a little. Here's an example. You try to sneak up and attack Kazuki from behind. Kaisaku Kaze senses you, alerts Kazuki, and blows wind against you, so you'll slow down buying Kazuki time to react. This can't actualy block attacks, but it can slow them down.
Bankai- Kazuki is, in his own words, "At least a century away from even knowing if I can draw out Kaisaku Kaze's Bankai".

Fighting Style- Kazuki knows Hakuda pretty well, since it's almost more involved with using Kaisaku Kaze than Zanjutsu. He's forgotten almost all the Incantations he knows for kido, except a healing one he picked up during a visit to the fourth division infirmary. He can't use Shunpo a lot, but he can use it very precisely. His strategy for fight hollows he's got the drop on, is to shunpo in close, and attack their heads. If he doesn't hev the element of surprise, or just needs to catch his breath before using shunpo again, he'll use Kaze Kire on them. If THAT doesn't work, he'll go on the defensive while charging up a Dai Kaze Kire, and release it at point blank range.

Personality- Kazuki is quiet, but enjoys the presence of people around him. He comes across as anti-social unless he decides he likes you. Then he'll talk to you a bit more informaly, and a lot more talking will occur. He likes being lazy, and tends to put things of untill the last minute. Not a lot of things bother him, but if he doesn't like you, and you invade his personal space, watch out!

appearance-5'11" with short blond hair. He has green eyes, and is really skinny. Since his captain also heads up the Special Forces, he was able to request one of their uniforms( It's pretty much a ninja outfit). He takes off the mask though, because he can't breathe through it. He wears it because it's much less baggy then the traditional uniforms, and makes it easier to use Kaisaku no Kaze. She thinks it looks good on him too.

Well, I've written a lot of bios for OCs for my friend's RPGs, so I'll give this a shot.

Name: Enkidu Shiina
Gender: Female
Division and Rank: 5th Division, 7th Seat (Temporary Captain)
Zanpakuto: Kamaitachi (Cut caused by a Whirlwind) It's a regular katana with a crescent-moon shaped guard in it's sealed form.
Shikai: "Sundan, Kamaitachi!" (Cut to pieces, Kamaitachi!). This command turns her zanpakuto into a scythe. Its special ability is to boost her speed by manipulating the air molecules around her, lowering and raising her friction as needed. This also allows her to enhance the damage caused by the weapon by adding an air blade to her scythe edge. While it took her years to fully master it, she can boost her speed and the precision of her shunpo to levels previously only reached by Yoruichi, the Goddess of Flash-Step. However, she still has much to learn.
Bankai: Shiina has not yet achieved bankai, but she has been working furiously at attaining it practically from the moment she left the academy.

Kamaitachi appears to her in the form of a weasel, and says that someday she may rival the Goddess of Flashsteps, Yoruichi... But she is not ready.

Appearance: A medium-height, athletically built young woman with lightly tanned skin, long brown hair done up in a loose ponytail with a green ribbon, and cool brown eyes. She wears black, sleeveless gloves to handle her shikai, and always has a few bandages on various parts of her body (cheek, arms, legs) as the use of her shikai always leaves small cuts on her.

History: Cocky, brash, and fun-loving, Shiina is one of many Shinigami to come from the 80th District of Rukongai. A reconnaissance and close-combat expert, she started out in the 11th Division, but soon transferred to 5th at Captain Aizen's personal request. She herself doesn't know, all she knows is that Captain Aizen chose her and she happily accepted, having a bit of hero worship for the handsome captain (though not as badly as Hinamori). It did not become apparent until later than Aizen had needed her abilities. He often sent her on courier missions and 'stealth training' exercises, using his own zanpakuto to adjust her senses to see what he wanted her to see. Through Shiina, he gathered massive amounts of intelligence on Soul Society he later used in his plan to obtain the Orb of Distortion.

Furious at being used, Shiina briefly considered leaving the 5th after Aizen's betrayal. However, with the Division's captain a traitor, and it's vice-captain a mental basket case, she stepped up and assumed unofficial command over the 5th. She has managed it's recovery, training, and logistical needs with 8th seat Umino Tsume, as the higher seats were specifically chosen by Aizen to be nearly ineffectual without him. Not to the extent that Hinamori was affected, but still nearly useless.

