I've been hanging around GameFAQs way too long. :sisi:
You've kept your sanity and emerged stronger for the experience.

It's actually pretty cool that you can report all this. I've been wandering by Serenes Forest every now and then, but I haven't seen the inheritance lines laid out so neatly. Thanks by the way.

Holy shit you're good!

Also, siegfried: Donnel is a less optimal choice than he seems because his stat CAPS are lower than most. He'll cap faster but wind up with lower total stats than other units, as will his children.
Eh, While I spent some time with trying to build up parents to increase children's stats, I didn't really deal that much with "ideal" pairings because it wasn't really necessary, at least not on Hard, can't say how necessary it is for Lunatic. Even without "optimal" breeding, the children can all tear through maps just fine for me.

Donnel just worked out fine for me in that I had him marry Cordelia, and Severa is now pretty brutal, though I opted to instead of giving her a more useful long term skill, to give her Donnel's skill to increase the odds of stats going up. She fairs just fine though given her having Galeforce from Cordelia, activating Sol nearly every time she attacks and being a great money maker with Lief's Blade+Armsthrift+capped luck.

But as I said, I wasn't really aiming for "ideal" set ups...I'm not even really sure whether or not I had any particular reasoning for most of the marriages that I put together...I may have just put people together based on who seemed to be the most contrasting/unfitting together for about half of the marriages.

I've found that the ultimate minmax pairings aren't strictly necessary on hard mode but I'll bet they're pretty essential on lunatic. Of course, having strong characters is more fun than not understanding the inheritance system until you match up Cordelia and Virion and Severa gets Rally Skill and Rally Speed instead of anything useful. :headbanger:

But hey, no big. I've got Tharja and MU ripping through maps like wet tissue paper.

In fairness, if you don't like the skills that you pass on, that is entirely your fault. Children simply inherit the last skill on their parents list from each parent. You either had skills arranged poorly, or didn't level the parents up to get a more desirable skill. Plus, you can always go to the prep screen of a mission, check the map to see what the childs build looks like, and then back out to the world map if you dislike it.

Just in case some forgot about it, they started to release the more characters-oriented DLC. Festival and beach maps are out. Hot springs map will pretty much be next.

After those maps, only four will be left: The ultimate opponents map and the Future of Despair maps.

Future of Despair (called Future Past) started coming out.

And the first one is incredibly annoying. If you haven't raised the stats of Noire, Nah, Cynthia and Kjelle's parents to near cap, forget this: they won't survive this.

The parents or the kids?

Also, Sumia never married in my game. What does that do to Cynthia?
The kids. The four of them appear as NPCs on the first map: with stats based on their parents's stats.

And the Risen love to target them with ranged weapons. Guess what happen if they aren't strong enough?

As for Cynthia, no damn idea.

Disabled.

You didn't think it was going to be THAT easy, didn't you?

Besides, Sorcerers with long-range tomes spawn too.

And done with second map of Future of Despair.

Blargh. Fliers coupled with Galeforce are pretty much required to even want a hope of saving Owain and Inigo.
