Why is it that whenever the good Steam deals come up, I either am: 1. away from my PC until the sale is over, or 2. I don't have the money to buy any games, even when they are on sale.

I have the money to buy them, I just lack the time to play them.

Humble Bundle is pretty nice this month. XCom Enemy Unknown, the Bureau, all three Bioshock games, Mafia 2, Spec Ops The Line, Darkness 2, and something that hasn't been announced yet.

Bioshock and XCom are in a $20 package, the second tier with Bioshock 2, Spec Ops, and Mafia 2 is currently $6.87.

Pity. It's all either stuff I already have or don't really want.

Same here. That happens to me a lot, but it's a great deal for someone who hasn't gotten some of these games yet.

Humble Bundle is particularly epic this month. Square Enix this time and a great list of games.

Any price tier is Thief Gold, Daikatana, Mini Ninjas, Anachronox, Hitman: Codename 47, Hitman 2.

$7.33+ Nets Deus Ex Invisible War, Deus Ex The fall, Hitmal Absolution, Nosgoth Vet Pack, Battlestations Midway, and some as yet undisclosed other titles.

$14.99 includes Deus Ex HR Director's Cut, Just Cause 2, Laura Croft GOL, Deus Ex, and Kane and Lynch 2.

The only turkey of the bunch is Kane and Lynch, everything else is at least playable with several titles being most excellent games. I've not played Deus Ex the Fall yet, so I can't comment there.

Still, the three Deus Ex games alone are worth $15. Just Cause 2 and the Hitman games are fun as well, plus a couple of decent first person RPGs with Anachronox and Daikatana. If you don't have these games, or if you're even just missing a few of them, this month is a great bundle.

Humble Bundle's Weekly sale is decent this week. It has seven games from Japanese devs for $10. All can be downloaded through Steam or DRM free direct downloads.

Ys Origin, Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae, PixelJunk Shooter, Unholy heights, One Way Heroics, Gigantic Army, and Astebreed.

Ys, PixelJunk Snooter, Gigantic Army, and Astebreed are the standouts here. Astebreed is a bullet hell type shooter, Gigantic Army is a side scrolling contra type side scroller, and PixelJunk is an exploration type shooter that has you collecting lost scientists ala Defender.

There rest are novelties that aren't too bad, Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae is an arena type hack and slash game without much depth, Unholy heights is a weird and quirky mix of an apartment management game and a tower defense title, and One Way Heroics is a grid based roguelike RPG where every move you make moves the screen to the right a little and you've got to keep ahead of it to survive.

It's worth checking out for the price.

EA has a decent Humble Deal going on. You can get Dragon Age and Dragon Age II, along with a Medal of Honor Allied Assault Warchest pack, Command and Conquer: Generals, Dead Space 2, Mass Effect 2, Bejeweled 3, Peggle, Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare, and some as yet unannounced games all for less than $5.

I nabbed it myself because it has a few games that interested me. Dragon Age II on PC for example, as well as the casual games Peggle, Bejeweled, and PvsZ GW.

Half of it is games I don't want, and the other half is games I already own. Go figure.

I figured that for most people here. However, it's a good way to get a couple of them for cheap if someone doesn't have them. $5 is worth it for most of the games there even if someone only wants one of them. It might have bumped up a little price wise because it's an average, but it's definitely still well under $10 and worth it for a single copy of some of what is there.

Like I said, I got it mostly for DA2 on PC, which I didn't have. I've got it on Xbox 360.

I also like casual time wasting games like Peggle and Bejeweled sometimes. I'll blow an hour or so on something like that occasionally.

Most of the stuff I either already have or didn't care about. I already gave the keys for duplicates away to family.

If you don't have Generals already, I recommend it. I had a lot of fun with it, and it's probably the last good C&C game.

The Endless Games are this weekend's sale. Space and Legend are 4X games, Dungeons of is a roguelike. Space I don't care much for, but Legend is fantastic. It's in ongoing development which means it gets patches and updates fairly regularly, its first expansion is due next month, it's gorgeous, the factions are functionally distinct, and the game flow is amazing.

So for those who got the humble origin bundle. Have you gotten your keys yet? I haven't received an email with keys, and it's been a week.

EDIT: And nevermind. For some reason they were getting sent straight to my trash folder.

You can pick up most of the Might and Magic titles for $15 bucks in the current Humble Bundle, plus some DLC for X. More to be unlocked later outside of what is currently there. Includes Dark Messiah as well, for action RPG fans in the [currently] $12 tier. Also has the Heroes games for strategy fans.