Her charismatic spirit and determined nature have endeared her to most of the Division's members, and she has sworn to lead them from the Aizen disaster to a brighter future.

Personality: Despite her beauty she has always considered herself "one of the boys", and only kept her hair long out of respect to her dead mother's wishes. Fun loving and brash, she enjoys training, eating, and parties. Rangiku Matsumoto is probably her best friend. However, she is somewhat insecure about anything to do with femininity, probably why she has not joined the Shinigami Women's Association.

Fighting Style: Shiina relies primarily on her high speed in battle, flash stepping with incredible and deadly precision through enemies and slashing them apart. She can very easily sow chaos in large enemy formations and her combat skills are focused on hit and fade attacks. Not that she can't hold her own going head to head with foes, but she rarely has to. Her main weakness is a near-total lack of talent in kido. She can perform the spells absolutely, positively required for graduation from the Shinigami academy but that's it, and they are so poorly powered she rarely bothers with them anyway. Shiina has learned how to minimize and even mask the sounds she makes while moving with her shikai's abilities, but as it requires a significant amount of reiatsu to do so it's only practical in situations where her opponent's reiatsu sensing ability is useless.

Name: Umino Tsume
Gender: Male
Division and Rank: 5th Division, 8th seat
Zanpakuto: Hogosha Kame (Means "Guardian Turtle"). A fairly standard katana with a turtle-shell shaped guard.
Shikai: "Genni kawa, Hogosha Kame!" (Harden your shell, Hogosha Kame!). Unusual among zanpakuto, Hogosha Kame turns into a large, dark green turtle-shell like shield. It has a few special abilities, the first being it's incredible strength-It cannot be broken, absorbing cero blasts and zanpakuto strikes with equal ease. It appears to work by absorbing the force of anything thrown at it with it's own and Tsume's reiatsu, and redirects some of the force into a pocket dimension, while using the rest to reinforce itself. Tsume has also demonstrated that Hogosha Kame can make for a powerful offensive weapon, learning how to manually redirect some of the absorbed energy to hit enemies with the shield and do more damage.
Bankai: Tsume has only recently begun working on achieving bankai, as it took decades for him to even achieve shikai. However, Hogosha Kame has revealed herself in a few dreams to Tsume, taking the form of a gigantic sea turtle and saying she will appear to him soon.

Appearance: Tall, lanky young-appearing man with messy, short brown hair, green eyes, and thin-rimmed glasses. Rather unassuming looking.

History: Coming from a middle-class family in Rukongai, Tsume originally has been in the 5th Division for most of his career as a shinigami. Well read and educated, he served as the Division's book keeper and took care of the filing system. It was assumed he was there simply to stay out of the way, as everyone else in his graduating class had achieved shikai well before him.

It was not until he was promoted to 12th seat that he began going on Hollow extermination missions and started gaining some confidence, showing a keen tactical mind and cool head in battle. He achieved his shikai just in time to save a family of spirits, which earned him the promotion to 8th seat. During the Ryoka crisis, he fought several shinigami from the 11th, 9th, and 3rd divisions when civil war erupted, non-lethally defeating every attacker. In the wake of Aizen's betrayal, he has acted as the Division's second-in-command, trying to restore morale to the battered but unbroken division.

Personality: Determined, organized, but a bit spacey at times. Somewhat clumsy outside of battle and is constantly losing his glasses. Very intelligent but somewhat reclusive socially, and has mild obsessive-compulsive disorder. Has a massive crush on Enkidu Shiina.

Fighting Style: Often acting as a literal shield, Tsume's fighting style is heavily oriented towards the defensive, however his significant knowledge of kido and decent abilities in hand-to-hand combat allow him to hold his own and cover his allies at range. In close-range fighting he smashes, bashes, and slams his shield into his foes, knocking them back or senseless before finishing them off with a kido blast. He has been practicing with throwing his shield in combat, and while his aim is terrible his zanpakuto always comes back like a boomerang, letting him try again and again until he gets it right.

Name: Shiro Seto.

Division and Rank: 4th; unseated rank and file.

Bio: Almost a living paradox. While he has no capacity as a healer, he is in the 4th division for a simple reason; He is a liability in almost any other situation. What capacity for Kido he has is negated by his absolute disinterest in the subject. What enthusiasm he has for combat is offset by his lack of killer instinct. He'd be considered a 'gentle giant' if he wasn't so short. The only thing going for him is his workhorse work ethic and well above average intellect.

