Ah, sounds easy enough, I guess.

Other than that, I'd probably import the game even if I can't understand a word of it other than hello, goodbye and yes and no.

Edit: I stand corrected, those flash games are sort of hard, if only because my wrist now hurts. Can't click too fast with the first one and my timing to get rid of the fire icons sucks for the second.

Oh well, practice makes perfect.

That artist sure does love his ass windows. Saber's got one too.
Is it just me or does the Rin in the drawing take lessons from Kiritsugu Emiya? Somehow I could imagine her shaping several of her gems into bullet shaped ones.

Choices:
1) I like you, Tamamo, but ...
2) I like Lani more, but ...
3) ... could I go and Save right now?

Choice 2 -->
Uhh, this is bad, Tamamo is crying ...

"N- no, I'm not gonna cry. Even if you feel that way, I'll still have the last laugh!"
"Because ... because ... because ... I'll be your First Wife!"
"Yup. It doesn't matter how you try to escape or what you do! We'll be together forever and ever!"

Choice 2 (cont'd) -->

"Not even the Tsumagari can break our bond!"
Incidentally, the Tsumagari is another name for the Sacred Sword Kusanagi, which slew the Yamato no Orochi in Japanese legend. A bond that can't be cut by it seems a little scary ...

Choice 3 -->

"Ah, I get it. Master is neither a Carnivore or a Herbivore."
(Note: In popular Japanese usage, "Carnivore" implies an aggressive personality, and "Herbivore" implies a passive personality.)
"Master isn't even an animal."
"He just consumes everything, and doesn't think about the consequences. In other words ... Master is an insect!"

Choice 3 (cont'd) -->

"Even though Master is basically like an insect, in essence, he's one of THOSE things."
Ahh. Alien invaders are what she's referring to, I assume. The kind in traditional SF that consumes humans and isn't intelligent enough to speak.
... I see. From the point of view of a chick, saying what I just did sounds like that ...
"So go and make your save already, then, Master ..."

Not completely translated because I was lazy, but you get the idea.

Have you seen the Archer Good End pic with him as Emiya Shirou before becoming a CG?

He's on Toyko tower with some dude wearing a black duster and carrying a sniper rifle.

I need to save it and post it here because it really would have been Kiritsigu mark two in another Artist's hands.

(Also, it makes a LOT of sense for Archer to be an expert marksman with firearms considering what time frame he lives in. You think he was going to kill a bunch of terrorists armed with guns and explosives with swords? Sure that would be bad assed, but not practical. And if Archer's anything it's practical.)

I feel a bit disappointed though that we only get to see 2 out of the supposedly 5 variations of Lu Bu's God Force. :(

That's thrice now that the Beserker class has robbed us of awesome due to loss of sanity! <_<

Hmm. A bit of <a href='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qiang_%28spear%29' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Wikipedia research</a> indicates the other three forms are probably a sword, a staff, and a spear.

Nah....that would be too simple and redundant. The first form of God Force (Halberd Force) is a chinese halberd aka <a href='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ji_(halberd)' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Ji</a>. Lu Bu's classic weapon in Romance of The 3 Kingdoms the Sky Piercer/Houtengeki was a Ji, and it already has elements of sword, spear and staff.

Since the Fate/Extra wiki entry says <a href='http://typemoon.wikia.com/wiki/God_Force' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>God Force</a> was created by Chen Gong based on the 6 armed Half Bull War God "Chi You"... it's more likely that the other forces are based on the weapons wielded by Chi You.

Chi You is usually depicted as holding multiple weapons like a War Axe, Spear, Shield, Scimitar, Bow & Arrows etc... some even have him wielding <a href='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wind_and_fire_wheels' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Feng Huo Lun (Wind and Fire Wheels)</a>

Out of curiosity, does anyone have a translation for what Caster says in <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxTmZHn0ctQ&feature=related' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>this</a> scene? About the only thing I could make out was her generally tone of chirpy enthusiasm and that she seems to love the player character, or at least pretends she does, judging by how she refers to him as "husband" and "beloved".

My knowledge of the language is almost non-existent, but it merely sounds like she is a bit enthusiastic or overly-friendly in her greeting.

Take what I'm saying with a grain of salt.

I don't think so; my knowledge of the language is also almost non-existant, but I distinctly caught her saying "anata" and "goshujin-sama", which translate to "beloved" and "husband" respectively, if the Romaji-English translator Google gave me was correct.

I'm fairly sure she is using "anata" as a form of "you" and "goshujin-sama" in the form meaning "master". She is a "servant" and I'm fairly certain that scene is her intro in the game.

Unless we get someone in here who knows the language, the argument is moot. I was just putting in my 2 cents.

