With the demo having hit the e-shop on Thursday and the full localized versions coming to North America Feb 4th and Europe sometime in April, I figured I would display some generosity and create a place for us the discuss the 13th title in the series

Sarja is love. I don't know anything else about the game, I'm getting it on the grounds of it being a Fire Emblem title, but I already know who my favorite magic-user is going to be.

Truthfully, I bought a 3DS in hopes for the next Rune Factory game to come out for the US, but this is also a pretty good game series to get as well.

Wooo, like 'Fire Emblem: Shin Monshou no Nazo Hikari to Kage no Eiyuu', this one also has the 'My in-game avatar that I create is actually a playable character' thing going on.

Spoiler Alert:Even more interesting is the fact that same avatar -in this game I mean- can marry anyone (non-dlc related) of the opposite gender, including Chrom or his daughter from an alternate future.

All in all, this has got to be the highlight of the year for me in terms of 3DS gaming.

Holy crap, I can't wait for the 4th next month. I'm playing FE 12 in order to get me back into the swing of things. Also, Tharja (Sarja)/Avatar is gonna be my main pairing I can tell.

I don't really know anything about the game, but I'm thinking Panne or Aversa...

Got a couple Yandere fans eh? I haven't decided who my main waifu is going to be yet

I have to give Nintendo props: there really trying to make sure this succeeds in the west. Constant character profiles on FB, internet ads, videos, 4 or 5 pages in GameInformer and of course the Demo.

I will admit, I am interested in all the promotion Nintendo is putting behind what is probably one of their niche titles. I'm even slightly tempted to pick up the Special Edition 3DS bundled with this title when it comes out. And yes, they did announce that for at least the US and Japan. Not certain about Europe.

Speaking of all NoA's advirtising, they've even come out with a freaking TV commercial now

Don't have the money to buy a 3ds sadly, anyone know of an emulator?

...Yeah, no. You did search by yourself first before asking this right?

Let's see...taking a look...No known working emulators. All fake emulators that are either surveys or viruses. Some kind of anti-hacking thing that still hasn't been bypassed since it bricks the 3DS. Blah, blah, blah. Rinse and repeat.

Save your money as best as you can and buy the damn thing. This is a series that should be bought IMO.

The fire emblem franchise is tempting enough that I am almost willing to buy the bundle from Gamestop... and I really, really hate Gamestop.

Yeah, I've never played a Fire Emblem game in my life and the promotional material is making me change my mind. I'm with OniGanon though, Aversa is making me smile for all the wrong reasons...

EDIT: That or Lucina, ahahaha.

Nah, I can wait. Ninty is good for a new bundle once or twice a year.

As a side note, I didn't get the P4G bundle because I already had a Vita from launch.

You know, I can be really impatient in some things. I could have waited one more day since the Gamestop I go to didn't have it yet (since it is supposed to come out TODAY) but I then grabbed one of the $50 prepaid cards and downloaded it instead.

I now realize this, but I forgot to cancel my pre-order. Not a bad thing since I do like physical copies for one thing. Also I recall there was supposed to be extra stuff for pre-ordering it.

So all in all, I spent ~$80 for just one game.

...I am not regretting my choice. :sisi:

In fairness, it is not just the store that you went to that apparently had problems. Supposedly pretty much none of the retail chains got their copies in.

At least your store gave you an estimate of tomorrow. The store I went to basically said "sometime this week, Nintendo is being weird about this." They then told me to just call them tomorrow and see if maybe they got it in.

Shipping errors all over I'm hearing. There's a thread on /v/ where they're talking about it.

Amazon didn't ship my copy, which says a lot about how bad the situation is... Also, played the demo and whoooooooa. Good stuff there.

Yeah, wow, I have to say again that I don't regret getting the digital one with the words 'not enough copies made so we're making more to meet demand so the game will be delayed for about two to three days' kind of excuse.

Okay so far I've paired/married Chrom up with Sumia, Lissa with Donnel, Frederick with Panne, Maribelle with Lon'qu, and Sully with Stahl.

Word of possible advice: As soon as you can get a Class Change, Use it on your character as soon as possible and change him/her into a Mercenary for the ability to have a chance to reduce chances of your weapon breaking by a percentage of twice your luck stat. So far there's only about one person who is already a Mercenary, but the only ones who can change to that class so far is Donnel, Cordelia and, of course your character. Pair them up with people who are capable of adding Luck and you'll never have to worry about breaking your best weapons for a long while.

I got to say, I am hardly surprised that they included a very convincing trap in this game.

Dammit Japan.

To be honest, I completely forgot how freaking hard this game can be. It's very frustrating to go for a no deaths game, but since they put in so much effort to developing characters (and removing the support cap) I don't really have a choice...