His Zanpakuto, on the other hand...

Name: Kagetora.

Spirit form: A great, big, bloody tiger. A savage, bloodthirsty mankiller with hardly a thought in its mind but to kill and eat its prey.

Sealed: As a sword, it is a simple work of craftsmanship. It is an odachi with an unetched golden blade. The hilt is black lacquer wrapped with black cloth tipped with black steel guard and cap. As a weapon it is almost useless, since it tends to buck like a bronco when it's unsheathed.

Shikai: Unsealed with the phrase, 'There is your prey, Kagetora,' it becomes a mass of liqueous metal that covers the body of its wielder, and consequentially, attempts to dominate control of their symbiotic form.

Bankai: Achieving Bankai is easy. Unachieving it is not. Where others have to subdue their Zanpakuto in order to realize their full power, Seto has to let his slip its leash. Kagetora then goes on a rampage as a golden wildcat, with only one caveat; They are still attached by their Chain of Fate.

This presents a mortal danger to them, as well as an effective weapon. He can, with his not-inconsiderable strength (born from constant struggle with Kagetora's previous forms), hurl the feline like a sizable wrecking ball. Not the kind of weapon one wants to use in the presence of allies, since Kagetora is an indiscriminate bundle of pure aggression.

For this reason, Seto is a prime candidate for hybridization. However, Seto is a brick wall, and will let Kagetora run free only up to a point, and no further. :headbanger:

I was actually working on the backstory for that.

I don't want to flood the topic too much, but it boils down to a loyalty to the division, more than Soi Fon. He's devoted to the 2nd, and to him, the captain is the embodiment of the 2nd.

He wished to pay back a debt to the second due to the previous captain saving his elder sister (maybe a plot point to pair his sister with a retired shinigami?). He pays the debt by protecting Soi Fon.

Thoughts?

Not bad at all. I do like the concept of him being loyal to his job above anything else.

How about Shiina's and Tsume's backstories? Too thin or just enough?

I like Shiina's, the only nitpick is the question about the 3rd and 4th seats. You mentioned that she's 5th, so where are they?

Tsume's is VERY good...I like the idea of him having problems getting OUT of bankai rather than achieving it. Nice twist on the story, kinda like a reversed situation with Ikkaku and his Ryuumon Hozukimaru.

It's cool. :yay:

The 3rd and 4th seats were pretty much just Aizen groupies who fell apart without Aizen. Not as badly as Hinamori, but enough that Shiina had to take charge. She was charismatic enough to do so, and it is hard to argue with a woman who is so committed to combat she doesn't mind being cut by her zanpakuto's special ability.

Eh? He has trouble getting out of bankai? What do you mean?

In the "Things Shinigami are not allowed to do" thread, someone mentioned a rule that I'm too lazy to search out. Loosely, it was something along the line of "We don't care how cool it is or how badly you want it, you are NOT allowed to steal Wolfwood's Cross Punisher Shikai."

And frankly, the thought of Nicholas D Wolfwood as a shinigami, or at least with a zanpakuto is too cool to pass up.

I won't bother with bio or description, I just want to describe what he'd get.

Oh, FYI; EVERYONE speaks the same language in the afterlife, regardless of where they go. And so yes, Wolfwood could very likely get a Japanese-named sword and all, but as his only plot-based links to Japan are the fact that he's the intellectual property of a mangaka and that he likes Udon...nope. Not going to bother.

Zanpakuto: Chapel the Punisher.
Shikai Command: Topple the kings, break the thrones.

In its unreleased state, Chapel is a fairly ordinary claymore; roughly five foot from tip to pommel, with a long, wide, tapered double-edged blade just under four feet long, the wheel-pommeled hilt designed for two hands.

Released... :evil2: :evil2: :evil2:

Chapel the Punisher is a celtic cross (e.g, a fairly ordinary cross with a circle in the middle with an edge roughly half as long as the arms of the cross), exactly two meters long and one meter wide. Seemingly forged out of charcoal-gray wrought iron, it's still just as hard, if not harder than steel. Down the long 'leg' of the cross is embossed an image of a simple sword traced in what looks disturbingly like an old blood stain. The celtic circle is embossed to resemble a sort of stylized crown, while the top 'limb' of the cross and the arms hold a large, archaic set of scales in relief.

