Ranma ½ Fic Search

Are there any fics about Ranma being stuck as girl, Genma being stuck as a panda and they try to break their curses with the aid of Happosai? Traveling around the world, fighting in cool battles, dealing with the trauma of the curses and stuff like that?
I don't want any romance. I want only 2 cursed humans traveling together with their powerful and perverted elder on a quest around the world to search for a (possible) cure of the curses.
Do you honestly believe Happosai would aid Ranma in trying to cure his curse?

I don't.

I agree, though there is a more fundamental problem...

Happosai does not appear until quite some time after Ranma had is cursed and been in Nerima for awhile... I fail to see why Ranma would even know to wait around for him (Genma after all never told Ranma about Happosai, and now cannot except by sin, and he would not) to appear even if he was going to help.

Most of the stories I can think of with Ranma locked at the start and actually actively searching for a cure (as opposed to accepting it) do not have him waiting around for much of anyone, let alone Happosai.

Any fics out there where Genma agrees with Ranma to search for a cure to the curse right at the beginning?
None I'm aware of.

Well, it does happen sometimes in lockfics where both Saotomes are cursed, but that's kind of a different barrel of fish.

Cute...

In any case, for the most part I liked it. Definitely not a normal take on Senshi/Ranma relations...
Could you, perhaps, give a better summary for it? Cause I'm not too intrigued by it...

A case of miscommunication between the Senshi and Ranma (who is an uber-powerful descendent of the people which the evil Silver Millennium almost, but not quite genocided into oblivion back in the day), brought about by 'Evil Pluto' ? (who, as always, is looking for threats to Crystal Tokyo to eliminate). People are killed, revenge is sworn, angst, awe, etc. I haven't managed past chapter 6.

Given that stellar review i can only assume you have the patience of a saint...

It sounds awful, but so does virtually every other story that crosses these two series, and what do you know? They are.

There's a few good ones.

Hell Hath No Fury was a classic that could have gone places.

When Oz doesn't let his love of Ranma-chan cloud him he put out a couple awesome ones he sadly never continued.

Innortal's Wrong Place Wrong Time was a hillarious crack fic.

It can be made readable, it's just that most either aren't or made dated later.

That was not meant as a summary to it, I was responding directly to the author of said fic (or a poster w/ the same name in any case) I assumed he did not need a summary.

I liked it mostly for the originality of the overal approach... while it had many cliches, it is not all that often that in a Ranma/Sailor moon crossover Ranma actually has bad enough relations with them to not only hate them, but to go all out and assasinate some of Sailor Senshi. Killing his mom would do it though.

Only a few others have the Senshi handle Ranma relations as bad as that one... 'Missing Time' is another to come to mind that I hope is someday continued. That author is still writing, just not Ranma fan fiction.

The only fics I've read that handled Ranma vs Senshi right are:

Vengeance And A Half: Where Ranma swears to kill all the Senshi cause the Outers let Akane die so they could search her Crystal. Handled really well in that due to time fuckery from the the black moon clan it mishmashs the whole SM timeline. It's a battle Royal between The Inners (who replaced the original assholish ones native to this timeline), the Outers, The Black Moon Clan, Black Lady, The Witchs, and Sailor Saturn + Ranma Crew vs everyone else. It's like if you had School Rumble, but replaced all the love with hate, hate with more hate, and added magical girls!

And Dark Lords of Nerima: Ranma and Ryouga end up playing protector to a deserting Youma and must now fight a battle against both the Dark Kingdom and the Senshi, leading both into thinking there's a new set of Dark Lords in town.

After reading yet another story where Ranma gets constantly chased by a Shampoo attempting to kill her/marry him... Decided to ask...

Are there any where he simply decides from ether the outset or upon the reunion in Nerima to simply outright kill Shampoo rather than put up with it in canon? Perhap not really merely for his own safety, but for those around him.

I'm extending this to Ryoga due to his antics (Ryoga did attempt to murder him in his sleep)

Off top of head, cannot think of many. One old one comes to mind for Shampoo called 'Love Honor and Duty' by David Kidd though in that he mearly honor duals her grandmother to the point of death and forces her to promise to leave and never return.

I want to read this, but am not sure how the theme will end up being. With death involved, it moves away from comedy and into dark or ... something else.

Shampoo dies, falls in love with the man who killed her, and haunts him for the rest of his life.

Well... really, how many times does he have to put up with someone coming out of the blue and yelling 'Die'... or 'You I Kill' or some variant before he decides to do something.

I merely was wondering... what if he took them seriously... after all, with his skill, he could certainly kill them, and it would after all be self defense... Not like he is the instigator.

Of course, the reason this type of plotline is likely not covered is probably to do with the fact Akane would also likely be dead by end of first week, or at least likely in serious pain (it is rude to kill a host, or the daughter of one)... the table to the head likely being the beginning of a *BAD* move on her part.

Hmmm... kill the fiancees and raise them up as your own private & willing harem. They still retain their own thoughts and feelings, but cannot disobey any direct orders or commands (Indirect commands can be liberally interpreted).

Yep. We can still retain the comedy with this one. Though, it does make Ranma a bit of a Gary Sue; unless we limit him somehow. Any ideas?

Ok, then lets skip the killing and somehow hypnotize them into his permanent slaves. Some excuse about how his blood in their bodies forces them to obey his commands or something.

How do we prevent a Gary Sue situation?

Variations on this exist... most but not all are lemons.

A few Anime Adventure threads comes close 'Psychic Vampire'... as does 'Day by Night', 'Ranma's Robogirls' and to a lesser extent 'Chi Journeymage' and 'ID4'.

Not to mention a whole bunch of different slave threads on the UBEA.

I cannot believe that I FORGOT the lemon angle when I suggested the idea ... :headbanger:

This. I honestly forgot that its a damn good plot-hook for hentai. :(

...

Still, Ignoring the erotic angle, the idea of Ranma hypnotizing his opponents (at least those who want to kill him) is interesting. We could make it so that, only if someone REALLY tried to kill him would he be able to use the power.

And we need some kind of limit on the power itself. Or if there aren't any limits, he gets strained when having multiple people under his control. Simply put - he has unrestricted access to their minds. So, the more he controls, the more "stray" thoughts he gets and it eventually drives him insane.

Or something. My mind feels like goo right now.

-sigh-
