It would seem the entire site is down,

- feeds does not work,
- direct category links does not work,
- direct story links does not work
- main page does not work.

EDIT: Must have been a brief down time... seems like it came back

Mails too? Didn't get a notification since ~2 days.

Maybe that's the reason I'm not getting many reviews.....

The review system must be down. It must've been down for a while too...

Hmmm.... would not know about the mail alert or review subsystems... since I do not use either, preferring the feed system to the mail system.

I can say the feeds, category, and direct links have all been working.

FanFiction.NET may be having issues with the feed system today, but I think it is sporadic.

I say this as while I am seeing some updates... I am not seeing a lot.

For example, generally, the Just In Feed fills to it max of 50 every few minutes... but I just left it for 45 minuts and a refresh had 0 updates.

While I have a list of a few hundred authors, and many having tons of stories, and normally I see tons of flagged entries after even a 1/2 hour due to fact system flags feeds even if only a review is left... I had around 5 total after 45 minutes.

This may or may not be affecting the other systems, but I would say it likely the review system if nothing else is affected if I were to take a guess.

You only see the results of some major Database problem (since the feeds are only a extension of the website).

I got 5 Update and 4 New Story Arlets viq mail, but no new chapter could be found and the new stories didn't exists... yet.

Means the web-front end (and thus the XML Feeds) is frozen at a specific state of the Database. Guess we only can wait until the system is in sync again.

All the stories on the site seem to be center aligned, damn annoying to read. I hope this wasn't a deliberate choice.

I don't see this issue. Are you sure it's not a local problem?

Huh, that's odd...

I checked with another pc in the house and fanfiction.net was fine.

It only seems to be on my pc, and only the fanfiction.net website, any ideas what could cause this?

I'm rather clueless here.

***edit***

Just tried internet explorer on this pc, and that worked fine sooo, looks like somethings up with my firefox.

If this is what you mean by center aligned, then your solution is to hit "full" up there on the top right.
If not, I got nothing.

Check on the right side near the top, just above the chapter dropdown. There is a selection for paragraph width with the option Full, 3/4 and 1/2. Try selecting Full.

Well, it's not seeming to work - the page doesn't even seem to reload when I click any of those options (I tried 3/4 and 1/2 just to test it) so I guess its just me :blue: .

I'll switch to Internet explorer till I figure it out.

Thanks anyway guys.

Got it! :D

Thanks again!

There should be a way to remove multiple alerts damn it. DOing this shit one at a time is not helping.

Feed system is far more flexible as far as authors are concerned....

Regrettibly, they backed off on implementing the feed system at the story level. They originally claimed they were going to do it, but then changed their mind and said they may do so eventually.

Is anybody else coming up with an error message when they try to access pages? About 95% of the pages I open on ff.net is giving me errors (which ironically enough includes the support section on the forum).

As a test, I just accessed my profile page, my alerts page, one of my stories, and a couple random picks on my fave list. No hitches.

Weird.

Well, dunno why the errors happened but it seems to be fixed now.

Working fine for me currently, feeds and pages and author and story pages.

There is a line-break function in the Document Editor that is accessible when you upload a file. Use that. That is supported and will not be stripped out. I use that function in my uploads and so am not troubled by this at all.

Last time I used them... they got stripped out. They also look like shit. I'm also hearing from a friend that she's getting AV warnings on the site from the ad's again. That's why I moved my stuff to my own site... even if it is just a freehost, it *is* mine.

Though nobody reads it there anyway...

I use OoOoO as dividers. Impossible for them to strip that out. And Dartz, that is one obscenely long-ass chapter you got there...