Regardless of the form, Chapel is similar in some ways to Kenpachi's eye patch; it's constantly draining his reiatsu, giving Wolfwood at first glance a presence somewhere in the neighborhood of Hanataro Yamada...if he'd been sick with pneumonia for the last few weeks, and still was, and was just desperately dragging himself to the bathroom in a feeble battle with his own bowels, the prize being his continuing somewhat-battered dignity...

Ahem. Anyway, you get the picture. (And oh, the LOOKS on their faces when they find out the truth...) :evil2: :evil2: :evil2:

The reason for that is simple; nobody in Seireitei makes bullets, so he's got to make them himself. Chapel transforms every erg of power he gives off into a stable, self-contained, elongated mass of power that either A - packs the impact equivalent of a spiritual 30mm anti-tank gun or B - explodes on impact with a concussive force somewhere in the neighborhood of a Sidewinder missile.

It can vary depending on how much damage he's taken in the past few hours, but it typically takes about 15 minutes worth of drain to form a bullet, and roughly two hours to make a bomb. At maximum, Chapel can contain enough energy to fire 3,000 rounds or contain 15 missiles.

Bankai: TBC...

Sincerest apologies for the necro but i really wanted to post here, this idea has been bugging me for a long time and its nice to get it out.

Name: Shimizu Jirou

Gender: Male

Division and Rank: 8th Divison 7th Seat

Zanpakuto: Keiosu (Lit. Chaos). male

Shikai: The release phrase for Keiosu is quite simple ôSeishi Keiosu.ö (ôControl Chaos.ö) JirouÆs shi-kai is almost specifically suited to his use of Kido. It creates a number of unbreakable mirrors (the images in the mirrors are of a hellish almost demonic storm) depending on JirouÆs perceived difficulty of the fight (Max 5). These mirrors are simple circular mirror about two feet in diameter and their position is controlled by Jirou. When any Kido cast by him hits those mirrors it is absorbed, multiplied several times and shot out randomly back onto the battlefield. The only restriction on the direction of the new Kido is that they will never hit Jirou even if he is on the move, thus the release phrase ôControl.ö

Jirou Has no Ban-kai but I came up with this and thought it would be pretty cool.

Arashi no Keiosu (Tempest of Chaos)

JirouÆs Ban-kai is essentially what it states, the control that was exerted in his shi-kai has been released and all hell breaks loose. The mirrors of KeiosuÆs shi-kai spin wildly after JirouÆs cry of Ban-kai and then shatter releasing the chaotic storm they held back. A dome forms similar to (ByakuyaÆs Annihilation Zone) and the combatants are trapped.

Arashi no Keiosu is quite similar to its initial release but with some extra perks. Rather than needing to hit the mirrors with his Kido Jirou need only not hit the ground. The entire dome surrounding the combatants has the same effect as the mirrors but intensified, the Kido spells are not only multiplied more but their strength is intensified significantly and any reflected spells that hit the dome, at JirouÆs will, can be reflected a second time (though not anymore because that would be broken). Along with the Kido enhancements the chaotic storm is raging for the duration of the fight making lightening a very real danger as well as debris being whipped around by the storm winds.

It must be noted however while using his Ban-kai Jirou goes under a substantial personality change. Rather than his normally cold and composed self he is slightly manic seeking to utterly and completely destroy his enemy, often laughing maniacally while watching his opponent try and dodge the storm and his Kido.

Note: Jirou has the potential for Ban-kai but has not been willing to attempt it because of the requirements. Rather than subjugate his swordÆs chaotic nature he must embrace it and learn to accept that part of himself.

Appearance: About 5Æ6ö fairly lanky with short light brown hair. Quite pale to his unvoiced annoyance with dull green eyes. No facial hair to speak of. He is quite strict with his uniform however and is always in proper attire when on duty.

Personality: Similar to the Second Division Captain in his no-nonsense attitude but the stick up his but isnÆt shoved up quite as high as SoifonÆs. Jirou takes his job quite seriously and is often disappointed in his Captain, and sympathetic to his vice-captainÆs plight. He looks up to Vice-Captain Ise not only as a superior but because of her excellent work ethic and professionalism even in the face of their lazy captain. He also respects for Himamori Momo for her impeccable Kido skills.

