Naruto Boruto 001+ - Manga discussion

Kiba's cad is Uncommon and apparently quite good for it.

But Akamaru's is better and more rare!

Some news from the new chapter:

Sasuke(SSR) is known as "Supporting Shadow"(Ninja who supports the Hokage) in the Ninja Card Game
Orochimaru(SSR) is still classified as Sound ninja and "Legendary Sannin". Sarada is unhappy about finding it.

There is an organization of people in black robes looking for those with marks like Boruto's, it's called Husk\Shekk(殻, kara)

Chapters out.

At last, we have something of a new villian! I can see where the plot is going now at least.

Tentou keeps having balls of steel.

Boss Mujina "knows well of Orochimaru's Cursed Seal". I'm going to understand it as a reference of the various subjects freed by Sasuke

My first thought was that a bunch of those prisoners weren't able to acclimate to regular life after months/years of experimentation and started using their special abilities to work in the criminal underworld.

Dagnabbit, Sasuke.

well, better than being lab subjects for life, I guess.

And it's arguable that is likely they were unsavoury people in first place.
Kidnapping thugs and means it's much less likely anybody will ever bother to look for them, or report their disappearance

Pity he wasn't so circumspect when he was back in Konoha.

Though maybe he just ran out of criminals.

Woah, important changes in this week's episode compared to the manga!

Meh, kind of a boring chapter. Whoopdedoo, Akatsuki mark 3 now exists. Forgive me if I fail to get too excited by this revelation. And it's kind of bullshit that the guy just brushes off a direct hit to his spine with rasengan like it was only a minor injury.

Anime be like:

And if Sakura had a nickname, it'd be The Blindspot. Because you can't see her coming even when you literally have eyes in the back of your head.

Isn't Doryuheki supposed to be a B-rank?

That said, love how the ending of episode #23 has Sarada being happy with her family.
(I'm SCARED of even thinking of checking up narusaku.com...)

Karatachi Kagura, Guide to Boruto's Group - A young genius ninja who works as Chojuro's aide. He desires peace for his village.

Hoshigaki Shisuma, Diehard Fighting Maniac - From the same clan as Hoshigaki Kisame. He yearns for the old days of "The Village of the Bloody Mist."

Quite the informative episode on the state of the world. And Kagura is Yagura's GRANDson.
I guess Yagura was really older than he did look.

Huh, seems I missed a chapter. Time to catch up.

This ninja scientific weaponry is getting pretty damn advanced and powerful. They've even reverse engineered the Preta Path now. I wonder if the development of this technology may have involved studying pieces of Asura Path left behind in Konoha after the battle with Pain?

Thankfully Boruto seems to be maturing and becoming less annoying. He still throws stupid tantrums, but at least he recognizes that he's being immature and unprofessional and is trying to improve his behavior.

I don't really understand why scientific ninja weaponry derived prosthetic limbs are being treated like some new revolutionary medical breakthrough. Prosthetic limbs based off of ninja puppets seem to have been around for a good while. And didn't Tsunade already perfect the art of cloning organic transplant limbs based off the Zetsu's biology and her grandfather's cells?

I'm surprised that Ao survived being blasted by the Ten-tails and became one of Katasuke's patients. And even more surprised that he's apparently joined forces with the new villainous team. I'm curious to see where they go with this.

Ninja Puppets parts as prosthetics weren't a thing in Naruto(not in the manga, at least)

For cloning, it's likely they managed to do it only with Zetsu\Hashirama cells, something you don't really want to mass-produce and give to every other guy like they are apparently doing with the Techno Ninja Weaponry technology.

Also, reference to the current anime arc with the School Trip to Hidden Mist.

Chiyo's right arm was a prosthetic, she had a chakra shield installed in it. And puppet prosthetics were kind of Sasori's thing, dude basically turned himself into a cyborg.

Gifs for all!

That's Kurosaki Raiga's unknown daughter, btw. Who was said to be killed by Naruto. And was last to have Kiba according to these guys?

Fun times.

It's likely a situation similar to the Blood Prison references in the novels: "Something Similar Happened Offscreen"

Still, awesome Salada fight.

Ugh, I really don't like what this anime has done with the Sharingan and the discussions about it just make it worse. While seeing fast movement and chakra are a given, Sarada's been able to copy multiple ninjutsu and cast genjutsu with just one tomoe which doesn't work for me.

If it was like the Byakugan, then sure, since that has all of the abilities from the start and just gets better with time. But we know that the Sharingan unlocks new abilities at each stage instead. What's the point of the tomoe evolution if you can have everything from the start? Might as well have have 3T Sharingan the default.

The wiki, for some reason, says that "All the Sharingan's abilities are available to the user from its earliest stage, but with greater development comes greater proficiency with those abilities" and cites this scene which basically shows the exact opposite as Sasuke gets new ability.

All my sighs.