I'm pretty sure "Goshujin-sama" is another way of saying Master, which we normally hear from maids in anime and such, but I'm assuming it can be used in the same way to refer to Masters from the Holy Grail War. And "Anata", I'm pretty sure its more along the lines of "Dear/Darling/Honey", an affectionate nickname. Sure, they're all used in familial settings, but that's not the only way they can be used.

I decided to try translating the first bit (00:36-1:10). Note that I have seriously no idea about the Japanese language, thus I'm just using a (really old) J-E dictionary. So take the following with a very large grain of salt (hell, the whole shaker).

Code:
ÒüØÒü«Ú¡éÒÇüÒüíÒéçÒüè´¢×´¢×´¢×ÒüúÒü¿Õ¥àÒüúÒüƒ´?ü µÜ½ÒüÅÒÇǵܽÒüÅÒüà
sono tamashii, chotto matta! shibaraku shibaraku
Soul over there, wait just a minute! Just a little while!

Code:
õ¢òÕçªÒü«Þ¬?Òü¿ÒüïÒü¿ÒüïÒü£ÒéôÒâ?Òü£ÒéôÕ¡ÿÒüÿÒü¥ÒüøÒéôÒüîÒÇü
doko no dare to ka to ka zenzen zonjimasen ga
(pretty sure this is wrong)
You really have no idea who I am or where you are

Code:
ÒüØÒü«µàƒÕô¡ÒÇüÒüØÒü«ÚáæÕ?ÁÒéè
sono doukoku, sono ganbari
All that you have lamented and endured

Code:
õ?ûÒü«þÑ×ÒüòÒü¥ÒüîÞü×ÒüìÚÇâÒüùÒüªÒéé
hoka no kami-sama ga kiki nogashite mo
Have been ignored by other gods

Code:
þºüÒü«ÞÇ?Òü½ÒâöÒâ?Òü¿ÒüìÒü¥ÒüùÒüƒ´?ü
watashi no mimi ni PIN to kimashita!
(no idea wtf the ÒâöÒâ? means, ÒüìÒü¥ÒüùÒüƒ is either generosity or her whims)
but I have listened!

(this next line I couldn't match the kanji with the furigana in the first half and have no idea if that's what she said second half since my dictionary doesn't match that pronunciation for the kanji)
Code:
ÒüåÒüïÒü«Òü?ÒüƒÒü¥Òü«ÒüïÒü? ÒééÒüöÒÇÇÒüöÒüùÒéçÒüåÒéëÒüä ÒüéÒéî´?ü
ukanomitanokami mogo goshourai are!
Code:
ÒüôÒü«õ??ÒéÆÕåÑÕ?£Òü½ÞÉ¢ÒüÖÒü«Òü»Òü¥Òüáµù®ÒüÖÒüÄÒÇé
kono hito wo meifu ni otosu no wa mada hayasugi.
This person has fallen and gone to the underworld far too early.

Code:
ÒüáÒüúÒüªÒüôÒü«ÒéñÒé?ÒâíÒâ?Ú¡é
datte kono IKEMEN tamashii
after all, it's such a good looking soul

Code:
ÒüìÒüúÒü¿þ?áµòÁÒü¬õ??ÒüºÒüÖÒüïÒéë´?ü
kitto suteki na hito desu kara!
surely that makes him a wonderful person!

Code:
ÒüíÒéçÒüúÒü¿þºüÒü½õ©ïÒüòÒüäÒü¬
chotto watashi ni kudasai na
so please wait for me.

but I distinctly caught her saying "anata" and "goshujin-sama", which translate to "beloved" and "husband" respectively, if the Romaji-English translator Google gave me was correct.
The one time she says 'goshujin-sama' (before the tutorial battle anyway), she's asking if he accepts her as his servant
Code:
Þ??µû?ÒüîþºüÒü«Òüöõ©?õ??µºÿÒüºÒüäÒüäÒéôÒüºÒüÖÒéêÒü¡´?ƒ
anata ga watashi no goshujinsama de iin desu yo ne?
lit. Is it okay for you to be my master?
And "Anata", I'm pretty sure its more along the lines of "Dear/Darling/Honey", an affectionate nickname.
Think how Caster feels about the teacher Kuzuki in FSN and you've got the right idea.

Game is out. Played a bit and it isn't too bad. Not too sure about where it is going, but considering that the story was scrapped and rewritten at the last minute, it doesn't look too horrible.

Intelligence gathering actually makes a huge difference in battles.

The story was scrapped? What do you mean? Did they Macekre it instead of just doing a proper translation?

He's talking about the actual production of the game, not the localization.

As the story goes, the original scenario for the game was utter shit, so Nasu himself stepped up to the plate and pretty much rewrote the whole thing. (He wasn't originally going to write the scenario, y'see.)

I don't believe it was last minute though, so much as the project was stalled until that point.