Fighting Method: As was probably made quite clear Jirou is primarily a Kido user and is quite competent in that regard. Although not delving to deep into the engineering of his own Kido like Hinamori, he is efficient and brutal with his spell use, often favoring Hadou 4: Byakurai in conjunction with his Shi-kai causing impressive destruction. His spell repertoire however is quite varied allowing his excellent situational awareness to choose the right spell for the right fight. Because of his Kido focus and its acknowledged downsides in close range combat Jirou has trained mercilessly on Hoh? to overcome his chosen specialtyÆs weakness.

Name: Gar Renge

Division 11th-14th Seat

Zanpakuto: Liu Chu

Manifistation: Liu Chu is loud and abrupt. He says what is on his mind with no subtlety.(At All)
His weapon of choice when alive was a Katana so he was a little surprised when his Zanpakuto turned out to be sword breakers. He is one of the few shinigami with 2 weapons as a Zanpakuto.

Release command. Break their fighting spirit, and shatter their souls.
Shikai: his Sword-breakers density becomes that of diamond and a strengthening effect is put on Gar so he is far more able to shatter the weapons of his opponents.

Fighting style: Pure strength He is slow compared to other seated officers but he is nearing mid-level vice captains in pure strength. he has almost no talent for kido he is barely out of the 20's, tho he has been in SS for almost 300 years. This means that he has focused almost exclusively on the sword arts. His Pain tolerance is through the roof because he likes to hit-trade with his opponents. This also means that the fourth division hates his spars because although his stamina and pain tolerance is through the roof it also means that he is usually almost as damaged as his opponent at the end of it. this means that They have to do nearly 2wice the work for one spar.

Personality: The typical strongman, fighter, and brawler. He loves to fight and is not hesitant about it. Gar has almost no friends outside of the 11 division because of his almost single mindedness to fighting, and getting stronger.

Manifestation: A tall, humanoid figure with bestial features, goat horns, and goat hair covering his entire body. Krampus is a rather single-minded zanpakuto who is bored when Kaspar is not hunting, eating, or making love (which has led Kaspar into some embarrassing situations).

Sealed State: Krampus appears as any other zanpakuto, a normal sword.

Shikai release: Phrase: Wilde Jagd (Wild Hunt) Krampus becomes a six foot (roughly 183 cm) long boar spear. Upon piercing the targets body it releases an explosive burst from the spear head directly into the target, generally resulting in enough damage to destroy a normal hollow.

Bankai form: Unknown, and it does not appear likely to happen anytime soon although recent events have spurred Kaspar to obtain it.

Personality: A hunter in the 19th century Kaspar was a devote Lutheran and able hunter who fell to his death in the mountains while hunting a stag. After being sent to Soul Society he was very confused to find that it had little similarity to the heaven he had been expecting. He has had a difficult time reconciling Soul Society with Christian teachings, notably spending several decades convinced that he was in purgatory. Ultimately he has decided to ignore theological difficulties in favor of returning to the hunt this time focusing on Hollows, a view that his fellow Shinigami feel is better than claiming that all food offered is a temptation of the devil. Outside of this he is a generally pleasant if reclusive individual. For most of his time in Soul Society he idolized Tousen as a man who was utterly committed to justice, and was devastated when his treachery became apparent. He narrowly avoided another crisis of faith following Tousen's defection by deciding that if Hisagi or one of the captain's could not kill Tousen then he would do so himself.

Combat abilities: He is uneasy with kido, feeling it is dangerously close to witchcraft and prefers to focus his attention on healing methods. His skill in shunpo is much greater, though still nowhere near a captains. His skill with zanpakuto is the strongest of the three. In battle he prefers to hide his presence until he can kill the target with a strike to the head, if this is impossible he targets limbs and weapons until the target is helpless.

Chose German randomly as I didn't want Japanese or North American. Kaspar is from Der Freischutz, Bismark is the German politician I respect most, Krampus are creatures of folklore that accompany Saint Nicholas, Boar spears because I needed an old hunting weapon, and Christianity because I've always wondered exactly how you reconcile people of an enormous number of contradictory beliefs with Soul Society.
