You know, I never understood the Shino/Hana pairing... I just can't see it. Especially with the age difference.

I can see her teasing Shino lightly, because he's friends/teammates with her brother, but that's about it.

Still, it's not like I hate the pairing. I just can't see it.
I would speculate that Hana is more levelheaded than the rest of her family, and may therefore be the one that would not be opposed to being with someone less obnoxious and showboaty, but still damn strong. Shino is near perfect in those regards, plus already knows he's not likely to be frightened off by her mother, given his time with Kiba.

Shino, on the other hand... I have no idea, honestly. He's a bit of a puzzle, to be honest, but unlikely to resist (much) should Hana put the moves on him... and to be frank, that's about the only reason in my mind why ShinoHana would happen -- Hana hears a lot about this "Shino" guy, and later on runs into him and gets interested in the mystery that is Shino.

You guys are overthinking this. It's two minimally developed characters with one known connection, nothing more, nothing less. Hana is pretty much a blank slate and Shino is a huge enigma, while the one thing they have in common (Kiba) is a ready made excuse to get them interacting with each other. It's a creative writer's dream, because they can easily start with what's given and take it basically wherever they want.

Also, I don't get the age difference comment.
I mean yes, pre-timeskip it seems big, but after it is just a five year difference where they are 16 and 21. Most wouldn't see a big deal if it was the other way around, and in fact I've seen many pairings with much bigger differences both in real life and in Naruto fanfiction... but in Naruto the male is Naruto himself so people consider it more aceptable for some reason?

Probably because you would traditionally think of the male being the older one. But, again, Kiba's family doesn't follow that norm, as the dad had abandoned the family due to his mother's raucous behavior (or at least that's what we're lead to believe).

Hinata's training under Brock Lesner bears fruit...  and a lot of pain.

Some folks just want to watch the world burn...

"What did she say to her?"

"Trust me, you don't want to know..."

Someone wondered if MenmaIno would be like the SasuHina of RtN.

I'm gonna be honest, 21 and 16 is a pretty disturbing age difference as well. 24 and 30 is acceptable, but tbh the idea of a sophmore/junior highschooler and someone that's already graduated college getting together just screams not OK to me.

Like, that's a fucking colossal maturity and experience difference.

Not OK.

If you can look past pre-teens fighting and killing what's so disturbing/SoD breaking for a measly five year age gap.

In the naruto world I'm somewhat OK with it.

But he was talking about other fictions and IRL.

A five year age gap is nothing, depending on the relative ages of all involved. For instance, a twelve year old and a seventeen year old is some what implausible when applied to real life. However, an eighteen year old and a twenty three year old is a completely different story. The only disparity in a Shino/Hana match when hedging on their age would be the fact most women prefer to date older men rather than younger. Maturity is serious business apparently, and one can't really argue Shino's maturity much either way given he's so mysterious.

This isn't to say there are outliers for either side. I dated a thirty year old woman when I was twenty one, didn't give two shits about age at that point. Likewise later I dated a nineteen year old when I was twenty four. It's all gravy so long as those involved are capable of making their own choices (and thus their own mistakes) with a reasonable amount of physical and emotional maturity involved.

Oh yeah, Katsuyu is implied to be vastly huge, with only small pieces of her having ever been summoned. Her real form probably would be similar in size to the Ten-tails. And slugs do generally eat plants... fuck, that plan could have actually worked. And it would have been a hilarious way to defeat Madara.

Yeah, but I wonder how much chakra would have been needed for it, Tsunade and Sakura with Byakugo acting together only managed 1/10th of her mass

It's not like Naruto can't share chakra.

Alright, I have a request that I'm not entirely sure actually exists. Is there any fanart of Naruto pulling a Killer B? And by that I mean using nine swords.

Haven't done this in a long time... ahem...

"Hey Sasuke!"

"Hn."

"Looks like I got a message from that guy you're looking for."

"...Give it here."

Foolish little brother, I can see how weak you have become even under Orochimaru's tutelage. You lack the hatred to defeat me, and I grow tired of your pathetic attempts to try. So now, I will take away and destroy everything you even remotely care about."

"Starting with this girl."

"By the time you read this, I will have already captured her and begin corrupting her until she finds you as repulsive and useless as I do. Then I will defile her in ways your impotent little mind cannot begin to understand, carve carnal pleasures into her body until she is little more that a lustful slave to me. I will show you that you cannot defeat me, and you cannot protect anyone, foolish little brother."

"Wow, harsh shit. Oh, well; sucks to be her. What are we doing now?"

------

Two hours later...

It was decidedly the most one-sided fight Suigetsu had ever seen. Made him feel a little afraid of Sasuke after that terrifying battle.

"You saved me!"

"...you're still annoying. Get out of here before I change my mind."

"All right Suigetsu, let's get out of here."

"Sure thing; let me get my sword over there. I'll catch up with you."

"Hn."

Two minutes later...

"You do know I was thanking you back there, right? Getting Sasuke to come to my rescue so fast! Ingenious!"

"Yeah, yeah... I just hate it when you get all sappy with that guy, though."

"So, are you going to tell him we're secretly dating each other?"

"...so long as it's pretend, I can live with it."

"So, how did you get him to come so quickly?"

"mmm.... Let's just say sometimes the pen is mightier than the sword."
Moral of the story: There is no such thing as a coincidence when it comes to love, only angles.

....I literally hadn't been to sleep in over 24 hours at the time I found that, and it was found under the SasuSaku search option. That I used it to replace a very obvious SasuSaku pic because of the nuance (and Sasuke isn't fucking smiling like an OOC idiot) to complement the surprise SuiSaku pic I stumbled across... oh, the irony.

I'll swap that one out for the original one... soon as I find it.

Meanwhile, have at you!

This last image was the original image I used before I swapped it out with the (unlabeled) nonSasuSaku image that I re-edited with a different pic because I went for a different vibe on it. It's so blasted hard to find SasuSaku pics where Sasuke is stone cold serious, because just about every one of them has him smiling like an idiot, being an idiot, or being a smooth ass player, and it drives me up the wall because Sasuke is none of that. I like the Sasuke of few emotions because it gives it a tone of some real shit going down should you ever mess with his woman. Sasuke being all "GYAHAHAHA!" or stupidly happy just comes off as wrong, like he got brainwashed. Naruto can do stupid happy; Sasuke can't pull it off. I wish artists would realize that and start playing to his strengths.
