<a href='http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1746319/50/What_We_Make_of_It' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>What We Make of It</a> was "officially finished" yesterday. Even had a fourth wall moment from Zentrodie, something I used to only see with his omake/MST offerings.

That entire story was an oddball form start to finish. Almost a parody of harem stories, as well as power creep and crossovers.

I think the main reason he left it open was so he wouldn't have to deal with shinji's married life, as well as writing the bajillion lemons that are sure to come.

Still was enjoyable over all.

Decent writing, although gratuitous Japanese is starting to manifest itself (sometimes I think the author completely forgets that the word "yes" exists in the English language).

It's blatant SxA almost right out of the gate, but it's not the main focus of the story, at least it's not supposed to be. I can tell that the author wants the romance to compliment the story rather than drive it, but I'm not so sure that effort is wholly successful.

In any case, it's definitely worth at least a look. You should be able to figure out whether or not you want to read the whole thing by the end of Chapter 2.

Hmmm... just finished chapter 1.

I really want to do horrible things to this version of Misato...

Well... that and to the author... chapter 1 at least needs a good going over... lots of wrong words and wrong pronouns.

Maybe we will get lucky, and Shinji will leave them... doubtful though.

Hmmm... I've been noticing that IA Seldon aka Seldon Planner and a few other siilar pennames has been making a story called 'The Atheist God'.

Anyone know if it is any good? Or perhaps more important, if he seems serious enough about it to take it to the end?

My problem was I've liked some of his stories in the past, but in almost all cases he ends up amandoning them or even erasing them. Depressing, more so than even his stories.

Tried to read it and got to chapter 3 before I gave up on it. Wanted to like it but I just couldn't, combat units made of children are the most feared in the world, Rei is human and was raised on a military base until she was five, and a sixteen year old is a Colonel who threatened the Commander of NERV with a gun and got away with it.
